Meghan was also asked what adults could learn from younger generations. She praised the Goals for doing more than simply talking about making challenges, telling them you're putting the does behind the says, you're actually doing things to make it better. Feeding her daughter was also extremely difficult. Wise described having to feed Emma desperately slow because otherwise she would be vomiting constantly. By June of nineteen seventy four, Wives decided to end her daughter's life. On June third, she gave Emma an overdose of Mandrek's sleeping tablets. Wise later said she wanted her daughter to die quickly, peacefully, and painlessly.

She pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility. The court imposed a sentence of one year's probation.
