Meghan “Homesick” for California as Harry’s Calls to King Charles Reportedly Go Unanswered
Is Meghan Markle already homesick for California? A report claims Meghan wants regular trips back to the United States during the Sussex family’s extended stay in Britain and hopes to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in California. Harry, however, reportedly wants the family to remain in Britain until at least the spring, potentially creating some difficult decisions over where Archie and Lilibet will spend the holidays. The couple are also reportedly keeping their Montecito estate rather than selling or renting it.
At the same time, another report claims Prince Harry’s calls to King Charles are not being put through, with an unnamed source alleging that the King and Prince William are frustrated by Harry’s continuing battle over security.
Meghan’s attempt to rebuild her public profile in Britain is also under scrutiny. PR specialist Nick Ede, who says he was once a friend of Meghan’s, argues that public perceptions will be her biggest obstacle and says the two eventually went their separate ways. Another report claims Meghan has been leaning on Ellen DeGeneres as she adjusts to life in Britain, while Radar Online says Meghan is considering expanding her lifestyle interests into a British yoga and wellness business.
Lauren Silverman, Simon Cowell’s wife, has also revealed that she spoke with Meghan about charity work and protecting children online, although no joint project has been announced.
And could Meghan and Harry’s wedding tiara controversy be heading for the big screen? A film about Queen Elizabeth’s longtime dresser Angela Kelly is reportedly in development, potentially reviving Harry’s account of the dispute over Meghan’s wedding tiara. One commentator claims there may be another incident from that period the Sussexes would rather not see dramatized.
Plus, tabloid sources claim Harry is aggressively pursuing new opportunities for both himself and Meghan while the couple increasingly “divide and conquer” professionally.

0:03 Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigue. I am your host, Mark Francis. A PR specialist who says he was once close friends with Meghan Markle believes public perceptions will be her biggest challenge following her reported return to Britain. Nick Eade told Vanessa Feltz's Vanessa by Royal Appointment podcast, I understand the game. I understand it extremely well. I have lots of friends in Hollywood who tell me lots of horrific stories about Meghan. Some of them I'm sure are true, some of them maybe not. But everyone does have an opinion, and that's going to be her biggest problem. We love to pigeonhole people in the UK, especially. In one minute, she's a great mother. One minute, she's an entrepreneur. Then you're a public speaker. Asked about their friendship, he said they no longer keep in touch, although he described himself as not bitter. Now, I'm not friendly with her anymore.
1:00 It's not that we ever fell out. We just went our separate ways. She's very good at going her separate ways from people. Obviously, she's part of the royal family. She decided that wasn't right. She also knows I know a lot of mutual friends as well, and we always say this. There are more people useful to her than I was at the time. I did a lot of stuff with her. We were really good friends. We had a lovely relationship. Meghan is reportedly getting support from Ellen DeGeneres. Star magazine says Meghan has been confiding in Ellen about her relationship with the royal family. An unnamed source claims she feels William and Catherine are freezing her out despite efforts to make peace. That source describes Ellen as sympathetic to Meghan and says she finds the situation disgusting. Ellen totally understands why Meghan would want to throw in the towel, the source said. The same person claims Ellen and Portia had a very hard time adjusting to England after their own move, but eventually found their feet. But they stayed the course, and now they're very happy with their new life, and she's convinced that if Meghan can hang in there, the same thing will happen for her. Meghan Markle could be taking her lifestyle business into yoga, according to a new report from Radar Online. The report claims she is considering a British wellness venture that could include online content, events, products or partnerships. Their source said, Nothing has been finalized, but she has been thinking about how her interest in wellness could develop into a proper commercial offering that might involve digital content, events, products, or collaborations, rather than simply
2:33 opening a traditional yoga studio. She thinks a yoga business under her branding could be great in the UK. There is an enormous wellness market here, and she believes there is room to create something that feels premium, but also welcoming and accessible. Yoga would be familiar territory for Megan. Her mother, Doria Ragland, has worked as an instructor. And Megan spoke about her own interest in the practice long before marrying Harry. Fitness and well-being also featured in her former lifestyle website, The Tig. Megan has spoken with Simon Cowell's wife, Lauren, about charity work and children's online safety. According to Lauren, who says she relates to the scrutiny Megan has faced. Speaking to The Sun, Lauren described a Zoom conversation with the Duchess and explained why she felt a connection. I definitely feel a lot of, I don't want to say similarities, but I can relate to her in a lot of ways. Lauren said they discussed some charity work stuff, including their shared interest in protecting children online.
3:32 She did not announce a joint project or give details of any plans. The Express places the conversation against reports that Harry and Meghan have moved to the Cotswolds, where Simon and Lauren also have a home. Lauren experienced intense attention when her relationship with Simon became public in 2013. While she was still married to Andrew Silverman, looking back, she said she felt ashamed and embarrassed and beat herself up so much. She said she allowed what other people were saying about me to define me. Megan reportedly wants regular trips back to California as part of the family's extended stay in Britain, with Thanksgiving and Christmas said to be under discussion. A source tells The Telegraph, Megan's heart is back in California. She wants to spend the holiday there with her mom. At the heart of this is the fact that Megan is very homesick, She misses her friends, she misses her day-to-day routine, and she really misses her mum.
4:23 She talks to Doria every day, usually multiple times, but it's not the same as spending every weekend with her. According to that account, Harry would prefer the family to remain in Britain until at least spring, while Meghan wants to return for Thanksgiving, which falls on November 26, and spend Christmas in California. The source adds, With the kids in school, they can't keep bouncing between California and the UK whenever they feel like it, so they've got some difficult decisions coming up because they are not on the same page. She's willing to tough it out in England, but it will be a lot more bearable for her if they can make regular trips back. Harry and Meghan are keeping their Montecito home for now, according to Page Six. Despite speculation that their return to Britain could lead to a sale or rental, an unnamed source told the outlet, The couple bought the $ 14. 5 million estate in 2020. The property has nine bedrooms, 16 bathrooms, a pool, a tennis court and a separate guest residence. Prince Harry's calls to King Charles are reportedly not being put through. According to an unnamed source who told News Nation, Harry's calls aren't being put through. The King and William are treating the situation the same way they did when Harry threw international tantrums while living in Montecito. He doesn't call to catch up or try to meet up. He calls to complain and try to bully his father into getting his taxpayer-funded security back. It's exhausting and ill-advised. More Palace in just a moment. A film about Queen Elizabeth's long-time dresser, Angela Kelly,
5:55 could bring the dispute over Meghan's wedding tiara back into the headlines. The project is reportedly being developed by Searchlight Pictures under the tentative title Trouble. In his memoir, Harry accused Kelly of delaying access to the tiara Meghan needed for her hair trial. Meghan ultimately wore Queen Mary's diamond bandeau at their wedding that May, Now Charlotte Griffiths, the Mail on Sunday's editor-at-large, has suggested there may be another episode from that period. Apparently there's another incident from around that time, she said. Griffiths claimed the Sussexes were praying it does not come out in this drama. A source tells Reality Tea Harry is running from one gig to the next and working all his contacts to find opportunities, adding that his efforts were not just for himself. He also wanted to open doors for Meghan too, something the insider said he had promised her. The source also claimed that dealing with his strained royal relationships had become a constant headache, and that the Sussexes were spending a lot more time apart than either of them would like. Megan, meanwhile, was reportedly putting her attention into parenting and her lifestyle brand.
7:00 The insider described her as not interested in following him around like some Stepford wife, saying her preferred approach was to divide and conquer. New Ideas' unnamed insider says Harry wants Megan to work. In fact, while he was at that well-child event and being offered radio gigs for Megan, she was having a jolly in a pub with Ellen and Portia. It's become a hot topic between them that's yet to be resolved. An unnamed source described her routine as a couple of as-ever business phone calls in the morning, then reformer Pilates or yoga with friends, all in time for the school bell to pick up Archie and Lilibet. Harry's doing everything he can to keep them afloat, but they're pushing the ledger by keeping Montecito... Meghan wants to keep it in case things go wrong in the UK, but it's a big ask, especially if she's backing off from her plans to revive her acting career in the UK.
7:47 In the Express, Virginia Blackburn writes, If Meghan really cares about her husband, she should encourage him to let his poor mother rest in peace and focus on the future, not least because of what this is doing to their own children. Haz spoke of genetic pain and suffering he suffered from his royal upbringing, but is he not passing on exactly the same? And there you have it.
