Former BBC Royal correspondent Peter Hunt has raised the long term possibility of rival centers of influence around William and Harry. It is a clever phrase, but it is analysis not a constitutional development. William is heir to the throne and the central future of the working monarch. Harry is a non working royal with global fame private income in his own media platform. Those very different kinds of power. A Sussex presence in Britain could create competition for headlines, especially if Harry appears relaxed and familiar, while Megan launches projects from a UK base. It could also reduce the melodrama by making family contact routine. The British public may remain frustrated with Harry while retaining affection for the old Harry. Megan faces a harder reception and inevitable comparison with Princess Catherine. Whether she can charm Britain again is a cultural question, not an official test. She must pass.
