According to sources cited by Radar Online, the proposed Netflix project would examine Diana's life, her treatment by the media and the monarchy, and the impact of her death on her sons. One source claimed the prospect of a commercial documentary has deeply unsettled the Prince of Wales. They said William finds the idea sickening and deeply distressing, adding that the project risks reopening long standing wounds within the family. By contrast, insiders suggest Harry believes he has every right to commemorate his mother.

He has never hidden his anger about the Crown, and this feels like reopening a fight he thought should be over. William is said to be exploring possible avenues to challenge or block the anniversary project. The Palace Aid was quoted as saying, William is prepared to take this as far as necessary. He is actively exploring every available obstacle that could be placed in the project's path, from legal avenues to institutional influence, and he is willing to use whatever leverage exists to challenge it.

Then comes the crown. That thousand years of royal history has to be protected, and that will be in William's hands. He can't afford to let it break while he's in control of it. So William is very mindful and his world is very very protected. His little bubble of himself, Catherine and the children are isolated in a way, but he has to do that to keep it safe. I do applaud Harry's move.

He could be working alongside William to modernize the institution from within, rather than sniping at it from California. He could be using his platform to genuinely advocate for veterans, rather than merely invoking his service when it suits his public relations requirements more palasing.
