0:00 A calorouga Shark Media. Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigue. I am your host, Mark Francis. King Charles held a family summit of sorts last week. The King hosted a rare private family dinner with several senior royals in Scotland as questions continue over Prince Harry's expected return to Britain. According to The Daily Mail, the couple hosted what is known in royal circles as a dine and sleep at the Palace of holyrood House, with the Prince of Wales, Princess Royal and the Duke of Edinburgh all staying over night. Prince William had been an Aberdeen earlier in the day for an engagement connected to his Homewoods initiative on homelessness, before traveling to Edinburgh to join the family. Princess Anne and Prince Edward had already been with the King at a garden party at holyrood House private family gatherings. I'm not listed in the Court circular and Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the dinner, but the timing is likely to attract a ten coming just days before Prince Harry is expected in the UK for engagements connected to the Invictor's Games. Even more footage from the Princess of Wales's Three Peaks challenge has emerged. The video shows Princess Catherine making her way down Mount Snowden alongside her younger brother James.

The Princess kept her hiking outfit practical, wearing red north faced shorts, a baseball cap and a backpack as the group completed the final leg of the challenge. The footage was captured by entrepreneur Philip Tabaja, who said he had no idea he had just encountered the future Queen. He wrote on social media. There I was congratulating fellow climbers as they made their way down from the windy summit. Little did I know it was actually speaking to Royalty. The Princess of Wales had just stopped to congratulate me on completing the challenge and then agreed to take a selfie. The pr Machine wants us to know Kate is back to work. According to the Court circular, Catherine welcomed Australian philanthropist Nicola Forrest in her capacity as of the Royal Foundation, the charitable organization she shares with Prince William. As is often the case with private meetings, no details of the discussion were released and no photographs were published, but Royal watchers have noted that the meeting comes as hopes continue to grow that the Prince and Princess of Wales could return to Australia in the near future. A new report suggests family plans to spend the summer much closer to home. Daily Mail Royal editor Charlotte Griffiths said that she had been told William wants to hunkered down with the kids after they finish at school. It's a really important summer for the Whales family. The timing is significant. Prince George is expected to begin at Eton in September. The report says William is expected to split its time between Amner Hall, the family's Norfolk home, and the annual summer gathering at Balmoral in Scotland. In the statement of the Royal Family said Her Majesty and Misrowling discussed the importance of ensuring that young people have access to books and the vital part reading plays in opening doors for future generations. The Palace also noted that the Queen and Rowling share a deep commitment to children reading for pleasure. Rowling, of course, as the creator of the Harry Potter series, much of which she wrote while living in Edinburgh. The city remains closely associated with the books, with locations including the Elephant House Cafe drawing visitors from around the world. King Charles arrived to a military welcome before receiving the symbolic keys to the City of Edinburgh the Lord Provost Robert Aldridge. As tradition dictates, the Lord Provost declared, we, the Lord Provost of members of the City of Edinburgh Council, welcome your Majesty to the capital city of your ancient and hereditary Kingdom of Scotland, and offer for your greatest acceptance the keys of your Majesty's good City of Edinburgh. The King responded with the century's old reply, and I returned these keys perfectly convinced that they cannot be placed in better hands than those of the Lord Provost and Councilors of my good City of Edinburgh. The Queen's meeting with author J. K. Rowling has also sparked criticism from some LGBTQ plus activists. After the royal family shared photographs of the vision on social media during the final day of Pride Month, one commenter wrote, there's a lot of other children's authors that you could have worked on with this. Another commentant during Pride Month is a statement criticism reflects the continuing controversy surrounding Rowling's public comments on sex and gender. In recent years, the Harry Potter author has become one of the most prominent figures in Britain's debate over transgender rights, drawing both strong support and equal strong opposition. In just a moment, Megan announced the release of Lavender honey, the fourth honey in the collection, following Wildflower, sage and orange blossom. In a post on as Eva's Instagram account, the brand introduced the product by saying, introducing our newest lavender honey, your foreigal of summer with a delicate warmth that lingers beautifully. The post also announced the brand's orange blossom honey, previously sold only as part of a two jar set, is now available as a single jar. But it wasn't the honey that caught people's attention. One of the promotional photographs showed honey dripping from the metal spoon, prompting debate among some social media users over whether metal should be used with honey. One critic wrote, Megan Michael is not the beekeeper that she pretends to be. Honey is acidic and full of delicate enzymes. Using metal spoons can trigger reactivity and degrade beneficial enzymes, ruining the honey's natural goodness and flavor. Beekeepers know to use wood or a bamboo. Another added, she is not anything that she pretends to be. Everything is an act. A third simply wrote, fakers, ever, there you have it before we go.
