Camilla’s Secret Fergie Reunion? Meghan’s Paris Clue and Harry’s Diana Battle

Could Queen Camilla secretly reconnect with Sarah Ferguson? Reports claim Camilla is considering meeting her former friend despite alleged opposition from King Charles and royal advisers. Sources claim the two women once shared a close bond and that any reunion would happen privately and on Camilla’s terms.
Meanwhile, Lizzie Cundy claims Sarah Ferguson wants to tell her story and says there is a “bidding war” surrounding a possible book and interview. Ferguson’s spokesperson has denied plans for a tell-all memoir, but Cundy says Sarah has plenty she could discuss, including Princess Diana, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

There are also new claims about tension involving Queen Camilla, Harry and Meghan, while an Instagram photograph has sparked speculation that Meghan could return to Paris Fashion Week. Her attendance has not been announced.

And Princess Diana is once again at the center of the William and Harry divide. Reports claim Harry could move ahead with a Diana tribute despite William’s objections, while Richard Kay suggests William could eventually restore his mother’s HRH style after becoming king. Omid Scobie, meanwhile, challenges the familiar narrative that Catherine could serve as the peacemaker between the brothers.

Questions this episode answers: Will Queen Camilla meet Sarah Ferguson again? Were Camilla and Sarah Ferguson once close friends? Is Sarah Ferguson planning a memoir or major television interview? Could Meghan Markle attend Paris Fashion Week? What is Prince Harry planning for the thirtieth anniversary of Princess Diana’s death? Does Prince William oppose another Diana documentary? Could William restore Princess Diana’s HRH style when he becomes king? And could Catherine really help reconcile Prince William and Prince Harry?

0:03 Hello and welcome to Palace Intrigue. I am your host, Mark Francis. Queen Camilla is reportedly considering reconnecting with Sarah Ferguson, despite advice from within the royal household to keep her distance. Closer claims Camilla is finding it difficult to maintain the separation from someone who was once a close friend. An insider said, Don't forget, there was a time that Camilla and Sarah were as close as sisters. They had a very genuine bond, so totally cutting her off has been really hard. It was bearable when Sarah was a thousand miles away, but she's practically down the road now and Camilla is starting to feel like she ought to meet with her. The source alleges that Camilla feels badly about the breakdown of the friendship and may be reconsidering her position.

0:53 According to the same account, Charles and royal advisors oppose renewed contact because of concerns surrounding Ferguson's reputation and her links to Jeffrey Epstein. The source adds, The King and everyone around him have advised her that Sarah is radioactive and needs to be avoided. And so far, she's been towing the line, but it does seem pretty unlikely that she'll keep that up forever. The insider also suggested Camilla would ultimately make her own decision. She's become very headstrong. If she decides that she wants to give Sarah another chance, she will. She's potentially the one person who could help Sarah get some sort of redemption within the family, so it would be a huge step forward. A separate source told Heat, well, they were very close friends for years, so Sarah feels incredibly betrayed. She says they owe her at least a conversation and a shred of sympathy, especially someone like Camilla, who she once considered a close ally.

1:47 And if Camilla does go ahead and meet with Sarah, it probably won't end with one cup of tea. There's just so much history between them. Sarah has known Camilla for most of her life because Camilla was very close to her mother, so there is a very real bond there, regardless of how difficult it might be to maintain right now. It hasn't totally disappeared. There won't be any big public show of support, at least not yet. It will be extremely private, probably just the two of them, and entirely on Camilla's terms. Camilla will want to be as respectful as possible towards Charles, since everyone knows he won't be happy about this. So if she does meet with Sarah, you can count on her making sure it's all completely below the radar. Heat also cites a Sun report that Ferguson is preparing to rent a property in the home counties for £ 10, 000 a month. For Sarah, that would be more than enough. She will see it as a chance to get her foot back in the door and will no doubt go all out to make it just the first of many meetings with her. Lizzie Cundy says her friend Sarah Ferguson wants to tell her story in a book or television interview, despite Ferguson's spokesperson denying plans for a tell-all memoir. Appearing on Channel 5's Storm and Alexis, Cundy said, There is a bidding war for her story, for her book, as well as for her interview, and she wants to tell it. There are a lot of areas Sarah wants to talk about, from Diana's death, Meghan and Harry, and I have to say I think people will want to read it and hear it. I think she's learned a lot of lessons from what happened to Andrew.

3:18 She feels she is queen of the comebacks and there's a way to revive her career. People like Fergie. The Queen liked Fergie. She was a very different breath of fresh air when she came into the royal family. Queen Camilla reportedly suspects Harry and Meghan privately encouraged Charles Spencer's memoir while trying to improve their relationship with King Charles. An insider claims Camilla believes the couple had been supporting the book from behind the scenes. and was angered by what she saw as the absolute duplicitness of it all. According to the National Examiner's source, the timing was particularly frustrating because Charles and Camilla had been so graciously welcoming them and turning the other cheek after earlier family disputes.

3:59 The insider also claims some of her frustration was directed at her husband, describing her as furious that Charles ever convinced her to play nice with them. More palace in just a moment. An Instagram photograph has prompted speculation that Meghan could attend Paris Fashion Week, which runs until October 6th. The Daily Express reports that followers spotted as-ever bookmarks resting on what appeared to be a Paris travel guide. Her attendance has not been announced. Meghan sat in the front row at Balenciaga's show last year to support creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli, whose designs she has worn on several occasions.

4:40 That was followed by a poorly received social media post in the Instagram clip. Meghan shared a short video showing the city lights outside her car window and panning to show her relaxing with her feet popped up on the seat. Social media users argued the clip was filmed near the Pont d'Alma tunnel where Princess Diana died, calling the feet-up gesture disrespectful. Harry would reportedly press ahead with a tribute to Princess Diana, regardless of William's objections, according to an unnamed source quoted by Closer, who said, If anything, there's a big part of him that loves getting a rise out of William. Harry is a very stubborn person, so the fact that Prince William clearly doesn't want him in England is only making him more determined to stay, the source claimed. Omid Scobie has challenged the idea that Kate could bring William and Harry back together, saying her influence over the brothers' relationship has been overstated. Speaking in the documentary Harry and Meghan, The Return of the Prince, Scobie said...

5:35 there's always this talk of Kate potentially being the peacekeeper, the one that could bring the two brothers together. If I've learned anything over the years from covering them, it's that Kate has very little to do with that relationship between the brothers. In The Express, Chris Richards explains, Princess Kate just made a secret power move. Harry and Meghan should look and learn. Kate wore earrings that belonged to Princess Diana to the Digger premiere. Richards describes the jewellery choice as a gesture of support for William and remembrance of his mother. He adds, Paying tribute to her late mother-in-law Diana was a generous masterstroke by Kate, further highlighting her empathy. Despite Rich's opinion, we imagine had Meghan worn earrings that belonged to Diana, Meghan would have been accused of trying to copy Diana with pages of columns dedicated to the choice. Richard Kay has suggested William could eventually restore Diana's HRH style when he becomes king, fulfilling a promise he reportedly made to his mother. Writing in the Daily Mail, Kay contrasts that possible tribute with Harry's reported discussions about a Diana documentary for next year's 30th anniversary of her death. Kay reports that potential contributors have already been approached. One person told him they had been asked to discuss Diana's taste in music, while others had been contacted about her early life and personality. A source close to Harry said several projects were under consideration, with nothing finalised or confirmed. William's position goes back to the brothers' joint tribute in 2017. Introducing that film, he said, We

7:05 won't be doing this again. He explained that they did not intend to speak so openly about their mother again, hoping the documentary would preserve memories from those who knew her best. According to Kay, friends say William does not want to reverse that commitment. One person who has known him throughout his life said, He doesn't like being bounced into things, so he will think very carefully how to proceed. Next summer will also bring Camilla's 80th birthday in July and the Invictus Games in Birmingham, followed by the Diana anniversary in August. Kay reports that Charles wants a substantial celebration for Camilla. And there you have it. If you'd like to email us, our address is thepalaceintrigue at gmail.com.
