0:03 Caloroga Shark Media. Hello and welcome to a special bonus episode of Palace Intrigue. I'm your host, Mark Francis, Prince Harry and Meghan Marko may be forced to evacuate their Montecito mansion as wildfires continue to wreak havoc across southern California. Their home, located in a designated high fire risk area, faces increasing danger from the blazers, with local utility companies Southern California Edison SCE warning of possible power shutoffs to prevent further fire outbreaks. A spokesperson for SCE confirmed that they are considering public safety power shut offs in Santa Barbara County, where Montecito lies, due to the red flag warning and heightened wildfire risks. Affected customers are being contacted, the spokesperson said, adding that Montecito is among the areas at risk. Nearby Los Angeles has already seen over thirty thousand residents evacuated from neighborhoods like Pacific Palisades, where fires fueled by strong winds have burned thousands of acres. Montecito, a small coastal town of about ten thousand residents, has stringent fire control measures in place, but its proximity to the fires is cause for concern. Harry and Meghan purchased their nine bedroom Montecito home in twenty twenty for fourteen point sixty five million dollars. The property, surrounded by lush gardens, has drawn criticism from environmentalists due to its water usage in a region often plagued by drought. The wildfires are
1:34 not the only emotional toll for the couple this week. Meghan recently shared her grief over the death of her beloved rescue beagle Guy on Instagram. In a deeply personal post, Meghan revealed her grief, writing I have cried too many tears to count, the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they're not there. But they are, and that's okay too. Jouny was nothing short of remarkable. Rescued from a Kentucky kill shelter in twenty fifteen, he was given a second chance at life when Meghan adopted him through a Canadian rescue organization. Meghan recounted their first meeting, saying she fell in love instantly. The beagle became her steadfast companion, witnessing milestones from her time on suits to her royal wedding day with Prince Harry. Guy's resilience shone through in twenty seventeen when he survived a severe accident that left him with two broken legs. Under the care of renowned Vet Dr. Noel Fitzpatrick, he made an extraordinary recovery.
2:31 Meghan reflected on that period, sharing how she and Harry made late night visits to see him during his months long rehabilitation. Over the years, Guy became a symbol of Meghan's advocacy for rescue animals. She celebrated his charmed life, acknowledging the love and care he brought into her world. Guy even featured in Meghan's new lifestyle series with Love Meghan, further cementing his role in her family. This last marks a poignant chapter for Meghan, who has long been an advocate for animal welfare. She continues to care for her other rescue dogs and including Poola and Mamma Mea, who joined their family in recent years. In her farewell, Megan thanks the many vets and supporters who cared for Guy. Adding, because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you'll come to understand why I'm so devastated by his loss. I think he may fall a little bit in love to more Palace in just a moment. Royal watchers are questioning a decision by the King and having Prince Edward represent the crown for the funeral of former US President Jimmy Carter. It will be only the third time a royal has attended the funeral of a US president. On both occasions it was Charles and attendance when he was Prince of Wales. Charles was there to see Ronald Reagan laid to rest in two thousand and four, and also made the trip over the Atlantic again in twenty eighteen to honor George Bush Senior.

As President elect Donald J. Trump continues to express his interest in acquiring Greenland for the United States. Denmark has responded in a decidedly symbolic manner. The newly proclaimed King Frederic the Tenth has altered the Danish Royal coat of Arms to underscore his Kingdom's commitment to Greenland and the Pharaoh Islands, both sovereign territories under the Danish Realm. The updated Royal coat of Arms, a personal symbol for the king that also serves as a state emblem, has replaced the panel between three crowns once representing the historic Kalmar union between Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, with separate panels for Greenland and the Pharaoh Islands. Greenland is now represented by a prominent polar bear, while the Pharaoh Islands are symbolized by a ram. Previously, Greenland's polar bear was included, but in a much smaller form. A statement from the Danish Royal Household noted the Pharaoh Islands and Greenland have each gotten their own field, which inclin's the Realm's prominence. In the Royal coat of arms. The redesigned emblem made its public debut at a Mallienborg Palace in Copenhagen during the royal family's New Year banquet. Royal historian Lars of Bake Sorenson remarked, it is important to signal from the Danish side that the Greenland and the
