The insiders said it's offensive to Meghan and Harry that anybody would think this is merely a photo opportunity. The insider added, Meghan's heart is completely broken for all the lives that have been lost, for those whose homes have been destroyed in these fires. Meghan was born and raised in Los Angeles, so this is and always will be home to her. In The Independent, Tessa Dunlop writes, there is good reason why Meghan Markle is so bad at being good. Once more, the Sussexes are damned if they do, damned if they don't. Over the weekend, Harry and Meghan joined a host of a listers publicly supporting relief efforts against the horrors of Los Angeles wildfires.

No matter that Megan grew up in Los Angeles and only lives ninety miles away in Santa Barbara. Princess Mirkal was castigated for being no better than an ambulance chaser in a city where she doesn't live. Out This was eye watering stuff from one of Hollywood's own.

1:56 Surely the couple were only trying to help. Tellingly, despite the raft of a list stars rallying to the cause, Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Jennifer Garner, and Charlie Xcxter name but a few. It is the Sussexes who were singled out for condemnation, which begs the question, what is it about Meghan? Harry was a little more than a spare thumb in the footage that proves so triggering. After all, in the midst of this Tinsel talent disaster, let's not pretend the most famous do good is aren't on the hunt for positive pr and image enhancement. The situation for the couple wasn't helped by the rescheduling of the Duchess of Sussex's ominously entitled With Love Meghan series, but even the predictable postponement, which saw Meghan explain that the launch was delayed as we focus on the needs of those impacted by the wildfires in my home state of California, has been met with cynicism. The new date of fourth of March provides a longer leading and potentially more attention for her latest production. Timing is apparently not Meghan's strong point.

2:54 Getting it wrong is her special skill. Christopher Smithers, writing in The Express, the wonderful folks who dedicate their lives to the emergency services deserve nothing less than our unreserved admiration and unconditional respect. If for one moment I believed that the Sussex's motive was genuinely sincere, then I would be unreservedly complimentary and full of admiration. But for these two, their agenda seems to be crystal clear. With the press release from their office and a personal visit, yet again we witness a carefully choreographed display of crass and vulgar virtue signaling yuck. One comment I read of the many echoing the same sentiment, put it this way, can we please have less of these two? If I thought they were doing it from the goodness of their hearts, I would applaud them. But I feel that publicity is always to the forefront of their minds. There are many in the wider Hollywood community who have pitched in and done their bit. God bless them for that, and they have done it without any prior announcement of the impending charity.

Princess Anne herself never attended Gordonston as it was not co educational during her school years, but she sent her children, Peter Phillips and Zara Tyndall there and keeping with family tradition. According to The Times Royal correspondent Kate Nancy, Harry and Andrew have been given a new nickname by palace insiders.
