Andrew’s Royal Funeral Plans Spark Outrage as Sarah Ferguson Eyes Netflix

Questions are being raised about Andrew Mountbatten Windsor's eventual funeral, with a new report claiming that plans drawn up before his dramatic fall from royal life have not yet been changed. The Mail on Sunday reports that Andrew could still be in line for a royal ceremonial funeral, despite the removal of his remaining titles and his status as a private citizen. That claim has prompted criticism from royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, who told gb News the idea he should be offered a royal funeral as clearly preposterous. As he has been stripped of his royal titles, this is an issue where plans have very clearly not been updated. Both Buckingham Palace and the Cabinet Office declined to comment on the reported arrangements, so at this stage this remains a newspaper report about plans that may simply have been left off the books, rather than a final decision about what will actually happen. Royal historian Rafe hidel Man coup suggested there may be little reason for the palace to settle the question anytime soon. Andrew's continued place in the line of succession is creating an unusual constitutional question, with one report suggesting there is even a scenario in which Andrew could effectively leap frog Prince Harry. Despite losing his royal titles, Andrew remains eighth in line to the throne. A palace source told Radar Online Andrew was still there because the law leaves him there because anyone thinks it's a good look. Pulling him out would mean coordinating a legislative fix across the Commonwealth, and that is not a simple palace decision. There is plenty of anger about him staying in the line, but the constitutional machinery is glacial. Unless governments on both sides of the Atlantic want to spend months untangling the same issue, he remains in place by default. A constitutional expert told Radar this is not a case of Parliament making one clinging change and moving on. Each realm that shares the monarch as its own legal responsibilities, and every one of them would need to sign up to the same basic amendment.

Radar sites an unnamed royal source who claims this is exactly the sort of project that could pay very well if it it's made with enough access and enough controversy. Sarah has the story people think they know, but a film will let her contry the tone, and that is what makes the opportunity so valuable. But another unnamed industry figure warned the risk is not the money, it is the fallout. A documentary can bring a big check, but it can also lock in all resentments and make future family contact far harder.

At the moment. That means her daughters, because they are the only ones who can really be counted on to understand what she is going through. It is an emotionally bruising situation, but it is also very practical. Sarah needs somewhere stable to live, some reassurance about money and a plan for what comes next. Without that, the uncertainty just hangs over everything, and that is what is frightening her most or palasing.
