Marcus Ellis was born in Pensacola, Florida at the beginning of the funky 1970s. He never lost the groove and flow of that period and has remained funky to this day. From the moment he came into this world, Marcus has had a Love for music that cannot be compared. At the age of 15, he began to follow his favorite band, Grateful Dead around the U.S. for many years. He fell in Love with the community aspect of the traveling circus known as Dead Heads. The kindness, compassion, and generosity of Dead Heads on the road resonated fully with Marcus due to him being the loving and giving soul that he is. In his 20s, Marcus built Gibson USA electric guitars by day and interned at a Warner Brothers owned a recording studio, The Loft...which means he makes an incredible cup of coffee and is a seasoned veteran of cleaning restrooms. These days Marcus is the lead vocalist of a regionally recognized Rock & Roll Tribute Band, White Tie Rock Ensemble. He is blessed to have the experience of sharing the stage with his stunning wife, Laura who plays violin in the band. He sings on stage, but he is also now speaking on stage as a motivational speaker. Marcus is a Loving father of five children ages 22, 18, 16, 7, and 2 years of age.
