As an executive in a commercial bank, Jason was not thinking of transforming an alternative finance business when he joined Primary Funding Corporation (PFC) as President in 2012. Even though he had led a team of bankers that managed over $150 million in commercial loans and deposits, he wasn’t ready to lead, grow, and transform PFC.
In this conversation, we explore the transition Jason went through from employee to owner, and shifting how he perceived situations opened new possibilities for growth and impact. This change of perspective allowed him to clearly define the future they wanted to create, establish shared values that were important in building a team and organization, and eventually build an executive team that supported and challenged him to grow as the company grew.

Jason shares how aligning and living by shared values builds trust within the organization and with their clients and creates a winning culture, which was critical to the success of PFC.
