We’re Still Having A Baby Together! Bunnie XO Explains Unconventional Divorce From Jelly Roll

We just heard from both Bunnie XO and Jelly Roll about their impending divorce plans, which include remaining best friends, and co-parenting a child they are sill trying to have together. Bunnie XO spoke out on her podcast, with the blessing and encouragement of Jelly Roll to shoot down cheating rumors and to explain how and why the couple is divorcing. Last night on stage, Jelly Roll talked about “his wife” saying it was the one and only time he will ever speak on the topic.

00:00:02
Speaker 1: Hey there, everybody, Welcome to Amy and TJ. It is Friday, June nineteenth, and can you imagine getting publicly divorced from someone and then making the announcement, Hey, guys, guess what, we're still having a baby together. Well that is exactly what we heard from Bunny xo as she opened up about her impending divorce from Jelly Roll, and it was shocking. Did you did that stand out to you as wait, woa did I hear that? Right?

00:00:36
Speaker 2: I'll believe it when I see it. That was a and that maybe where they are right now, who knows what's going to happen and change down the road. But I also give them credit for they have been through an IVF journey if you always use that word. But they they clearly wanted a child and maybe they still do. So this is there was a lot that came out of yes for hour long podcast, and that a couple other things definitely are the headline.

00:01:01
Speaker 1: There are multiple headlines that could come out of Bunny xo. On her podcast dumb Blonde, she wanted to set the record stress of.

00:01:10
Speaker 3: The podcast by yes, thank you for making that distinction because obviously, please, I'm not calling her that as a fellow blonde, I understand the stereotype that we all suffered.

00:01:20
Speaker 1: No, I'm kidding, but no, this wascast she did.

00:01:24
Speaker 4: She chose that. I get that, and look, she was very honest.

00:01:30
Speaker 1: I appreciated her transparency because we found out the hard way, and she didn't let it get to this that when you don't talk about it, when you don't speak about what's going on, people will fill in the blanks and they will make stuff up.

00:01:44
Speaker 4: They will create a complete false narrative.

00:01:46
Speaker 1: And that was beginning to happen because there were rumors of Jelly Roll and infidelity and cheating, and she I do think it was cool. She stepped up and she spoke out to tamp all that down. That was one of her big points of getting on this podcast was to say nobody cheated on anybody.

00:02:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she even said at the top, we didn't plan on being back at work so quickly, but we had to rush back in here to do another podcast ahead of schedule because she wanted to address.

00:02:15
Speaker 5: A bunch of stuff.

00:02:16
Speaker 1: Yeah, and I do think that was cool. So yes, she did acknowledge that she and Jelly Roll are moving forward with their divorce, but she gave, and she gave a lot of details, and I thought, I'm curious we haven't discussed what we thought about her hour long podcast, But I did think that it did show that the two of them still have mutual respect and love and a solid friendship. And that's pretty impressive given the fact that they are literally in the throes of divorce negotiations right now.

00:02:52
Speaker 2: Which she said are going to be done very soon. I guess this is another big headline.

00:02:57
Speaker 5: Rose.

00:02:57
Speaker 2: We just found out about the divorce this week. She said they've been going through this for a month and nobody else knew about this. She's lost fifteen pounds. People are having to come over to her house and making sure she eats. She has been struggling for weeks or months, why, she explains ropes, But we're just finding out about it. So she sounds like she's kind of in a better place.

00:03:14
Speaker 1: She sounded like she was in a much better place, especially as she described what it's been like for her for the past month or so. Because I believe the date of separation that was given in the court papers was May ninth, Mother's Day. We'll get into that. She described basically what happened on Mother's Day. There was a Mother's Day fight which led to their separation, which ultimately ended in their divorce.

00:03:36
Speaker 4: Now, but he filed for divorce.

00:03:39
Speaker 1: A few weeks after that, so yeah, it's been a couple weeks. And she said that she believes their divorce terms will be completely agreed to and buttoned up in two or three weeks.

00:03:48
Speaker 2: She called it the uh, one of the best divorces you'll ever see, this most amicable thing you will ever see. And she didn't even if she's said robes, she wasn't angry.

00:03:57
Speaker 1: Yes, And you know what that is so interesting because she made it very clear she said this divorce was not mutual, even though she did tell him out of anger to go ahead and file the papers, but she said it was not mutual.

00:04:13
Speaker 4: She did not want this.

00:04:14
Speaker 1: She talked about how she was the chaser and he was the runner, how she believes she loved him a little more than he loved her. But it wasn't mean spirited in how she was saying, and it didn't feel like she was throwing him under the bus in any way. It felt like she was just explaining the basically the dynamic in their relationship that ultimately I guess paved the way for its end, at least the romantic side of it.

00:04:39
Speaker 2: She stopped chasing. She categorized the two of them as you were just talking about there. He was always the runner and now was the chaser. And she said she stopped chasing. She said, that is the thing that has happened. And again you're about to get into heroes to fight and how it all went down that moment. I heard some things she described in that fight that I concern relate to even in fights with you. But then as she started explaining that this was a wake up call that maybe got them to the place they should have been a year ago.

00:05:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, But she also said that she she said that she wanted to go to therapy, that she thought their relationship deserved I believe was maybe the word she used, deserved, an opportunity for some outside help, some outside counsel, maybe a way back to each other, maybe some different language. She talked about how they were never good at fighting, that they basically just ended up avoiding fights and then if there was one, it was an explosion and that's how.

00:05:43
Speaker 4: They described it.

00:05:44
Speaker 1: And look, you'll hear from therapists all the time, or marriage counselors who'll say that is the number one challenge for folks who are in a relationship is to learn how to fight. And that is something that none of us usually do well initially, and with any relationship, it's a bit of a dance, and it can end up getting ugly. It can turn into a boxing match if you haven't learned what each other's triggers are and what not to say and how to say it. Maybe even more importantly, but it still is incredible to hear her talk about all of this and then say that they are still best friends and she said, I will always ride with that man, so much so that she is still planning to have a family with that man.

00:06:28
Speaker 5: Again, this is something they've talked about. Robe she.

00:06:32
Speaker 2: Actually, you know what, that's a headline. I didn't know about this. Maybe I haven't read about them enough. But through IVF they've lost was it.

00:06:39
Speaker 4: Three to four eggs, four embryos?

00:06:41
Speaker 5: Ro embrio? Excuse me?

00:06:42
Speaker 4: That's devastating, But that's commitment.

00:06:46
Speaker 2: This is these are two people who were desperate and we're trying to have a child together. Did that go away? Does she still want it with him? They found partners that they thought would be good parents and all these things. None of that sounds mean spirited now, but it is a jaw dropping that you end right, People end relationships and then you fight over the kids. Who gets the kids? People getting divorce and deciding we want to create a kid.

00:07:12
Speaker 1: I've never heard of that before in my life. I think this might be the first. And for me that was the biggest headline because I was just trying to imagine how that works. And it might seem amicable now, and I do. Well can get into what she said about jelly Roll dating and all of this stuff, but it all sounds fine now. But what happens when Bunny XO finds her guy? What happens when jelly Roll finds his gal. I hope they like who the other person picked, because that's when I think the true test might take place. It's easy, I think, maybe to say all those things in a vacuum where you haven't been challenged, where jealousy hasn't come into play, where you don't feel anger or frustration or regret. Like all of those things are a part of divorce. It's just a part of the healing process. So I don't know, it's just it's fascinating and frankly, I'm going to use the word shocking. It was shocking to me that she talked about how they are still continuing to pursue their IVF journey.

00:08:14
Speaker 2: Maybe their minds will change. Maybe, But again, Robes, this is something maybe they now that they've calmed down, it's been going on for a month. Maybe this is a decision they made after they sloped down. I don't know how this is, but good for them and good on them, and I again rodes every time I even love Island. I say their relationship lessons to learn here is one. I don't know, Robes. They're unconventional from the beginning.

00:08:39
Speaker 4: Yes, you learned a lot about that.

00:08:41
Speaker 5: I didn't know some of this stuff. Robes.

00:08:43
Speaker 2: That is an unconventional relationship and friendship and frankly, a respect that I don't think most of us could be capable of.

00:08:51
Speaker 1: No, and she she he, And we're going to get into because he spoke on this to last night, and he's spoken about Bunny x so plenty of times.

00:08:58
Speaker 4: But they have both said publicly.

00:09:00
Speaker 1: She reiterated it on this podcast that they literally and figuratively saved each other's lives, but she described she is or was, excuse me, a high end escort in Vegas that is legal there. And she talks about having clients while he was trying to get attention and pursue his love of music. She said, sometimes he would be performing with twenty people at the bar and that was it. And she was out meeting clients, having sex with other men to pay the bills, and that was they were in a romantic relationship, they were married, and she was having sex with other men to pay the bills. So, yes, this is an unconventional relationship.

00:09:44
Speaker 2: I mean, that's I look at that and just don't know if I could do something like that.

00:09:49
Speaker 4: I know you couldn't and I know I couldn't.

00:09:51
Speaker 5: But I here's why I stopped it.

00:09:55
Speaker 2: There is also when you there's a bunch of stuff I didn't want to do until I end up in a relationship with you. It was a bunch of stuff you didn't think you were capable of or wanted to do in a relationship until you find the person that is true. I wonder maybe he would have said, prior to this, there is no way in hell I would ever be able to but robes that something about that someone might listen to it to hear and go, oh, I can't believe that, or it wasn't really real, it was some bullet, or make a judgment of them. I'm making a declaration that I would love to hear more about not the situation, Robes, but about the love and the friendship and how you overcome and get past something like that. Robes that think to have the knowledge, Okay, honey, have a good night at work, I'll see you when you get back. You're sending your wife out to have sex with another man. That money is gonna come back and help us keep the lights on. It's gonna help me in my career, and we're gonna make it later, baby, Robes. There's something I'm missing about the relationship that I think is a positive and not a negative. I'm missing something about the dynamic and the friendship and the love that I think. I don't know I'm crazy, but I find something unique and beautiful to be able to overcome that, and that beauty continues when you're telling me now, I don't want to be with you, but I want to be a parent with you.

00:11:24
Speaker 5: Who the hell says that?

00:11:25
Speaker 1: Right? And she literally said her quote was we are going to co parent together. Oh, Jay is my best friend. Like, this isn't what you guys think it is. Nobody cheated on the other person. It literally just was we served our purpose for each other.

00:11:42
Speaker 4: I thought that was an interesting phrase.

00:11:43
Speaker 2: That is a phrase that we are going to do a full episode on later because of our parts. As much as I am a fan of the love and the friendship, there's a part of me that was devastated to hear that line.

00:11:55
Speaker 1: I agree that we can. Yes, let's save that for another episode, but just let that marinate. Think about that phrase, and we will, yes, look for that over the weekend because we have I actually think we were talking.

00:12:09
Speaker 4: There was so much in this podcast. There are probably ten episodes relationship episodes we could do based on what she said about their divorce. I thought it was interesting too when she talked about this Mother's Day fight and she said, you know, look, I was angry and I said, well file the effing divorce papers, and she said he was. She packed her bags.

00:12:27
Speaker 1: They didn't speak for weeks, and she said he was so mad and we were so emotional that he ended up doing exactly what I told him to do and filed the divorce papers, and that's when she said it wasn't mutual.

00:12:39
Speaker 5: That'll be our next episode this weekend. That other thing there.

00:12:42
Speaker 2: How you fight, how you fight, don't threaten to walk out, don't threaten you don't ever throw the D word out there. They always say, bro, that's fighting ugly. Ugly, and it's dirty, and it's emotional. It's angry. She said something she didn't want to say, And we do that all the time and fights.

00:12:58
Speaker 5: Anybody who's fought you.

00:12:59
Speaker 1: Go absolutely so someone calls you on your bluff and it's he did. And now she's saying that it took her this month and a half to come to terms with the fact that this is that ending this marriage on the best possible terms, she said was the right way forward, and she's starting to get her sparkle back, just now starting to get her sparkle back.

00:13:23
Speaker 4: But she said, look, they were both on hormones.

00:13:25
Speaker 1: I thought that was interesting because we know about women being on hormones trying to produce eggs for IVF, but he actually had to get on hormones as well, and she said that made him behave differently as well.

00:13:38
Speaker 2: I don't know if they put that out there but she was on the podcast. Yeah low sperm count, she.

00:13:42
Speaker 4: Did, and you said it.

00:13:44
Speaker 1: I was like, but she said it, she said it, and she said I think she said, Jay's going to kill me for this, but then she went ahead and said it, and she said, I didn't realize this that they had been on this fertility journey since October of twenty nineteen. That's seven well almost seven years of trying to have a baby and having just devastation after devastation with not having it ever actually come to fruition.

00:14:07
Speaker 2: Those are two peoples in twenty nineteen nineteen. Bro, Those are two people who have for a long time wanted to see what a little jelly and bunny look like. Yeah, right, and that gets in you. You and I have had these conversations and they have been difficult, but you get to a point and we've had them. Wow, we wish we could. We wish we could at this point have a child together. We're in a good place, or we got we can provide for a child. We're in a good place with our health. We in a good place with our relationship. We're the best mentally and physically healthy we've ever been in our adult lives. We are ready to produce the best kid ever and we can't.

00:14:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm fifty three and a breast cancer survivor. That's ain't gonna happen.

00:14:50
Speaker 2: But I'm saying that I can get that's things it does to where they were set for a long time.

00:14:55
Speaker 5: Man, I want this baby with this lady. I wanted with this guy.

00:15:00
Speaker 2: Maybe I try to understand a little, but I want a divorce, but I want us to have kids and I.

00:15:06
Speaker 1: Want us to be best friends till the end. Look, there is something beautiful and something curious about it all. So look, as we mentioned, we're gonna have a lot more to say about this in some coming episodes, but when we come back on this episode, we're gonna tell you what Jelly Roll had to say on stage this happened last night about the divorce, and he told everyone in the audience break out your camera phones now because this is the only time I'm going to speak about this. Welcome back everyone to this episode of Amy and TJ, where Wow, we are going through Bunny Xo's latest podcast where she opened up about her divorce with Jelly Roll, how it happened, why it happened, and what comes next and that includes having a baby. So what does Jelly Roll have to say about all of this, Well, he was on stage and Sarahtoga Springs New York last night on tour, and I guess, I don't know.

00:16:09
Speaker 4: Does he have a song about liars that I don't know about? Are lying?

00:16:13
Speaker 1: You must have had some song that had that as a theme, because he comes out on the.

00:16:17
Speaker 5: Baby I'm a liar.

00:16:18
Speaker 4: Yeah, I was like, wait, what am I missing?

00:16:21
Speaker 1: Yes, I figured you would know it I'm a liar, So he obviously must have just sung that song. And he says, I wasn't going to talk about this tonight, but while we're talking about liars, the internet is a liar too. This is the only time and the only city I'm going to speak about this, So break your camera phones out now. Me and my wife are best friends. We will always be best friends. We just got off the phone earlier today. Nobody cheated on Nobody. She just did a whole podcast about it. You can go watch it. Every word of it is the truth that will be my best friend forever. This is the only time I will ever speak about it.

00:16:57
Speaker 4: Bunny.

00:16:58
Speaker 1: I love you, baby, Thank you for those ten years they were incredible. Thank you for the next ten years of friendship and twenty beyond that. With that being said, cheers everybody. He said, my wife. She kept saying my husband. Later she said she was trying to practice not saying husband.

00:17:16
Speaker 2: From the time, I haven't heard her. She kept calling them jay Jay Jay, Now my husband. She went back and forth a little. But yeah, she says, she's trying to get out of that habit, that routine. Look, I give him credit, and I actually really appreciate how he did that. Everybody, gets your cameras out now, don't want anybody to miss this. Yeah, get prepped. I thought that was pretty I have a statement to make. Get your recorders. Ah, that was well done. Bro's she's, I think, well, I can't remember what the timing was. But at some point during the podcast, she pulls out her phone because he had just sent her a voice memo, and she plays it and he opens up and the voice memo but that he doesn't know is going to be aired, calls a mama bear.

00:17:52
Speaker 5: Right, these don't sound like two people that hate each other.

00:17:54
Speaker 2: That obviously they fight and nasty fights, but these don't sound like two people who got a bitter sweetheart, could you form.

00:18:02
Speaker 5: The lips from anybody you broke up with? So yeah, at Papa bear Man, my love.

00:18:09
Speaker 1: Yes, I think everyone listening knows that you and I have both gone through two divorces, and yes, the idea of giving a pet name to an ex husband that you are in the midst of divorcing after a pretty horrific fight, probably at the fight to probably beat all fights and call that person by their pet name. Nah, that is not even in my realm of possibilities.

00:18:34
Speaker 4: So I think it's beautiful.

00:18:35
Speaker 2: Some might tell you what you think about the idea that this is just celebrity pr and they're putting on.

00:18:41
Speaker 4: It didn't seem like that to me, and they have never seen like those people. No, I don't. I didn't seem or feel like that at all. I do think that maybe.

00:18:48
Speaker 1: Look, I think what I have learned, and I believe you have to and anyone who's had multiple relationships and certainly divorces, you can understand that every relationship you're in is so different than the other. And we don't know the dynamics, We don't know what their relationship is based on. Is it based in friendship, is it based on respect? Is it less about the sex and more about the connection. There could be a lot of different There are a lot of different types of relationships, and I don't want to place any different value and just because maybe they're not hot for each other in a way that would make them incapable of allowing or seeing someone else dating someone. She mentioned he's already dating other people, and she was actually putting out a call out, hey, slide into his DM.

00:19:29
Speaker 5: I thought that was too much.

00:19:31
Speaker 2: That's what I wanted, playing to back off a little bit, she said. She made comments about him sticking it in of the she was a little I think again, her podcast a little raunchy, so that's not a surprise, but going out of her way to say take your shot at this guy, and that he's already dating and it was a little well, it's.

00:19:50
Speaker 1: Strange to have in one breath a month ago saying you didn't want the divorce, that it wasn't mutual, and then a month later being able to say, hey, ladies, your guy is waiting for you. Understand how mental you get from that place to the place she's in right now in a period of a few weeks. But apparently she has kay she could have been asking something, or she could just be her personality.

00:20:09
Speaker 2: But I thought it was a little weird. It's fine, I get it. But again this goes to they are not conventional at all. But you just was a wordy value on relationship. Yes, that's a really good way to put we the relationships are supposed to look a certain way. You meet, maybe in college, you're right after as young people, you go get the house, you have the kids. Everything is supposed to be a certain way and look a certain way, and.

00:20:34
Speaker 1: You fight, you stop having sex, and then you just are bitter, sleeping in different rooms, barely speaking to one another. That is oftentimes what people will call a successful marriage.

00:20:43
Speaker 2: Because you stay together, you're still together, and you're still putting on out there robes. Can a successful marriage be one that built an absolute international superstar who was a convict, who's got tattoos in his face, who is overweight, they built an empire together? Is it not a successful relationship that these two found each other and put each other on a better path. That is a successful marriage. It just happens the end after ten years. I just love these conversations and examples of non traditional relationships.

00:21:18
Speaker 5: They are just I don't know.

00:21:19
Speaker 2: I don't know what was behind the scenes, but what's being put out of publicly robes and what we know of them.

00:21:24
Speaker 5: I just I admire so much of what they have done.

00:21:28
Speaker 1: I agree, and look, we will have a lot more to say about not only their relationship, but what the next phase of their relationship is. It certainly will be very interesting to watch, and maybe there will be a lot to learn from these two. But without everyone, we always appreciate you listening to us. I'm Amy Robot alongside TJ.

00:21:47
Speaker 4: Holmes. We will talk to you soon.
