But Lord, have mercy Robes. What we saw yesterday, What a day in court for a case. Robes has been making headlines that's been heated, it remains heated. But Carmelo Anthony did learn his fate yesterday, Robes, not just the verdict but also his sentencing, and he knew all this in a matter of hours.

But a federal judge, Robes, is just real that the method of execution is unconstitutional.

Speaker 1: We could see this one coming because a federal appeals court ruled it intolerable and cruel. And so yes, now a judge has said it is not constitutional to execute someone by that method. And so yes, we have Jeffrey Lee, who brought up the appeal in the first place. He's supposed to die by nitrogen gas execution tomorrow night, Thursday night. He was convicted for a nineteen ninety eight double murder, and his lawyers have been challenging this execution method, claiming, yes, it causes pain and suffering.

Speaker 3: But the state of Alabama right now, that's their favorite way to go, that's their preferred method. They've used it all of last year. But a judge ruled yesterday that the method violates the Eighth Amendment protection against Cruel and Unusual punishment. The judge's decision keeps the state from using nitrogen gas in any execution moving forward, not just lees, but any execution but robes. Now what, it's still on the books, the execution for tomorrow. But you can't use nitrogen gas.

The US launched retaliatory strikes against Iranian targets last night in response, so the Iranian shooting down of a US helicopter near the strait of our moves and that road. After we heard about that, the President was promising that that action needed a response.

Speaker 1: That's right, and the US has said that the strikes were a proportional response to the downing of the US helicopter. Iran then responded by targeting US assets in the region. So where does this all leave the ceasefire and all the peace talks.

That means they shot nearly well, no, twenty one people.

No motive is given, but the speculation in just the area is known. They say there are mining gangs that they are. And so yes, we have Jeffrey Lee, who brought up the appeal in the first place. He's supposed to die by nitrogen gas execution tomorrow night, Thursday night. He was convicted for a nineteen ninety eight double murder, and his lawyers have been challenging this execution method, claiming, yes, it causes pain and suffering.

Speaker 3: But the state of Alabama right now, that's their favorite way to go, that's their preferred method. They've used it all of last year. But a judge ruled yesterday that the method violates the Eighth Amendment protection against Cruel and Unusual punishment. The judge's decision keeps the state from using nitrogen gas in any execution moving forward, not just lees, but any execution but robes. Now what, it's still on the books, the execution for tomorrow. But you can't use nitrogen gas.
