So it's hard to imagine if he's there on the front lawn bleeding out that nobody saw something, nobody heard something. It was around nine thirty in the morning, so that's an active time of day when people are getting ready going out to their vehicles heading to work, So you would imagine there would be more information coming out about how this all took place and who saw what when, who saw what.

And look, this didn't happen overnight. It actually happened on Wednesday. But we're just now hearing about actor James Handy, eighty one years old, stabbed to death in his own front yard by the son of his girlfriend who was living with him. And the reason why perhaps we're just now getting word of this. Yes, there was a report of a homicide outside in an LA suburb, but it wasn't known necessarily that it was actor James Handy, so it was initially put out there as a just a regular I should I hate to say it, but just a regular old crime story. And what started to make headlines was this eerie nine to one one call that kind of jumped out at folks, and it took people a second to piece together that this was actually somebody who we all knew, somebody who we all have loved watching for the past fifty years or so.

Speaker 2: That is where your head initially goes, unfortunately, straight to that. And look, we haven't heard yet from his girlfriend. I mean, at this point, think about this. She's just lost her boyfriend. The man will presume she loves who she's chosen to live with, and now she's effectively lost her son, who is going to prison, it seems, for the rest of his life. So now I just can't imagine in one moment, I don't know.

Speaker 2: Think that now she's alone, She's just lost the two men in her life that she loved more than anything. So that's just a horrific situation. But we haven't heard from her. We haven't. I don't know much about Handy. There's not a lot out there about him. He was private, He had his career, but he kept things bifurcated. So we don't know if his family, if he has any relatives who have spoken out yet they haven't as of now. There are just so many questions and it's all just coming to light now. But we did hear directly from Handy's agent, and she's the one who made the announcement that yes, in fact, the person who was killed there on his front lawn was the beloved actor James Handy. And she says, I could not have asked for a more talented, humble, or gracious client and friend than James Handy. And you know, I do think it's tough because that nine one one call would imply that maybe he did something to deserve his death. I just killed the man of sin, and so I think it is important to hear from his agent and to hear from other people who were speaking out who worked with him, who said he was a kind man, he was wonderful to work with, he was a talented actor, he was a professional, you know, throughout everything he did, and he was loved by, it seems everyone who worked alongside him. And I think that's important because who knows what this nine mo when one call was referencing, if anything at all.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm curious to hear more about this, and we'll, I'm sure will be overwhelmed through the weekend with tributes to him, because you work that long in Hollywood, you know everybody. And again, his last project was with one of the biggest stars Hollywood we'll ever know, that was with Tom Cruise, Right, So a lot of people have worked alongside this guy. Are who are going to be touched by this no matter how even if his name is not always on the marquee, not in the starring line, this guy had an impact on Hollywood and just about.
