Speaker 1: Oh I didn't play that. I didn't put that together. I'm saying we didn't watch last night. The reason we did it is because that was a next game. We were preoccupied. Everybody here in New York was preoccupied. This was all it was about yesterday was this. It was not about Love Island last night. Sorry, not even at halftime. We had to focus and the focus still didn't work. What a night here in New York. Yes, it all went down. We're certainly gonna be starting with that. Yes, and we call ourselves the center of the universe here in New York. But it really did feel like all eyes were on the city and in particular one arena last night. So it was cool.

Speaker 2: Yes, the much anticipated Game three of the NBA Finals was ultimately a big old let down for US New Yorkers. The Knicks lost to the San Antonio Spurs one fifteen to one eleven in front of a raucous and star studded crowd, Yes in Madison Square Garden.

Speaker 1: The night delivered, the game delivered. It was a wonderful game for everybody but Knicks fans. Right, if you're just a casual observer, this was a wonderful basketball game and environment to even experience, even if you were in your living room. But yes, the big guy wimby the French. The Frenchman Victor Rembayama had thirty two points and he did Rose. He didn't have the greatest game, had a big mistake in Game two at the end there, and he came out from the very beginning and you could tell this dude was ready to make up for that mistake. This was a fun, fun game to watch from beginning to end. None of us as late as it was and long a day as it was. And then we still got Sabine back there sleeping because she would normally be up by now, but she was up late on a school night. I mean, Rose, this was everything yesterday. Yes, disappoint but it ain't over.

They had some stuff pent up, and you throw in the twenty seven years of frustration with the Knicks robes. That was a lot pent up, was it not. Yeah?

People are enjoying it. They're cheering at some moments because they see the flag or something that they show on the big screen. So you hear some of that at the beginning of the sound I'm about to play you. And then it is unmistakable when they show the president on the jumbo tron. Take a listen to this, and then those singing continues, so you get tell when his face came off the jumbo trump because it got quiet again and the guy kept singing. Now, the president was doing a salute at the time this was going on. What did you think of the moment?

But next up on the Run, we're gonna head overseas to a US helicopter that went down near the street of Poor Moves. And according to President Trump, the pilots were rescued and they are fine.

We were all like looking like, wait, why aren't they calling it? Surely he's gonna win this thing, and no, this all made sense. So now Ramen is going to face income at Karen Bass in November. This is one now that the DOJ says they have opened. Are the investigations not monitors, but they say they are looking into some irregularities. They're questioning whether or not it's a legit election in California.

He was briefly detained by police after her disappearance, but was released for lack of evidence, and he has always maintained his innocence. They say, the ropes. Speaker 2: Closing arguments already scheduled for this morning in the murder trial of Carmelo Anthony. That's the Texas teen who stabbed another seventeen year old during a confrontation at a track meet last year.

Speaker 1: Yeah, the defense rested its case yesterday after calling only about five or so witnesses. Carmelo did not testify in his own defense. The jury's expected to get their instructions and begin deliberating after closing arguments today. Big deal, he robes. They are not going home until they get a decision.

Speaker 2: Yes, he The judge has already told the jurors that they are being sequestered until they come up with their decisions. So apparently they're coming to court today with bags in hand, all right. Next up on the run, a federal appeals court has ruled that Alabama's new nitrogen gas execution method could inflict a cruel amount of pain and suffering. This ruling comes after death row inmate Jeffrey Lee, who was set to die by nitrogen gas on Thursday, filed an appeal.

Speaker 1: Now, this is an interesting story because this is somewhat of a win for his side, but this does not mean he's getting a stay of execution. What this ruling now says it sent Lee's case back to a district court where a judge will decide whether Lee can die by firing squad instead of nitrogen. The nitrogen gas essentially saying, Okay, that's a problem, let's just shoot you.

But Alabama has already executed six inmates this way since it started this process in twenty twenty four.

So they start calling the dispatcher and like, oh, yep, we'll be there soon, no worries, like letting them believe.

The jury's expected to get their instructions and begin deliberating after closing arguments today. Big deal, he robes. They are not going home until they get a decision.

So apparently they're coming to court today with bags in hand, all right. Next up on the run, a federal appeals court has ruled that Alabama's new nitrogen gas execution method could inflict a cruel amount of pain and suffering. This ruling comes after death row inmate Jeffrey Lee, who was set to die by nitrogen gas on Thursday, filed an appeal.

Speaker 1: Now, this is an interesting story because this is somewhat of a win for his side, but this does not mean he's getting a stay of execution. What this ruling now says it sent Lee's case back to a district court where a judge will decide whether Lee can die by firing squad instead of nitrogen. The nitrogen gas essentially saying, Okay, that's a problem, let's just shoot you.

But Alabama has already executed six inmates this way since it started this process in twenty twenty four.

So they start calling the dispatcher and like, oh, yep, we'll be there soon, no worries, like letting them believe.
