Making a bunch of stops as always, today we're going to head to Michigan or On, Mississippi, Texas, La, the Gas pomp, Madison, Wisconsin, and life outside the Villa in Fiji. But we do need to start with the storm which is going to be a problem for a little while road. Tropical torm Bertha.

Speaker 1: That's right. It made landfall mid afternoon near Biloxi, Mississippi, Yon Wednesday yesterday. But the storm is not over yet. Here's the good news. It is not expected to strengthen beyond the forty five mile per hour whins it's carrying, but it is forecast to hug the coast of Louisiana and Texas for the remainder of the day today, and that's going to bring heavy rain and possible flash flooding.

Speaker 2: I did get a little faster, going about twelve miles an hour now. Storm serg up to three feets forecast from Alabama, Florida, Texas. Bertha expected to pass over the Gulf once more this afternoon, than move inland over Texas tonight before finally finally breaking up. Is our second name storm of the twenty twenty six season. But it is going to be causing fits for the next several days.

Speaker 1: All right. Next up on the run, the cyclospora outbreak is expanding. The CDC says there are now eleven thousand, five hundred suspected and confirmed cases in forty one states.

Speaker 2: And you'll remember Taylor Farms, which has been the focus lately of the investigation, has voluntarily recalled iceberg lettuce from its Mexico farm that health officials believe that farm is the source of the outbreak. Meanwhile, Michigan is still reporting another stark increase in cases. They now have more than seventy one hundred people who've been sickened in one hundred and two hospitalizations.

Speaker 1: All right, Next up on the run, it's another day, and with it came another ominous threat from President Trump. This time he is threatening to take out bridges and power plants in Iran. He wrote, from this point forward, anytime the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by missile, rocket, drone, or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant, including those located next to or in the capital city of Tehran.

Speaker 2: I mean, while the US carried out a twelfth straight night of air strikes against Iran, and with that backdrop, with the sea spire seemingly completely over, and we're back at all on war, we are seeing oil and gas prices go up, and sometimes in a big way. Oil hit ninety seven dollars a barrel. It hasn't been that high in nearly two months. Gas now well situated once again above the four dollars a gallon mark.

Speaker 1: Next up on the run. Autopsy results for Nolan Wells were released yesterday, and guess what, we still don't know how he died. This was an independent autopsy that was commissioned by the family, and it listed Nolan's cause and manner of death as undetermined.

Speaker 2: They showed no bruising also and no broken bones, also no trauma to his body. The only thing of note was an unexplained discoloration as they put it, on the back of his head. The toopsy did note its limitations, though most of his vile organs were not part of this autopsy because they were retained as part of the official medical examiner's autopsy. We're still waiting on those results, but it's not uncommon for them to keep the organs for further testing.

Speaker 1: And a reminder, of course, eighteen year old Nolan Wells was found dead under very mysterious circumstances after he hung out with friends on the fourth of July weekend partying on that island off the coast of Mississippi. And again we are waiting to hear what those official autopsy reports are in the meantime. Next up on the Run, a deadly police shooting in Wisconsin has sparked protests. The man reportedly pulled a knife on police who had been called to the scene for a report of a man who was looking inside cars.

Speaker 2: Now there was a struggle with police and after attempting to use a stun gun, one officer fired, killing the suspect. That officer was also injured by the suspect, who's only described as a thirty year old man. They have not identified him as of this recording. There is video out there that's gone a bit viral. Is everywhere online. But this show is a very difficult situation with four officers tackling a man and who is on the ground when he is shot? All right?

Speaker 1: Next up on the Run, It was day two in Singer's David's preliminary hearing to determine whether there is enough evidence to go to trial for the murder and dismemberment of fourteen year old Celeste Revas Hernandez. On Wednesday, prosecutors focused on the forensic evidence they collected from David's home and his vehicle. We had two different criminalists testify from the LAPD. One testified about the bloodstains on rubber mats on the floor of David's garage that yes matched Celeste's DNA.

Speaker 2: She also testified about slits and the mats most likely from a sharp object. Another detective testify that she found fewer and smaller but similar bloodstains in David's tesla. She also told the court is tesla had at least eleven air fresheners and it tucked in rear seat pockets, also in the center console. We'll stay here when we come back on this Thursday morning run. There is already another odyssey in the works. The new one is not even a week out at theater. We'll explain. Also, Love Island just wrapped up, but we got some pretty big news from last year's Love Island. A couple of love birds are no more. All Right, we continue here on this Thursday morning run. And another Odyssey film, the current one just got to theater. It's doing gangbusters at theaters. But another one is already being produced, and it's going to be produced by AI Elon Musk says his AI chat bot Grock will create its own version of the Odyssey. Why would anybody do this?

So he is probably the outlier in just about every other film critic who has said quite the opposite. Here's what Musk wrote before this year ends. Groc Imagine will make a full length movie of the Odyssey that is historically accurate and true to the art of Homer. Musk was critical of the movie well before it was released this past weekend, and he had specific, or at least he took specific issues with the casting. Did he specifically call it woke casting?

Just about every single entertainment outlet is reporting that Olandria Karthin and Nick van Steinberg have broken up a little more than a year after coming in second place on last summer's Love Island.

They've been bounced around, making a lot of appearances together, but those they didn't make together. I guess kind of people took note. We don't have official word from them yet, but again, several outlets are reporting this from even separate sources and independent of each other, that these two have called it quits.

But look, these are two people who have spoken a lot about the mounting pressure regarding their relationship, calling it mentally draining, just all of the public scrutiny. Look, a lot of these folks who go onto these shows, they're young, they haven't been in the spotlight. It looks enticing and intoxicating until it actually is on them, and then they have discussed how difficult it was to actually have private time, to have solo time. So, look, we don't know exactly what happened. Maybe they'll talk about it, but if you look at their previous statements, they might not say a word about what happened because they have talked very much about the importance of having a private romantic life. And it was a long distance relationship. He was in Florida, she was in Texas. Those are hard enough. Now add all of the public scrutiny on top of it. That's a difficult relationship to maintain at an early age.
