Reiner Murders: Accused Son Uttered Three Words At First Court Appearance

While his attorney asked reporters not to jump to conclusions, Nick’s siblings, Jake and Romy Reiner released a powerful statement also asking that speculation “be tempered with compassion and humanity”

We know that this even appearance was pushed back. It was supposed to be yesterday. So there are a lot of questions about exactly what's going on, and his lawyer is trying to maybe allude to some complexities in this case.

But he was asked about this medical issue that we heard about that prevented Nick Reiner from appearing yesterday in court, which we were initially expecting.

And then he went on to say, we asked that during this process you meaning the media, who was asking you allow the system to move forward in the way that it was designed to move forward, not with jumping to conclusions, but with restraint and with dignity and with the respect that this system and this process deserves and that the family deserves.

A lot has to be going on for the level of violence that we heard to be directed at the parents, at his parents, So something was not just not right. This is beyond just a little rift between two people. I can't wait to hear not just the defense, but we are all desperate right now to understand this.

But they said that his mother was telling people and friends that she's becoming increasingly worried about her son's mental health. So in the last few weeks, but he was living in their guest house on their property. So you say, yes, violence directed towards your parents, but also the people who have taken you in and supported you and tried to help you get better. You might not have liked their tactics, you might not have liked how they did it, but they were doing it out of love and he had to have known that.

And there are some people out there. You think, wow, this is a monstrous person who have done this or done that. But there's always some story or some understanding. It's just you start to see a picture that's painted. We also, where's that front we he from court today? They released some of the surveillance video of him in that convenience store before he was arrested, totally calm, buying a beverage to drink, standing in line patiently. The cashier said he did not look like someone who was nervous or agitated or anxious, or that anything was different from any other customer.

All of that is just so eerie to think that you could be that calm, that you could check into a hotel, that you could just do all of those seemingly normal things after you just committed what would be probably one of the most atrocious, horrific things you could ever imagine.

Correct, we were talking royalty. Everybody he knows has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Way to put Oscar. It's absurd the people he surrounded himself with. And what a freaking this coincidence that the Obamas were supposed to be see them on the very night they were killed.

As we start to read what these incredible friends of Rob Reiner had to say about this beloved director. They said, there is no other director who has his range from comedy to drama, to mockumentary to documentary. He was always at the top of his game. He charmed audiences. They trusted him. They lined up to see his films. That's all true, they said. His comedic touch was beyond compare. His love of getting the music of the dialogue just right, and his sharpening of the edge of a drama was simply elegant. For the actors, he loved them. For the writers, he made them better. His greatest gift was freedom. If you had an idea, he listened. He brought you into the process. They always felt they were working as a team. To be in his hands as a filmmaker was a privilege. But that is only part of his legacy. Rob was also a passionate, brave citizen who not only cared for this country he loved. He did everything he could to make it better. And with his loving wife, Michelle, he had the perfect partner. Strong and determined. Michelle and Rob Reiner devoted a great deal of their lives for the betterment of our fellow citizens. Correct, we were talking royalty. Everybody he knows has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Way to put Oscar. It's absurd the people he surrounded himself with. And what a freaking this coincidence that the Obamas were supposed to be see them on the very night they were killed.

As we start to read what these incredible friends of Rob Reiner had to say about this beloved director. They said, there is no other director who has his range from comedy to drama, to mockumentary to documentary. He was always at the top of his game. He charmed audiences. They trusted him. They lined up to see his films. That's all true, they said. His comedic touch was beyond compare. His love of getting the music of the dialogue just right, and his sharpening of the edge of a drama was simply elegant. For the actors, he loved them. For the writers, he made them better. His greatest gift was freedom. If you had an idea, he listened. He brought you into the process. They always felt they were working as a team. To be in his hands as a filmmaker was a privilege. But that is only part of his legacy. Rob was also a passionate, brave citizen who not only cared for this country he loved. He did everything he could to make it better. And with his loving wife, Michelle, he had the perfect partner. Strong and determined. Michelle and Rob Reiner devoted a great deal of their lives for the betterment of our fellow citizens.
