Reality TV snark, a bat in the mouth, is the Harry Potter series worth a watch?

Listen if you want to…

The Valley cast shake up that we are actually ok with.

Why we are bothered by The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives.

Shannon and Tamr’s fight is making us laugh, and sneeze.

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

00:00:04
Speaker 1: We are back for round two of listen if you want to there is so much to listen to you're getting another episode.

00:00:12
Speaker 2: Yeah guess what so much to listen to wait right out the gate i need to know what happened with tamra and shannon fighting and then some sort of sneezing that i saw the headline and i was like You.

00:00:24
Speaker 3: Have to watch it. It's just exactly what you said.

00:00:26
Speaker 2: Are they in a fight and then somebody is sneezing, sneezing, sneezing? Shannon sneezes and sneezes and sneezes. And so then does Tamara just start laughing at her?

00:00:35
Speaker 4: They all do. They all kind of laugh at her and she has to get up from the table. Yeah, they're just talking and fighting about like, Tamara wasn't best friends with her the past two years, but Tamara says, I've been friends with you for 10 years.

00:00:48
Speaker 1: The same scene that they have every season. The one thing I will say, I.

00:00:53
Speaker 3: Really enjoy Tamara this season.

00:00:56
Speaker 2: Me too. I enjoy Tamara every day. She is chill.

00:01:00
Speaker 1: She is in control and she is not taking BS from nobody, but in a way that is productive. Usually she, she's, she never takes BS, but she will go off the handle.

00:01:13
Speaker 3: Right now she's like, I don't have the energy for this.

00:01:16
Speaker 2: Could be menopause.

00:01:17
Speaker 3: That's how I am.

00:01:18
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:01:19
Speaker 3: Oh, And that's worse.

00:01:20
Speaker 1: It's like to be on the receiving side of that, you know, like.

00:01:23
Speaker 2: You're just like, okay, people often say to me now, how do you stay so calm? And I say, I think it's some kind of menopause. So then I see this and Danny are leaving the Valley. Who's Nia and who's Danny.

00:01:40
Speaker 3: You said it right there. No one cares.

00:01:41
Speaker 2: So they are, but Will there be anything for them to talk about? You know what?

00:01:48
Speaker 3: I don't care. I'd rather them have nothing to talk about.

00:01:51
Speaker 2: Who are they?

00:01:52
Speaker 3: Than to have Danny and Nia to talk about.

00:01:53
Speaker 2: The ones who have always been in trouble. They're a married couple.

00:01:56
Speaker 4: And Danny has some habits of drinking that is just disrespectful.

00:02:01
Speaker 2: Where did we even find them? Like how they get on the show?

00:02:03
Speaker 3: Nia used to be... Miss... Miss.

00:02:07
Speaker 2: I wish you guys could have seen Jackie right there. She's doing some sort of crazy hand motions.

00:02:14
Speaker 3: Are you sure she was Miss USA? One of those.

00:02:15
Speaker 1: Or was she only like Miss California?

00:02:18
Speaker 2: Let me see.

00:02:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, check.

00:02:20
Speaker 2: Who cares? So they didn't have any connection to people on the show. They weren't on Vanderpump or any of that.

00:02:25
Speaker 1: No, hold on. The thing with the Valley is that they're all real friends.

00:02:28
Speaker 3: That is the one thing.

00:02:29
Speaker 2: So who were they friends with?

00:02:30
Speaker 3: They were friends with Brittany Cart, right? And Brittany was the main one. And Kristen Doty.

00:02:38
Speaker 2: Do you like the Valley?

00:02:41
Speaker 3: I liked it. Season one and two were really good. Season three was really annoying.

00:02:46
Speaker 2: How did we get to season three already? What was Lala on? Season three. She was on season two?

00:02:53
Speaker 1: Danny and Nia rubbed me the wrong way. And I'll tell you exactly why they rubbed me the wrong way. They wanted to be on reality TV, but not be real. Which, look, I understand that. You never want to show your flaws. You never want to like put your family out there in a negative light. I get that. But then don't be on reality TV.

00:03:17
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:03:18
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:03:19
Speaker 2: Right. Agree.

00:03:20
Speaker 3: Agree with that.

00:03:21
Speaker 1: Agree. There were so many times where she was like, Danny, Danny, let's go.

00:03:27
Speaker 2: Danny. Danny, Danny, Danny.

00:03:28
Speaker 3: I think that a lot.

00:03:29
Speaker 2: When I'm like, why are you on TV?

00:03:32
Speaker 3: Daniel, stop. Daniel, stop.

00:03:35
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.

00:03:35
Speaker 1: We're leaving Daniel.

00:03:37
Speaker 3: I can't.

00:03:38
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:03:38
Speaker 3: Amy, I literally would scream at the TV.

00:03:41
Speaker 1: Okay. My husband watches reality TV with me. Anytime I put it on and I have to watch it because of work. Anytime I would put it on, he would literally, are you seriously watching the Valley?

00:03:50
Speaker 2: I'm out.

00:03:51
Speaker 3: Walk out.

00:03:52
Speaker 4: Wow.

00:03:53
Speaker 3: It was so bad this season.

00:03:56
Speaker 2: How dare you say that about our Lala? No, Lala was good.

00:03:59
Speaker 1: Are you kidding me? I love and adore Lala with all of my heart. These two, I'm happy to see.

00:04:05
Speaker 2: Okay, fine. Fair, fair, fair. So now, first of all, I always laugh when it says slow-mo-wuh. Slow-mo-wuh. And that means.

00:04:14
Speaker 1: Secret lives of Mormon wives.

00:04:16
Speaker 2: So I actually did watch this trailer and then halfway through, I said to myself, stop this.

00:04:22
Speaker 1: Can I tell you how I feel about this show? First three seasons, loved it. Season four, it jumped the shark. Season five, I don't even want to watch the first episode.

00:04:33
Speaker 2: Why do you think it jumped the shark? Because they're getting too big for their like, Yeah. Again. Back to survive this. Yeah.

00:04:40
Speaker 3: Back to Danny.

00:04:41
Speaker 2: When they said mom talk on the trailer, I actually like gagged a little. She's like something, something mom talk. And I'm like, no, no.

00:04:52
Speaker 1: Season one through three was so good because they were just like all real. You know what I mean?

00:04:58
Speaker 3: Like real fun, cool, sloppy, whatever. It was great.

00:05:03
Speaker 1: Now the last season, they're all like, yeah, cool.

00:05:06
Speaker 3: Sorry, I said the F word. We're so cool. And guess what? We're influencers and we love mom talk.

00:05:13
Speaker 1: I'm being so mean today. I'm sorry for everyone that's listening to this.

00:05:17
Speaker 3: Sometimes it needs to happen.

00:05:18
Speaker 2: It's true, though. But I'm still going to watch.

00:05:21
Speaker 4: It's not going to be my top reality show, but I'm still going to watch.

00:05:24
Speaker 3: I think I might boycott it.

00:05:25
Speaker 1: Oh.

00:05:29
Speaker 3: I may boycott it.

00:05:30
Speaker 1: And I know I have to watch this for work, but the show that I usually have to watch this for work for.

00:05:35
Speaker 3: is also boycotting.

00:05:37
Speaker 1: It so you know what oh maybe i don't have to watch it i didn't know that is that yeah they hated the last season and they were like i don't want to do this again oh my gosh.

00:05:50
Speaker 4: Yeah well danielle i will say um to go with secret lives more um the premiere episode of salt lake city.

00:05:57
Speaker 1: I watched it did you watch it i have not watched it yet.

00:06:01
Speaker 2: I cried Oh, my God.

00:06:03
Speaker 4: That means it's one of the most emotional Housewives episodes premieres you will ever watch.

00:06:09
Speaker 2: With who? Who could be that? Mary Cosby and her son passed away. Oh, shoot. And the way that she speaks about it is like, whoa.

00:06:19
Speaker 3: Oh, no, that's going to wreck me.

00:06:20
Speaker 2: It will wreck you, especially because you have two sons.

00:06:22
Speaker 3: It's like it will wreck you.

00:06:24
Speaker 2: And but the way at the end of episode, I just because she.

00:06:28
Speaker 3: Oh, no, don't don't even. Can we say that much? Can we say that much?

00:06:32
Speaker 2: Preparing you. Okay.

00:06:35
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:06:36
Speaker 3: I love that franchise. Salt Lake City, Rhode Island, winner, winner, chicken dinner.

00:06:40
Speaker 2: Both of you. So here was something that I enjoyed. And look, you can have your thoughts. I'm not, I'm not here for that. Lori Loughlin came back to Instagram. And let me tell you who supported her. The entire Full House cast. They did this whole thing. John Stamos, Jodi Sweetin, Dave Coulier, Candace Cameron, Andrea, Scott. And it was like cute. I didn't totally understand because I forgot about her like hosting Good Morning San Francisco or whatever it was called, Wake Up San Francisco. But all of a sudden, just all these people. And I was like, you know what? I like these people.

00:07:17
Speaker 4: She quoted a quote that she She said a line, she quoted a line that she said on the show.

00:07:23
Speaker 2: When she came back from maternity leave. The part where she says, I'm Rebecca Donaldson? I'm welcoming myself back. Yes, because. Yeah, because that was after she had the baby or something? After she had the twins, yes.

00:07:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.

00:07:32
Speaker 2: But I liked it. Me too, I liked it. Danny Tanner, wake up. I know, it was cute. It was cute. So, look, good job, Instagram. Who cares?

00:07:44
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:07:45
Speaker 2: Oh my god danielle is even more snarky than me okay.

00:07:49
Speaker 3: Are you such a pill today i.

00:07:51
Speaker 2: Chose this because of you harry potter trailer.

00:07:55
Speaker 3: Oh my god you still want me.

00:07:57
Speaker 2: To be mean i didn't even understand this is there a new harry potter.

00:08:01
Speaker 1: Tell us okay it is this harry potter the prequel it's a series but it's like before.

00:08:10
Speaker 3: No, it is. It's the beginning of the movies, but just a TV series.

00:08:15
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. So it's a reimagining. Because they talk about the shorting hat.

00:08:19
Speaker 1: They talk about the, like based off the trailer I saw, I do not believe it to be a prequel because they are teasing all the things that happened in that first book.

00:08:27
Speaker 2: Why make that? We already have the movies. Why make a series?

00:08:39
Speaker 3: I got two thoughts on this. The one side of me says, you know what? I'm always down for Harry Potter. I love Harry Potter.

00:08:45
Speaker 1: That was such an important part of my childhood. I'm obsessed with that franchise in general. Okay, this is a way to bring back the content and bring back the feels and all that kind of stuff.

00:08:58
Speaker 3: So on one side of me, I'm.

00:09:00
Speaker 1: Like, you know what?

00:09:00
Speaker 3: This is kind of cool.

00:09:02
Speaker 1: On the second side of me, I'm like, you're never going to live up to the movies.

00:09:06
Speaker 2: Yeah.

00:09:07
Speaker 1: Ever. No matter how hard you try. The movies will always be the best thing in the entire world. That cast will be the best thing in the entire world. You cannot have a new Harry.

00:09:17
Speaker 2: Unless there's like a whole new generation.

00:09:19
Speaker 3: You cannot have a new Hermione.

00:09:21
Speaker 2: Well, okay. I don't have an argument. I don't have an argument for you because I don't care about any of this and I never watched the movies. And the one movie I went to, I fell asleep.

00:09:29
Speaker 3: You never watched the movies, Jackie?

00:09:32
Speaker 2: No. I read the first book, though. You know what?

00:09:35
Speaker 3: I'm going to have a good correlation. Harry Potter is to me as friends.

00:09:38
Speaker 2: Is to you. I know. I got all my friends stuff.

00:09:41
Speaker 4: But that's why I put it in there because I knew how much you loved it.

00:09:45
Speaker 2: Well, give it a shot.

00:09:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll give it a shot. The one thing I will say about the trailer, it looked scarily AI.

00:09:53
Speaker 2: Oh, no.

00:09:55
Speaker 3: But it wasn't it. But it was like, whoa, these people... It looks AI.

00:10:00
Speaker 4: That they're turning into a series is Dirty Dancing like I wonder how that's gonna go.

00:10:04
Speaker 2: I thought Jennifer Grey was working on a movie or something I thought Dirty Dancing was becoming a series maybe they nailed the right Patrick Swayze they'd have something but that's gonna be hard Oh, it's a new movie. Never mind. Sorry. It's a new movie. It's a new movie. You're right. You're right. Carried a watermelon. I love that movie so much. So much. Miley Cyrus is now Miley. And all of a sudden, out of nowhere, we got an album and we got shows at the Hollywood Bowl. Did anyone else think that was a little surprising? I was like, wait, what?

00:10:40
Speaker 3: Yeah. Look, I'm always down for some new Miley.

00:10:44
Speaker 1: Me too. Miley has always been Miley. I've never, I think once.

00:10:48
Speaker 2: Said her name was Miley Cyrus.

00:10:50
Speaker 3: No, it's always just Miley.

00:10:52
Speaker 2: I've called her Miley Cyrus forever.

00:10:53
Speaker 1: No, it's Miley for sure.

00:10:55
Speaker 3: I'm excited. I love her.

00:11:01
Speaker 1: I think she's great. I think she's so unique and different and I'm ready for it. I'm excited to see what her new music sounds like and Maybe.

00:11:10
Speaker 3: We should go to the Hollywood Bowl.

00:11:11
Speaker 2: 100%, but there's so many things I want to do at the Hollywood Bowl. I got to go see the Jonas Brothers. Obviously, that's no negotiation I'm going. A smart list. I kind of want to go to the smart list show at the Bowl.

00:11:24
Speaker 3: We should go for research. We should.

00:11:26
Speaker 2: Agree. When is it? I'm so, I mean, I'm getting booked up. When is it? When is smart list at the Bowl? I thought it was in October. I've got a lot of football games too that we have to squeeze this into. So, oh, this says Miley.

00:11:38
Speaker 4: Miley.

00:11:39
Speaker 2: Miley Cyrus, is October 16th and 18th at the Hollywood Bowl. I know the Jonas Brothers are November 18th and 19th. Is Smartless the 17th? Yes. So she had to work around their dates. So it goes Miley, Smartless, Miley. So if I came down for Smartless, I obviously can go to Miley. There you go. I'm open to it.

00:12:01
Speaker 1: Let's do it.

00:12:01
Speaker 3: You know who loves Miley?

00:12:02
Speaker 1: Our boss.

00:12:05
Speaker 2: Oh my God. Should we call him?

00:12:08
Speaker 3: We should.

00:12:08
Speaker 2: We should. We can't call him in on this.

00:12:12
Speaker 4: Hold on.

00:12:14
Speaker 2: I'm texting him. Are you coming to see Miley with us at the Hollywood Bowl, October 16th or 18th? I texted him. I copied him. Yeah, our big boss.

00:12:29
Speaker 3: Which is us.

00:12:30
Speaker 2: Our big boss. He's like, What? Why are you laughing? He is our big boss, but like, it's so weird when we call him that. Our big boss. He wrote, oh my God. He already wrote back immediately. And let me tell you the things I text him that I need answers on that he doesn't respond. Oh my God. We got to get a box then. I can't, I got to get a box because I need, the food there is delicious. The food there is truly delicious. So speaking of, you were being snarky. Look, I could do an entire show on Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump going to court. But all I'm going to say is I don't care for those sunglasses. Do you? No.

00:13:10
Speaker 3: Do you like her sunglasses?

00:13:12
Speaker 1: She looks like she's about to play baseball.

00:13:14
Speaker 2: I think she looks like she's about to hit the slopes.

00:13:16
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:13:18
Speaker 2: They're too goggly.

00:13:20
Speaker 3: Too goggly.

00:13:21
Speaker 2: Her hair looks good. Yeah. But her sunglasses are too goggly. Her blazer's nice. Yeah. Yeah. And her hair looks nice, but. I don't know. I'm not even going to comment on the whole rest of it, but I do feel comfortable commenting that I don't care for those sunglasses. I don't.

00:13:37
Speaker 3: I didn't know they were dating.

00:13:38
Speaker 2: Wow. What?

00:13:39
Speaker 1: I know.

00:13:40
Speaker 3: I live under a rock.

00:13:40
Speaker 2: I know. Can I? Go ahead.

00:13:44
Speaker 3: You sent me this.

00:13:45
Speaker 2: Okay. The lady with the bat in her mouth?

00:13:47
Speaker 1: Yes.

00:13:48
Speaker 2: Oh my God. I think about her.

00:13:49
Speaker 1: And I just want to know how.

00:13:51
Speaker 2: I'm thinking about her so much. Can you see if she'll come on? I have so many questions because I want to know how did the bat get in her house? how did the bat get in your house? Do you sleep with the window open? No screen. That's all that my brain could come up with.

00:14:02
Speaker 3: And then in your mouth.

00:14:03
Speaker 2: Number two, she's like, said she was like pulling something out of her mouth, like in her sleep. And it was a bat. So then immediately, obviously she's got to get, catch the bat and test it for rabies. She probably got to get like 5,000 shots because of, Like bats are dangerous. It later tested negative for rabies. So she's okay.

00:14:22
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:14:23
Speaker 3: You know what I did?

00:14:24
Speaker 2: Can you get her? We got to get her.

00:14:26
Speaker 3: What is a true fact?

00:14:28
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:14:28
Speaker 3: Isn't she a doctor?

00:14:30
Speaker 2: Yes.

00:14:31
Speaker 1: She's a doctor.

00:14:32
Speaker 3: How do they.

00:14:33
Speaker 2: Say 5,000 spiders crawl in your mouth? Yes.

00:14:36
Speaker 3: You eat three spiders every year.

00:14:38
Speaker 2: I don't. Oh, every year. Yeah. That seems more reasonable. I thought you were going to say every night.

00:14:43
Speaker 3: You know, I woke up the other day with like, kind of like.

00:14:47
Speaker 2: Oh, and you thought you had a spider in there?

00:14:49
Speaker 1: Like that. You know that. And I literally thought to myself, I wonder if I just ate a spider.

00:14:56
Speaker 2: So you know that I have never worried about bats because I don't, I just didn't cross my mind. Although I have bats around my neighborhood. Like if you walk at dusk, there's bats. And I was at a dinner party. I can't remember if I told you guys this, at my friend Sally's this summer. And all of a sudden, this like, they said a moth. Oh, that's a giant moth came down and literally landed on my friend Shannon's like chest right here. And everyone was like, Whoa, that moth is huge. And then a couple of us were like, that's not a moth. So then the bat went onto the table and everyone's like, is it a moth? Is that a bat? Like it just didn't look Batman-y, but it did kind of look batty.

00:15:41
Speaker 1: Literally.

00:15:41
Speaker 2: I was like, This is what went through my brain. And she's got to get tested. I literally said, I'm so grateful that didn't happen to me. Because I would have said, I'm dying. Because I would have been like, I have to go to the emergency room. Like, what do I do? This is so, I've been so stressed. And she was pretty calm.

00:16:00
Speaker 3: Little did you know she spent the night with you.

00:16:03
Speaker 2: No, I'd seen her after and I was like, you're alive. You didn't have any problems. I'm very afraid of bats, but you know that what I have? A rat. Rhymes with bats. His name is Rat. And I got a note in the mail the other day. The exterminator came and they give you like an update. Sometimes they put it in the mailbox, but sometimes they hook it to your door. I think they realize they can't just put it in the mailbox. Did you know it's like a federal offense if you put like cookies in a mailbox? You're not allowed.

00:16:29
Speaker 4: Why?

00:16:30
Speaker 2: Because it's, like owned by the government or something.

00:16:33
Speaker 1: I don't know.

00:16:33
Speaker 2: I'm making this up.

00:16:34
Speaker 1: I definitely put things in my neighbor's mailbox.

00:16:36
Speaker 2: I don't think they take you to jail for it, but like, you're not supposed to, the mail is supposed to be used for the U S postal service. And like, if you're dropping off cookies, they need to go on the front porch. I'm making half of this up, but I think it's based on some facts.

00:16:48
Speaker 1: I've never heard that before, but I've definitely put things in my neighbor's mailboxes before.

00:16:53
Speaker 2: Well, you broke the law, I think.

00:16:55
Speaker 3: Yes, I did.

00:16:56
Speaker 2: You might go to the, go to the, go to the jail. So what was I saying? The rat. The note said, you know, we did this, we did this, and we got a rat out of the attic in the trap. And I'm like, oh God. So every time there's a rat in the attic, I know that that noise I hear, that I think, oh, I think I just heard a rat, is a rat.

00:17:21
Speaker 3: Was it caught?

00:17:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that one, there's more. I don't know how they're getting in. It's so stressful. It is so stressful. Anyway, I don't know why I'm telling you guys that. Just because. I've got a lot of back pain today. Anybody else? I got something going on right in here.

00:17:46
Speaker 3: Can you tell me what this cracker butter is? Delia was.

00:17:51
Speaker 2: Oh, yes, I can. Did Heather text you about this? Yes, she did. Okay.

00:17:55
Speaker 1: So late last night, it was such a day.

00:17:58
Speaker 2: It has been a day in the words of Josh Peck, who I love. Danielle and I have been having a days, right?

00:18:04
Speaker 3: We're not here to complain. We've been having a year.

00:18:06
Speaker 2: I'm so tired. I don't even know. I look terrible. I'm so tired. So I got home at like 10 o'clock. I'm doing 5,000 things. I don't have any food in the house. So I had fruit. So I cut up two plums. Cause I had two plums, put some blueberries on top. And then I said to Heather, I'm just going to have saltines and butter. And she was like, what? And I'm like, no, that's actually delicious.

00:18:33
Speaker 3: Saltines.

00:18:33
Speaker 2: And you let the butter get kind of like warm. You don't like, I'm not saying put it in the microwave.

00:18:39
Speaker 3: Spreadable.

00:18:39
Speaker 2: Very soft. Spreadable. Yes. Cause you don't need a lot of butter on a saltine. Just enough. You don't have counter butter? 10. Did you say counter butter?

00:18:48
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:18:49
Speaker 2: No, I'm not one of those. I know a lot of people are like, I do. You have like the butter crock or whatever. Yeah. The little, little thing. I keep it in the fridge and then I set it out, let it get room temperature and then I spread it. So good.

00:19:02
Speaker 4: Because when you, Oh, when you are doing your toast on butter or crackers on butter, it's so easily spread.

00:19:08
Speaker 2: You don't have to like, like go like, right. Yeah. It's so, you know what I don't care for, you know, when you go to certain restaurants and there's like a rectangle of butter.

00:19:18
Speaker 3: On And tar is a rock.

00:19:20
Speaker 1: Oh my God.

00:19:20
Speaker 2: It's like, don't bother. Yeah. Don't give me that.

00:19:24
Speaker 1: I will say I'm not dogging your saltines with butter because there's nothing in this world I love more than just sourdough toast toasted with butter.

00:19:36
Speaker 2: Oh yeah. Do you ever throw jam on there?

00:19:38
Speaker 3: Of course. But I will eat it just by itself.

00:19:41
Speaker 2: Oh, I just said, first of all, it's the first time I said it the whole time.

00:19:44
Speaker 1: Great.

00:19:45
Speaker 2: I think of Scott slash Luke jam hands so much.

00:19:50
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:19:50
Speaker 2: You know, in Gilmore Girls when he's like, I don't like kids. They have jam hands. Like, jam hands are real. No, so Heather also likes peanut butter, but I can't have peanut butter because I'm not allergic to it. It just bloats me.

00:20:02
Speaker 3: Yeah. I like peanut butter, but.

00:20:05
Speaker 2: Can you do all the butters? Almond butter, sunflower butter, whatever. Sun butter.

00:20:09
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:20:09
Speaker 2: I can't do any of that.

00:20:10
Speaker 3: Some butter I don't like, but I can.

00:20:12
Speaker 2: Do you guys cook with ghee? No.

00:20:14
Speaker 3: No.

00:20:15
Speaker 2: What is that?

00:20:16
Speaker 4: That's unclarified butter. So they take the cream out of it. And so it doesn't burn. So I do it every morning with my eggs for my kid. Hmm.

00:20:25
Speaker 2: Yeah. Doesn't burn. Like, I'm so tired. Are you tired? I just realized I was like, if I do this show much longer, I'm going to fall asleep. Have you ever been sitting there and you're just like, my eyes are closed.

00:20:48
Speaker 1: Every single day I go, okay, we got to go.

00:20:52
Speaker 2: My eyes are closing. Not that we're boring. We're not. We're fun. You know what it is? I'm so tired. You know what it is?

00:21:00
Speaker 3: You finally could relax in this moment.

00:21:02
Speaker 2: True. I'm like, ah.

00:21:04
Speaker 3: You can finally relax so your body is going.

00:21:07
Speaker 2: We've got like a few things to solve. today, which I'm hoping after this show, we can check our emails and they've been solved.

00:21:14
Speaker 1: I agree.

00:21:17
Speaker 2: Great stuff. I mean, I got a lot more to talk about. There's a lot of things coming. I want to watch. There's a lot. A lot. Is that Josh Hartnett TV show on with the like mystery beast? Not yet.

00:21:30
Speaker 4: But I did watch The Whisper Man, which was really good. And your Michael Keaton was in it, Amy. And he plays a role where I.

00:21:37
Speaker 2: Was like, wow.

00:21:37
Speaker 3: Have I told that story? I've told you guys this story.

00:21:40
Speaker 2: Everywhere.

00:21:41
Speaker 1: Everywhere.

00:21:41
Speaker 2: He's that. Yeah. Robert De Niro, Adam Scott. He's in The Whisper Man. So good. So good. Really? But it's creepy. But it's creepy. I don't mind creepy. Like serial killer creepy. How much longer till Below? That's the one with Josh Hartnett. I feel like it's on. Oh my gosh. October. Well. Good luck to Cal. We've got the big football game, which I know I've been mentioning, Cal UCLA. A lot of stuff happening. A lot of stuff. What is on tap for you guys this weekend before we go? Disneyland.

00:22:17
Speaker 4: I went to Legoland last week and that's why I have nothing this week.

00:22:21
Speaker 2: You're going to Disneyland with both kids?

00:22:24
Speaker 3: With both children.

00:22:26
Speaker 2: I know you're going to say no to this. I am going to ask.

00:22:28
Speaker 3: I do not have $ 5, 000 for a guide.

00:22:32
Speaker 2: I don't, look, I'm a gatekeeper a little bit on this. I'm a gatekeeper. So normally I wouldn't even say it, but like, I, with the VIP guide. I, look, I love the VIP guide so much.

00:22:44
Speaker 3: If I had the cash to blow, I would do it too. I just, I can't.

00:22:47
Speaker 2: Our friend, our friend married a VIP guide. I can't think of anything more iconic. She literally married a real, alive Prince Charming. He's just like, Let me show you everything about Disneyland. Do you have an annual pass, Danielle?

00:23:01
Speaker 3: I do not, no. Easton does.

00:23:04
Speaker 2: Easton has an annual pass.

00:23:05
Speaker 3: He does.

00:23:06
Speaker 2: Are you going to go to Din Tai Fung?

00:23:09
Speaker 3: Probably not.

00:23:10
Speaker 2: I can tell you exactly what to get at Din Tai Fung. I love it.

00:23:13
Speaker 3: We love Din Tai Fung.

00:23:14
Speaker 1: Amy and I went there not so long ago and we were obsessed.

00:23:17
Speaker 3: We ate so much.

00:23:18
Speaker 1: I ordered so much food, but somehow it was Ian.

00:23:21
Speaker 2: Did you get the chocolate? We literally had like a tiny thing of rice left over. Okay.

00:23:24
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:23:25
Speaker 2: Of course we got the chocolate things. I think I ate three. Like it was just insane. I just didn't care. I hadn't eaten all day. We'd been working so much and we'd done like 20,000 steps just working, working, working. We're at the convention center and then we just went and like.

00:23:38
Speaker 3: Ate so many things.

00:23:40
Speaker 2: The green beans are.

00:23:42
Speaker 3: I can only have a few green beans.

00:23:43
Speaker 1: Potentially my favorite green beans ever.

00:23:45
Speaker 2: I can't eat broccoli, but then I can have a few green beans because otherwise they get so tooty. They blanch it and then they fry it.

00:23:51
Speaker 1: I remember I told you, I was like, these are really good, but they're going to make you toot.

00:23:54
Speaker 2: Toot. I have like a real tooting problem. So good. So good.

00:23:59
Speaker 3: Oh, you guys.

00:24:00
Speaker 2: Great times. Great times. I'm going to go get, so this is what I'm, just to keep everyone, you know, real. I've been testing out sandwiches, as you guys know, all over. And I'm usually disappointed. I'm usually disappointed. I think I told you one of my sandwiches was way too wet. Here's where you get the perfect sandwich if you live in the Bay Area. A Sweet Affair. It's a wonderful bakery out in Walnut Creek. This is my sandwich. And here's the funny part. I don't know if the bread I like is the nine grain or the whole wheat, multigrain or whole wheat. So I have to order both. I get one whole wheat and one multigrain. And I don't know which is which. So like, I don't know.

00:24:42
Speaker 3: I feel like, I feel like we can solve this problem.

00:24:46
Speaker 2: We'd have to like test it while we're there. I don't, anyway, ham, this is all I get. Ham, mayonnaise, lettuce. That's it? I just ate my first half. 10 out of 10. Ruffles, chips, ham, lettuce, mayonnaise. Do you put the chip in the sandwich? I do not. I would like a pickle. They don't have, I don't serve it with a pickle, but maybe I can get from the store some pickles. It would be nice with just one dill pickle, you know, like a spear.

00:25:15
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:25:15
Speaker 2: Like a pickle spear. And then I have my lemon water and five chocolate chips.

00:25:21
Speaker 3: You're living.

00:25:29
Speaker 2: It hurts to laugh because I think I was like in a weird position today. So I stretched out my abs. Didn't I ever tell you I got, one time I got deposed. Do you know what that means?

00:25:39
Speaker 1: Yes. Yes.

00:25:40
Speaker 2: And I was so stressed. It was like a Zoom deposal. I don't know if that's the way everybody say it. And so I leaned, I was like this leaning forward for one hour answering their questions. My stomach, it was like I'd done one.

00:25:53
Speaker 1: Because you were just holding your stomach in for an hour.

00:25:56
Speaker 2: So the next day I was like, oh my God, what? I think I had to like put the heating pad and take Advil. I was like, I don't have strong abs. I'm not gonna lie. I'm working on it. So, yeah.

00:26:07
Speaker 3: Well, you got your answer.

00:26:09
Speaker 1: Just sit like that for once a day. What?

00:26:15
Speaker 2: We got what we wanted. You know how I just said?

00:26:17
Speaker 3: Did it just come through?

00:26:22
Speaker 2: Wow.

00:26:24
Speaker 4: All right.

00:26:24
Speaker 1: Well, hold on. All right, guys. We got stuff to do.

00:26:30
Speaker 2: Bye-bye. And that's the news, except that's not what show this is. Listen if you want to.

00:26:35
Speaker 3: Listen if you want to.

00:26:36
Speaker 1: Yay.
