Speaker 1: Good morning everyone. Welcome to Morning Ron. It is a special Christmas edition. It is Thursday, December twenty fifth. We woke up a little early while the kids are sleeping. We hope you're having a wonderful Christmas day. I'm Amy Robots and I'm TJ.

00:00:26
Speaker 2: Holmes. It's I guess we're working on Christmas. This doesn't feel like a big lips. We just wanted to hop on and get people updated about what happened overnight. But yes, a lot of people are waiting for the bitter patter of little feet. We don't. Well, we got some big feet here in the house, but we got three sets of feet. That's the way. We haven't had three kids in the house in this particular one yet. But it's it's cool. Christmas is special when you got you when you're waiting on kids to.

00:00:49
Speaker 1: Wake Yeah, families are fun and boisterous, and especially when you are pseudo empty nesters like we are, to have them all here in one place, under one room feels pretty awesome. We hope you guys listening have some of that same joy in your home as well.

00:01:08
Speaker 2: But yeah, I just wanted to get caught up with the people are not going to spend too much time on news today. It's all about family. A couple of things we want to give your heads up on. Sorry, we do have the mention Epstein. This morning, we do have to mention. We're going to read you President Trump's Christmas message to the world that he put out on social media last night. The Pope, Actually, I did not know this. He's holding a Christmas Actually, as we are recording this, he was just, I believe, wrapping up a Christmas Mass. I didn't realize they haven't done Christmas a Christmas Day Mass since Pope John Paul.

00:01:40
Speaker 1: Wow, I didn't realize either. It was always midnight Mass before.

00:01:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, he brought it back. I didn't know. I think COVID messed up the schedule a little bit as well. But they have not done this since Pope John Paul. I think, Hey, this is American Pope.

00:01:53
Speaker 1: I love it. I love it making his own mark.

00:01:56
Speaker 2: And I think the highlights certainly of the day. A lot of people are gonna be open in gifts today. I promise you there is not one better than the gift being opened in Arkansas this morning.

00:02:06
Speaker 1: You predicted it. I love this. You predicted it yesterday. You said, I believe there will be a Powerball winner. Someone is going to wake up Christmas morning and find that they are now significantly richer and their life is completely changed. And I love that that ticket was opened or will be opened in your home state of Arkansas.

00:02:25
Speaker 2: And isn't it weird as we are recording this, there's a good chance that person has no idea right that there's something fun about that. And so yes, we kind of started rolling our eyes and shaking our heads and my god, somebody please win this power Ball And we got to Christmas Eve and we were we were like that there's not a more poetic and cooler story that when somebody wakes up today, babe, on Christmas morning with that. That's my believe.

00:02:51
Speaker 1: Gosh, I wish someone if who you can't possibly know, but it would be so cool to record it, to have some sort of video because I cannot. I think you'd just be silent. Mouth would just drop open one point eight one seven billion dollars with an eight hundred and thirty four point nine million dollar cash option that is forever life changing, generational changing. You could change your entire community, your church, your best friend, whatever you want to do it you could change countless lives.

00:03:20
Speaker 2: That is so cool, and I'd look, we can't help will look, we're all human beings. So I saw that somebody in Arkansas I won, and my first thought was have I been nice enough to my family?

00:03:32
Speaker 1: I was just gonna see, are you going to check with your sister and your niece, your niece and your nephew and your oh, my parents.

00:03:39
Speaker 2: Everybody's in Arkansas. We have so many family and friends. We have a better chance of knowing who has won this thing the most. We have so many connections and friends and family in Arkansas. So may hey, maybe we need to hang tight and uh, it's possible. We know this winner possible.

00:03:56
Speaker 1: Again, I just think it's so cool you predicted it, and I think it's so cool that it.

00:04:00
Speaker 2: Happened in Arkansas. They haven't said where in the state.

00:04:03
Speaker 1: I was just going to ask the next question. We just spent a bunch of time with a bunch of Arkansas folks this week and had a last had a blast with them.

00:04:10
Speaker 2: We were good, We were nice to everybody.

00:04:11
Speaker 1: We were so nice to them, and we had fun and we had Yeah, we were spreading holiday cheer with them. So yes, maybe they can spread some of that cash our way.

00:04:20
Speaker 2: So it has Isn't that crazy? My first thought went to, man, I hope I've been nice to my friends. That's so anyk It's human nature. But now you can again. Power Ball never stops. So another drawing is going to be the Saturday for twenty million dollars.

00:04:35
Speaker 1: Let's not cover it.

00:04:39
Speaker 2: But congrats to my dear friends and family that I love so much in Arkansas.

00:04:46
Speaker 1: Ok Ahead, Oh, I wanna say, I'm still holding out, hope, because we got each of the kids a lottery ticket of power Ball, and we actually have a couple two maybe we maybe we got a little bit of cash. That's always possible, So I'm holding out for that.

00:04:56
Speaker 2: Okay, let's not tell them about somebody. They to see it as soon as they opened the damn phone.

00:05:01
Speaker 1: Maybe.

00:05:02
Speaker 2: Yeah, so all three of them will be on TikTok before they get out of the bed.

00:05:08
Speaker 1: That's probably true.

00:05:09
Speaker 2: Okay, so they're probably gonna hear about this already if they come out talking about it. Let's pull the tickets. Yes, all right, A couple of we watched this yesterday. Lets you know about the President Trump? This is the cool thing. Nora ad tracks Santa. They've been doing it seventy years. I think it's one of the coolest things they do the government does. You're talking about the North North American Aerospace Defense Command taking the time to do this, and it takes effort.

00:05:36
Speaker 1: It's very sweet and kids look forward to it. I'm sure Sabine did when she was younger. Even Ava was like, my dad used to always have this on and he used to always hype it up. So they have these childhood memories of watching Norarad following Santa.

00:05:49
Speaker 2: Okay, so with that very sweet story, let's transition. This was on live yesterday. I don't even know how we caught it live were watching it, but I don't even know why we went back. You know what, We saw the President and Melania Trump sitting next to a beautiful Christmas tree, both in separate chairs, on separate phones, talking to separate people, and it, frankly was a curious picture. What is going on here? He was actually doing these phone calls with kids who were tracking Santa through noraht Now, this was charming for a moment. First set the scene, He's on speakerphone talking and the cameras on him. She's sitting over there on the phone like she's making a deal.

00:06:26
Speaker 1: It's hilarious.

00:06:26
Speaker 2: It looked weird. It did look not looked weird. It was a cool pick. But she was in a totally different posture than he was.

00:06:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, you're right. It was like she was making the art of the deal, like she was like on a business call. And he was talking with children about Santa. Yes, and you know Trump can't even on Christmas talk about anything without getting political. Even Christmas, even Santa, even Christmas gifts, they all have a political overtone to them. And I'm not even talking subtle, not at all.

00:06:56
Speaker 2: He was funny. He even said at one point while he was saying some stuff to a kid, he said, look, I had to do it. Couldn't help myself. I had to do it. And what he was talking about here, you know what, we can read it. And then I think everybody is gonna know what he's talking about.

00:07:08
Speaker 1: Yes, okay, first, well, when he was he said, we want to make sure that he's meaning Santa is not infiltrated, that we're not infiltrating into our country, a bad Santa. But we found out that Santa is good, Santa loves you, Santa loves Oklahoma like I do. He was talking to a kid in Oklahoma. You know, Oklahoma was very good to me in the election, So I love Oklahoma. Don't ever leave Oklahoma. Okay, that's fine, and it's fine.

00:07:33
Speaker 2: That's one that doesn't seem mean spirited. At least it almost seems ridiculous, but it's all in this case, it seems par for the course.

00:07:42
Speaker 1: And then, of course the whole cold in the stocking. Nobody wants coal, he said, you mean clean, beautiful, cold funny coal is clean and beautiful. Please remember that at all costs. But you don't want clean, beautiful coal, right. The little girl says, no, that's funny that he got that funny Christmas.

00:07:57
Speaker 2: Okay, I give him credit for that, but it's just it always you always pay at the enginet. It makes no And sometimes robes that we've said this before. He's a TV guy and he's a producer, and sometimes he can be a charming guy who knows good entertainment.

00:08:12
Speaker 1: Yes, and then he put out a Christmas message.

00:08:15
Speaker 2: Go right ahead, the Christmas message to the world. It's not that bad. It just starts off pretty strong, right.

00:08:21
Speaker 1: Yes, It's like, can we please have a united or a uniteing or unifying message on Christmas Eve. Ah, here's what President Trump put out to the world. Merry Christmas to all, including the radical left scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our country but are failing badly.

00:08:40
Speaker 2: You know, if he would have just stopped there, I would have been fine.

00:08:44
Speaker 1: No, no, no, he didn't stop there, though he went on we no longer have open borders, men in women's sports, transgender for everyone, or weak law enforcement.

00:08:53
Speaker 2: When what's the transgender for everyone? Did I miss it?

00:08:56
Speaker 1: I think that was maybe I'm guessing Gavin Newsom maybe saying he wants all kids to be trends like he said, I would love it if all kids could be trans That's my only guess. But maybe he is referencing something.

00:09:06
Speaker 2: I seem like the slogan I missed, like he a trade he's created one. Yeah, transgender for everyone.

00:09:13
Speaker 1: I think he's saying that's what liberals believe, like everyone you like, everyone should be transgender?

00:09:18
Speaker 2: Yay? If I missed that, No.

00:09:20
Speaker 1: I think that might just be him marketing it transgender for everyone or week law enforcement. What we do have is a record stock market and four O one k's lowest crime numbers in decades, no inflation, and yesterday a four point three GDP two points better than expected. Tariffs have given us trillions of dollars in growth and prosperity, and the strongest national security we have ever had. We are respected again, perhaps like never before. God bless America, President d JT.

00:09:53
Speaker 2: And do all a good night. That one's kind of funny, but that was his message that he put out another Trump I didn't. I wasn't that familiar. It sounded familiar, but it's been going the past couple of decades. But they do a Christmas Eve jazz concert that sounds familiar. Kennedy. Do we get in trouble for not calling it the Donald J. Trump Kennedy Center, or well, what's official.

00:10:15
Speaker 1: On the on the wall of the building. That's what it says. But everything I have read says that it's not. His name is legally not changed. There's no way Congress would have to. The law clearly states, so I think it's perfectly okay to reference it as the Kendid.

00:10:30
Speaker 2: Here's the thing, though, you can take Kennedy's name off of it. I guess if he wants to, he can just call it the Donald J. Trump Center and put that on the sign out front.

00:10:37
Speaker 1: They're just going to take it down when he leaves office. You know that's going to happen.

00:10:41
Speaker 2: Well, there were supposed to be. There was a tradition there they do a jazz concert and it did not happen last night Christmas Eve concert robes and that's that's a shame, because they said specifically there's one reason that the concert was canceled.

00:10:54
Speaker 1: Yes, there Actually I didn't realize, but the one of the head I'm trying. He was the show's host, the musician Chuck Read. He actually didn't call it off until I believe this week Wednesday, when he looked at the name change and he just said, you know what, this is what he said when I saw the name change on the Kennedy Center website and then hours later on the building. I chose to cancel our concert. And he's been presiding over this since two thousand and six, so it is an annual tradition that all of these wonderful jazz players all get together. And they were mentioning several other concerts have been canceled. Lin Manuel Miranda had a Hamilton reprisal that was said to should be showcased at the Kennedy Center. He has canceled it. So this is what we're probably going to see more and more of in protest. Basically, well, what do.

00:11:41
Speaker 2: You think about that? I mean, they feel what they feel, they believe what they believe. But this was a kind of a big deal, a big tradition, and it's also something that's been that's streamed, so you can enjoy this all over the world.

00:11:50
Speaker 1: And I think it's sad, and I think it's one of those things that maybe you could say that's cutting off your nose despite your face, like to not honor the space that was put in place and you can still know that, yes it's temporary, and yes you can be upset and you should speak out about it, But to take that away from yourself and from the people and the patrons who love it, that's sad. Then he wins and everybody loses, and that's not what we want.

00:12:14
Speaker 2: Well, folks of some of the I guess the Christmas related headlines, but we do want to share a couple other things that are going on in the new some significant updates, one having to do with weather, the other having to do and I'm sorry to say the Epstein Files. All right, folks will continue you on this Christmas morning. Still nice seeing or hearing the little ones in the house yet, So we're still okay do we What do we have left to do before they get up?

00:12:53
Speaker 1: I have to finish putting things in the stocking, so I have to do that. But yeah, I don't think we're going to see them for another three hours, that's my prediction, maybe two hours at the earliest.

00:13:03
Speaker 2: Right then, Well, hope your Christmas is going well. Don't know if you're hearing the pitter patter of little feet yet, but wherever you may be, I hope you're having a good Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning. So far they are, and we need to keep them in mind. Robes are folks out in California. They are going through it all right now and awful Christmas Eve and now going to be a pretty awful Christmas Day weatherwise. Robes we talked about. The Weather Channel actually said if you are in California, don't travel on Christmas even Christmas Day. Obviously that's not possible, but they're doing some dangerous, dangerou stuff.

00:13:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, roads are shut down, Tens of thousands of people are without power. Governor Newsom has declared a state of emergency in several major I think it's Los Angeles, Orange Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, and Shasta Counties. That Shasta Counties. That is a significant swath of southern California. And it's that atmospheric river that we've talked about before. And it's just dumping one to one and a half inches of rain per hour on some of those areas that were scarred from the fires. So the mud slide threat is there and real, and it's just tough, tough weather to have on this holiday.

00:14:12
Speaker 2: They actually have legit not just evacuation warnings. They have evacuation orders in some places out there, telling people they need to get out of there. That's that's awful for Look you look out the window and see it's raining, and that kind of sucks on a Christmas Day, but it's dangerous.

00:14:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, the trees that are falling too. I know you've seen some of the photos. But not only do you have the soaking rain, but they've got these winds. I saw Santa Monica had like a forty mile per hour gust. The hills in Venture I had a seventy mile per hour gusts. That's tropical storm force winds right there, isn't it.

00:14:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that is that and I can remember amount of meteorologist, So I don't I can explain how it all comes together, Robes. But the atmospheric river. We have been covering a few of the mountain California in the past couple of years. And the best example. It sounds crazy, but a imagine a water hose in the sky dumping water instead of spreading it around. Right, it's dumping in one place. That is what they call an atmospheric river. And that's happening in the southern California. It's supposed to happen or go through all day to day. Yeah, and I think not to the weekend where they finally get some relief. That's tough.

00:15:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, that is tough. We hope everyone can stay safe out there.

00:15:23
Speaker 2: And the last thing, it's not this story isn't funny. What happened to these women isn't funny. But this Epstein file fiasco has gotten to the point of absolute foolishness. Robes, I don't, this is just a joke. Let's just leave this alone. So already they missed the deadline for getting all the Epstein files out like they were supposed to. They start to trickle out, do a dump here, dump here, dump there, and they say, we're trying to work and get the stuff redacted. And now comes word robes that there's more stuff that we never knew.

00:15:58
Speaker 1: When you say more stuff that they never about, you mean a million more files that they whoopsie just found Oh my god, where did these come from?

00:16:07
Speaker 2: You sart saying that they are telling us We just we've been focused on Epstein for twenty years, and you know what, Wow, we just found some new documents. Not a stack, not a manilla folder, not something in somebody's grower.

00:16:23
Speaker 1: Nope, a million files that were previously unknown to be in their possession. How do you misplace a million files or not know they exist?

00:16:35
Speaker 2: This just further cements what you were saying before plenty here, this has not even before this. You can't trust the process. They put stuff out and told us not even to believe what we're seeing and reading, and now we got a million more. There's no trust in this. This is just a joke.

00:16:50
Speaker 1: It is absolutely a circus. And so yes, if anything, nothing's funny about what happened. Nothing's funny about the crimes. In fact, it's very maddening to see what the government did know and for how long they've known it. But you just kind of have to laugh at just the buffoonery that is taking place right now. It's buffoonery.

00:17:08
Speaker 2: And I add one other funny thing to it. They dumped this out it Christmas eve.

00:17:14
Speaker 1: Christmas Eve, they tell us, and then they say, due to the mass volume of this material, this process may take a few more weeks. The department will continue to fully comply with federal law. I mean, okay, all right, I mean it's just I cannot everyone is rolling their eyes. That's the problem. Everyone not. I can't think of one person who would say, wow, this is going smoothly, and look at our government being transparent, and look at our government showing us what they know and what they did know and for how long they've known it and who was involved. That's so cool that we're able to see all of that just in such a transparent way. So yes, I'm sorry, I just actually thought that was a lot for Christmass. Stop being so sarcastic folk.

00:17:58
Speaker 2: We just wanted to add that in there. But that was a headline. Heyes on Christmas Day. I can't believe Epstein is still making headlines because yes, on Christmas Eve they decided to hit us with this. But before we let you go, something we want to give you with our quote out this day, and it comes to us from Pope Leo himself. I thought this was sweet and in his message that he put out his Christmas Day message and he said, quote, a new day has dawned. We too are part of this new beginning. Even if you as yet believe it, peace is real and is already among you.

00:18:31
Speaker 1: Ah, that's reassuring.

00:18:32
Speaker 2: It is you know what that is leadership at a time where we're struggling to hear something from somebody that makes us feel good or makes it feel like it's going to be okay. That's what it was. And I saw that, and I'm I don't know what. We've had a stressful time here. I don't know why that just got to me. I wrote it down earlier, but in reading it out, something about it now just got to me. But yeah, that's what we need.

00:18:56
Speaker 1: I feel emotion too, babe. That was the perfect quote to pick from the perfect person on this Christmas Day. Look, peace begins with us individuals. You have to find peace within and then you give peace, and you create peace, and you fight for peace. And I know that sounds weird to fight for peace, but even if it's an internal battle, it sometimes it really can be. Sometimes. This is a stressful time of year, and we are all under a lot of stress just as a country and as a nation. These are tough times. So this is a very appreciative and thank you for pulling that quote.

00:19:29
Speaker 2: Not religious, certainly not Catholic when I'm an American and so is Mopope, and I appreciated this. A new day has dawned. We too are part of this new beginning, even if you as yet believe it, peace is real and is already among you. Love you, baby. Let's go have a good Christmas.

00:19:48
Speaker 1: I love you too, all right.

00:19:49
Speaker 2: Folks, hope you are having a good win with your family. Please keep peace in mind, keep some love and some gratitude in your heart today. It's a special, special time and a difficult time as well for a lot of people. Hope you have a day of gratitude. But for now, I am T. J.

00:20:02
Speaker 1: Holmes and I'm Amy Roebock. Merry Christmas.
