NEW Nancy Guthrie “Ransom Note” Claiming To Have Video Proof Of Kidnappers

In the latest note, TMZ says the author claims there were two kidnappers and that he has video of the “main guy” with Nancy on the day that she died. He claims to have pictures, names, addresses all stored on a cell phone that he will make available to them in exchange for 1 bitcoin.

We're talking about the abduction of Nancy Guthrie well over four months ago, nearly five months ago now, and yes, today TMZ is reporting that they have received another email from the same person who has been sending them ransom notes of sort. And I say ransom notes of sort because this isn't from the alleged kidnapper himself. It is from someone who claims to be in knowledge of who that kidnapper is and in possession of proof of who that kidnapper is.

Speaker 2: So Harvey Levin today people know that name by now, the founder of TMZ put this article out first on their website, but he also did five minute video robes in which he the article is one thing, but in the video he kind of explains more about what's in this note. So to get everybody caught up here. Of course, robes they have from the very beginning from her abduction, received a series of notes, and they kept putting them out and kept giving these updates throughout, so they believe now they are in touch still with that same person who has now sent them a new note. This is the person that originally was asking for bitcoin. They said they at the bitcoin because they needed to disappear afterwards.

So he says, I have a phone stashed in a secure location, guaranteeing both the information its stores and the safety of the phone. What it contains is my definition of delivering them, meaning the kidnappers on a silver platter, A short video of the main guy with Nancy the day that was probably her last. Pictures of both involved names and addresses and ages. This is what he claims to have.

Why would this guy want one bitcoin, which is I think currently worth about fifty seven sixty thousand dollars. It's it could maybe he thinks one day it'll be a million dollars, but there's already a million dollars on the table from the Guthrie family. And they just want to know where Nancy Guthrie's remains are at this point, they just want to return her and have a proper burial and a proper goodbye and a proper funeral, and they want no questions asked. They don't even want to know who the kidnappers are. That doesn't come with any strings attached other than knowing where Nancy Guthrie currently is. Why wouldn't he take that route?

It could be everything. It could be absolutely nothing. This is tough. I've just again I constantly put myself in Savannah's shoes and just the up and down the unknown. It's got to be so devastating every time something comes up that could possibly mean something or give them some sort of indication about information that would lead them to their beloved mom. This, this is, this could be a big thing. TMC yes, saying that the same person who's been contacting them throughout this kidnapping cases once again send them an email claiming this time to have video, time, to have pictures, this time, to have proof of the kidnappers and of Nancy on the day she died. He wants one bitcoin, they want proof. It's a standoff of sorts. We'll see what happens. But it is the move of this person now who claims to have this information. Obviously, he can't think that someone's just going to pay him what bitcoin without any proof, just him saying, hey, I got something, if you pay me, I'll show you what it is. Clearly he has to offer up some sort of proof that his proof exists.

But we did hear from Harvey Levin and TMZ saying they absolutely sent this latest email, as they have all the others, directly to the FBI. But look, this new ransom note to TMZ comes on a week where there have been some big developments and mainly developments for the public. We found out something that Savannah and her family and the FBI and the Sheriff's department already knew that the ransom note they do believe is legitimately from the kidnappers suggested in this second note that Nancy Guthrie died accidentally, not intentionally. I guess is the way they put it.

Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's information we were finding out. It was just, I guess it was shocking for us to learn that. It was also shocking for us to learn that the family learned that information, yeah, the first week. Yeah, and it just wasn't in public.

Speaker 3: Yes, so they've known, And it makes a lot of sense when you piece together how they were reaching out to the public and the words and what they were choosing to say, how they were choosing to say it, it all makes sense that they were operating with the knowledge that Nancy Guthrie had already died. They said that they reported that the note or the ransom note that we're talking about, actually the reason why they took it so seriously and believed it was in fact from the kidnappers, that they actually had details about the home, like inside Nancy Guthrie's home and what she was wearing that night, something that only a kidnapper or someone who had been inside that home that night would have known. And that is one of the reasons why they knew this was probably a legitimate ransom note from the kidnappers, but also of notes, So you have to wonder, is this guy who's reaching out to TMZ just capitalizing on the headlines that are now out there and thinking, Ooh, I want back in, I want to be a part of things again. That's possible because Savannah had a really tearful moment on the Today Show this week just talking about these headlines. And look, she didn't want to comment on what she knew from the ransom note, but she it was tough. She said, we're in agony. We cannot be in peace no matter how much I try to come out here every day and smile and find that joy. Basically, she said, I this is a moment to say we need your help. So she's saying, speaking out, making a plead of the public. No matter how small the reward is there you can tell us. It can be anonymous, please do the right thing. The question is, could that have motivated this guy to reach back out to TMZ. Why wouldn't he have reached back out to Savannah. It's a question that well, only that person can answer, but certainly it is back in the headline. That could be a great thing for the Guthrie family to finally get some enclosure. And we will wait and see if TMZ gets a follow up or if the FBI gets some sort of proof that this person in fact does have the goods to show who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie and where she might be, it.

We found out something that Savannah and her family and the FBI and the Sheriff's department already knew that the ransom note they do believe is legitimately from the kidnappers suggested in this second note that Nancy Guthrie died accidentally, not intentionally. I guess is the way they put it.

Speaker 3: Yes, so they've known, And it makes a lot of sense when you piece together how they were reaching out to the public and the words and what they were choosing to say, how they were choosing to say it, it all makes sense that they were operating with the knowledge that Nancy Guthrie had already died. Now, the local TV station kold it was interesting. They said that they reported that the note or the ransom note that we're talking about, actually the reason why they took it so seriously and believed it was in fact from the kidnappers, that they actually had details about the home, like inside Nancy Guthrie's home and what she was wearing that night, something that only a kidnapper or someone who had been inside that home that night would have known. And that is one of the reasons why they knew this was probably a legitimate ransom note from the kidnappers, but also of notes, So you have to wonder, is this guy who's reaching out to TMZ just capitalizing on the headlines that are now out there and thinking, Ooh, I want back in, I want to be a part of things again. That's possible because Savannah had a really tearful moment on the Today Show this week just talking about these headlines. And look, she didn't want to comment on what she knew from the ransom note, but she it was tough. She said, we're in agony. We cannot be in peace no matter how much I try to come out here every day and smile and find that joy. Basically, she said, I this is a moment to say we need your help. So she's saying, speaking out, making a plead of the public. No matter how small the reward is there you can tell us. It can be anonymous, please do the right thing. The question is, could that have motivated this guy to reach back out to TMZ. Why wouldn't he have reached back out to Savannah. It's a question that well, only that person can answer, but certainly it is back in the headline. That could be a great thing for the Guthrie family to finally get some enclosure. And we will wait and see if TMZ gets a follow up or if the FBI gets some sort of proof that this person in fact does have the goods to show who kidnapped Nancy Guthrie and where she might be, it.
