RSS Feed California Congressman Eric Swalwell has officially ended his bid for Governor, announcing on X late Sunday that it’s his fight to face false allegations, not his campaign’s. Swalwell is facing a criminal investigation in Manhattan for an alleged rape of a former staffer in 2024 and a possible expulsion vote in Congress this week. DHS has also opened an investigation into the Congressman over the legal status of his Brazilian nanny.

And then in California, the Alameda County District Attorney's Office says they are now evaluating whether any alleged criminal conduct occurred within the Bay Area because this same young woman claims something happened to her as well. And that has been the case with just about, well not just about, with every single person who has spoken up. They have spoken out against him and the allegations being made, and in fact, Republican from Florida, Anna Paulina Luna, she had said over the weekend that she is going to bring emotion to the House to expel swallow Well. It would need two thirds vote in favor to pass, but we've already heard from several several House members who have signaled that yes, they would be open to expelling Swallwell. They also included Tony Gonzalez out of Texas for his sexual misconduct allegations as well, so they likely will bring that vote on both of those congressmen, which is pretty remarkable.

Yeah, the US Department of Homeland Security has announced that it is investigating allegations that Eric Swalwell kept his Brazilian nanny in the States well after her visa expired. And here is what they said. They say the agency has been collecting information on allegations involving Congressman Eric Swalwell's hiring of a Brazilian national as a nanny without lawful work authorization. No, no one is above the law, including a member of Congress. These allegations are serious. USCIS has referred this matter to DHS Law Enforcement for investigation.

So it isn't just one voice, it's multiple voices. And that's a big problem for Eric Swalwell.

You got a Florida congressman who is in another I think a sex scout. I can't remember his name, but then you have I can't remember where she's from. The Democrat who is facing like millions of doubts, like federal charges, fraud charges, fraud charges, she has been testifying, she's been brought before ethics committee. There are they gonna go after her. So they are very hesitant robes. And it actually makes sense, hesitant to kick out members of Congress of that house because the people voted him in. If the people want to vote them out, let their own constituents do so that kind of makes.

Speaker 3: Sense, does And once you start down this slope, as you just detailed, it is a very slippery one. So to think that Swolwell will be out in January, regardless his term ends, they wouldn't have to do anything. It's a matter of tolerating him now for a matter of months.
