Yes, Los Angeles will be one of the legs of our run this morning. We'll also make stops to the house Floor in DC, Salt Lake City, as well as Corpus Christi, Texas, and Pittsburgh. But the first leg of our run, as you could guess, we have to begin in Minneapolis.

Speaker 1: Citizen, she is a Twin City resident, and her name is Renee Nicole Good. Crowds gathered last night around individil that popped up at the scene. In fact, we're told thousands of people showed up in just a few block radius.

Speaker 1: Peaceful and they were remembering Good. But meanwhile, there are two very different narratives that are playing out over that video that we've all seen with our own two eyes, and yet so many opinions.

Those two different opinions are coming from, yes the administration and from democratic let's say Democratic leaders in Minnesota. First off, Christy Nome, Department of Homeland Security. They reiterated their stance yesterday that the woman is and I'm quoting them, a domestic terrorists who threatened the agents with a weapon, which was her car. Meanwhile, Minnesota officials, in particular the governor and the Mayor of Minnesota. Of Minneapolis, I should say, had some very strong words at least the mayor, did you have heard and seeing that everywhere the profanity he used, telling Ice to get out, also saying it's bs the video that you're seeing in the narrative from the other side. But the governor there, we gave him credit. Governor Walt's calls where everybody to please stay calm, go protest if you'd like to, but don't give the administration a reason to come in here and use violent tactics if you will. So they did make it through the evening of our visuals and protests, as you mentioned Rose, but for the most part in Minneapolis and around the country other cities, it was peaceful.

Speaker 1: And that was certainly a relief, all right. Next up on the run was a deadly mass shooting last night. It happened outside of a chapel where a funeral was taking place. So two people were killed, six others wounded, and a manhunt is underway as of this recording.

Speaker 3: And they say they don't know if they're looking for one suspect or multiple suspects after this thing. It was at the Church of Jesus Christ, of Latter Day Saints Chapel. This was in a parking lot where some altercation broke out and three people are in critical conditions still as of this recording. Next up on the Run here as we continue on this Thursday morning run, the trial of the Uvalde police officer accused of failing to act during the shooting at the school there. That trial is going to continue today after the judge yesterday refused to grant a mistrial.

Speaker 1: Adrian Gonzalez is facing twenty nine counts of child endangerment. He was the first and one of the first officers on the scene, but he chose not to enter the school or to engage the shooter. He stayed on his radio just talking about what he was seeing and hearing, but he did not take action. So testimony started Tuesday. It was suspended after the defense accused prosecutors of withholding information. A particular witness, a former third grade teacher there at rob Elementary, changed where she said she saw Adrian Gonzalez in relation to the shooter. She claimed he was much closer than previously or that her previous statements, but the judge said that does not amount to a mistrial. So testimony will resume this morning and we.

By the he actually mentioned them as a place he might go after next after taking out Madure. But this is what Trump posted yesterday and quite a different tone. It was a great honor to speak with the President of Columbia, Gustavo Petro, who called to explain the situation of drugs and other disagreements that we have had. I appreciated his call and tone and look forward to meeting him in the near future. Arrangements are being made between Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the Foreign Minister of Colombia. That meeting will take place in the White House in Washington, d C.

Speaker 3: This was a guy, he said, had cocaine mills. This was the day before, twenty four hours before. Don't know what changed in that phone call, but something changed dramatically. Let's turn down to Venezuela, the country. He said. One hundred people died in that US operation last weekend to capture Maduro, most of been part of Maduro's security force. The governments says they were killed in cold blood.

Speaker 1: Meanwhile, US force has seized two more oilers yesterday carrying Venezuelan oil, one in the Atlantic it was headed east. It was heading east from Venezuela, and another off the coast of Iceland. The administration has said the US will take thirty to fifty barrels of Venezuelan oil, sell it at market price, and then use the proceeds to benefit the American people and the Venezuelan people. So what will Venezuelans do with the proceeds from those oil sales? Spend it on American goods.

They give you the money from the old that you're going to give right back to us an American goods. Yes, the President wrote on social media yesterday, I have just been informed that Venezuela is going to be purchasing only American made products with the money they receive from our new oil deal. These purchases will include, among other things, American agricultural products and American made medicines, medical devices, and equipment to improve Venezuela's electric grid and energy facilities. In other words, Venezuela is committing to doing business with the United States of America as their principal partner. A wise choice and a very good thing for the people Venezuela and the United States. That is what the President said. Chris Murphy, the Senator from Democrat from Connecticut, I think not America Connecticut right. His quote has been all over the place. In the press conference, he was just incredulous. He said, we are literally taking their oil at gunpoint and then telling you we are using that as a negotiating ploy to make sure you do business with the United States. He said, it's just.

But they also adjusted the guidelines on alcohol consumption.

But I think a lot of people could point to alcohol and say it tears a lot of people apart too, So you know, I think that's a fair statement as well. We've been hearing this for a long time that there is no healthy or safe amount of alcohol. It is a poison and certainly has addictive properties. And we are seeing a massive decline in alcohol sales, mostly driven by younger folks who are turning to cannabis and other products to unwind and relax.

Speaker 3: Is that not that you would say, hey, stop drinking and go do this drug. But there are plenty of folks, including your doctors, who would prefer you using marijuana than they would alcohol.

Speaker 3: Continuing on the run here now some unfortunate news coming out of Pittsburgh about its largest and oldest newspaper. It is shutting down. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is going to have its final addition on May third and cease to operate. Robes day like look media has been going through it for decades now in a decline. But they also had a legal battle there with the union that represents journalists. So they lost kind of a court case and a court battle something they were hoping to do to move down the road. And they say, we can't survive it, so they are shutting down. I don't know how they've survived this long three hundred and fifty million dollars in losses the past twenty years.

Speaker 1: They say, yeah, And that's another really sad sign of the times. But that is just the way things are aheaded. People aren't buying newspapers, they aren't reading magazines, they aren't watching broadcast news. So yes, everyone has to adjust, but it certainly is.

They put up on social media and it said January seventh, and I can't remember the language, but it wasn't a tease for Stranger Things. It was something else, completely different, and folks tried to piece it together and say, maybe there's another episode. They even have a name for the other episode. I didn't know where that came from, actually eight, but they thought the episode had a particular name. Even so, Netflix now is trying to make it clear the show was over, folks.

People were complaining that they were just getting inundated to the point where it was affecting their experience of the finale and putting it to rest.

The wealthiest place on the planet is the graveyard because it's filled with hopes, aspirations, ideas and dreams never acted upon. It's that thought. I mean, I know this is from my pastor, but this idea that there is so much that just never you never pursue. There are great ideas that were never even tried. They were dreams never fulfilled or never even pursued. I love the idea that you go to a grave thing and you if you were able to, you can't ask all those people what didn't you do? What didn't you try? You would have so many ideas and things popping off. So the way he put it, the wealthiest place on the plant is the graveyard because yeah, it's full of rich, richness and ideas that nobody ever pursued. So just a reminder got to go for it.

But I think a lot of people could point to alcohol and say it tears a lot of people apart too, So you know, I think that's a fair statement as well. We've been hearing this for a long time that there is no healthy or safe amount of alcohol. It is a poison and certainly has addictive properties. And we are seeing a massive decline in alcohol sales, mostly driven by younger folks who are turning to cannabis and other products to unwind and relax.

Speaker 3: Continuing on the run here now some unfortunate news coming out of Pittsburgh about its largest and oldest newspaper. It is shutting down. The Pittsburgh Post Gazette is going to have its final addition on May third and cease to operate. Robes day like look media has been going through it for decades now in a decline. But they also had a legal battle there with the union that represents journalists. So they lost kind of a court case and a court battle something they were hoping to do to move down the road. And they say, we can't survive it, so they are shutting down. I don't know how they've survived this long three hundred and fifty million dollars in losses the past twenty years.

Speaker 1: They say, yeah, And that's another really sad sign of the times. But that is just the way things are aheaded. People aren't buying newspapers, they aren't reading magazines, they aren't watching broadcast news. So yes, everyone has to adjust, but it certainly is.

People all thought it was going to happen yesterday, right January seventh, and it didn't happen. It's not gonna happen, and it's not gonna happen.

Speaker 3: Because Netflix says that if you want to believe them, but they had to update. This all got confusing because they did have a promo for something else that went out. They put up on social media and it said January seventh, and I can't remember the language, but it wasn't a tease for Stranger Things. It was something else, completely different, and folks tried to piece it together and say, maybe there's another episode. They even have a name for the other episode. I didn't know where that came from, actually eight, but they thought the episode had a particular name. Even so, Netflix now is trying to make it clear the show was over, folks.

Speaker 1: Yeah, it was conformity gait or something was what they were trying to say, and it was something about January seventh and numerology, and I honestly I read it and read it five different times and laughed because I couldn't follow what the conspiracy or what the controversy or how people read between the lines.

Speaker 1: They said, how do I get off this Stranger Thing's finale fake out algorithm? Because it's really ruining the experience of what I considered to be an all time classic finale. And so if you were a huge fan of it, and you are, you know, everyone talks about the algorithms they're on on their social media. People were complaining that they were just getting inundated to the point where it was affecting their experience of the finale and putting it to rest.

I was a little hesitant, nervous at first about giving you this one was wondering what you were going to say. What I came around, you'll be okay, here's your quote. The wealthiest place on the planet is the graveyard because it's filled with hopes, aspirations, ideas and dreams never acted upon. It's that thought. I mean, I know this is from my pastor, but this idea that there is so much that just never you never pursue. There are great ideas that were never even tried. They were dreams never fulfilled or never even pursued. I love the idea that you go to a grave thing and you if you were able to, you can't ask all those people what didn't you do? What didn't you try? You would have so many ideas and things popping off. So the way he put it, the wealthiest place on the plant is the graveyard because yeah, it's full of rich, richness and ideas that nobody ever pursued. So just a reminder got to go for it.
