He just lost robes in this primary. And this is the prime here you go, prime example of how redistricting works in some folks favor. They redrew districts. Al Green had to then go run in a different district because he no longer could win in the one that was redrawn, So he had to go up against an incumbent black, young Democrat in the primary, and those two had to go head to head, and we just lost a black member of Congress, just like that boom with redistricting. And that is the point, all right.

Speaker 1: Next up on the run, Iran has accused the US of a grave violation of the ceasefire after the US launched what it called defensive strikes against Iranian targets yesterday. And this all comes as President Trump and Secretary of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, we're giving public signals that peace talks were moving along and that a deal could be close.

And this is so, and this is where it is beneficial sometimes to have the President have a direct link and to be able to speak directly to the public. Speaker 1: This is a headline for you. Biden is suing Trump kind of sort of. So the former president filed a lawsuit against the current president's Department of Justice. And what is former President Biden trying to do. He's trying to stop the DOJ from releasing audio recordings and transcripts from interviews he did for his twenty seventeen memoir.

Speaker 2: So the DJ ended up with these in their possession because it was part of their investigation into Biden's mishandling of classified materials. So they are sitting on what some Republicans might say a gold mine of material. Biden is now trying to keep that material out of the public's view, and yes, Republicans are chomping at the bit. This all happened at a paper mill in Longview, Washington. For just some perspective, it's about fifty miles north of Portland.

Speaker 2: And they say it has about a million gallons of in their words, highly corrosive chemicals, and they imploded and collapsed. You were reading into this yesterday, Rose, We were fascinated by the phrase they kept using to describe this stuff.

Speaker 1: Yeah. They described this chemical compound as white liquor, which I was making sure I read that correctly, because that just seemed like an odd choice of I guess it's the way they described this chemical that they used.

Speaker 2: But apparently it's a lot of it and it is awful and there are a number of injuries associated with it, including one firefighter. But Robes, as soon as this happened, they're going to start back up this morning with their work. But Robes they immediately said that there is no chance of rescue.

Speaker 1: And meanwhile, evacuation orders have been lifted for the tens of thousands of people who fled a southern California neighborhood because of a damaged chemical tank. Firefighters have been working since last week to stabilize that tank at a garden grove plant after it started to overheat.

Speaker 1: This is an incredibly disturbing story out of Phoenix. Want to warn you before you hear it. Police say thirty eight year old Andrea Clarice Davis murdered her two children and then took her own life after firing shots at her husband and another woman who was with him at a bar. Davis's husband told police his wife came into that bar began to fire shots at him and the unidentified thirty six year old woman. That woman was hit and transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Speaker 2: So but then here comes some of the absolutely incomprehensible details. Police say. Davis's husband then received a text from his wife that she was going to harm the children, but then followed up with a photo of one of their kids bleeding. Police arrived at the Davis home to find a ten year old and an eighteen month old dead, and Andrea Davis dead from gunshot wounds. Police say there are no prior reports of domestic violence or any known prior issues with the family.

Next up on the run, a prominent international aid organization is now warning the Ebola outbreak is spreading faster than responders can contain it and is set to become what they're saying is the deadliest on record without urgent international action robes.

Speaker 1: Honors, not less, exactly, okay, and the latest numbers continue to rise. Speaking to that, there are now more than one thousand suspected cases and at least two hundred and thirty three deaths, but they suspect that's much much higher. And here at home right now, the CDC looking for volunteers among its staff to send them to airports now for ebola screenings here in the US.

You go, your whole lives and maybe your whole career, don't get a chance to deal with something like this. It's not fun necessarily for them, but this is what they sign up for. So DA just announced that JFK is being added to the list of designated airports with ebola screenings, and that now includes Dulls Hartsville Jackson in Atlanta, and George Bush Airport in Houston. The Times New York Times reporting Trump administration plans to keep any Americans exposed to ebola out of the country, setting up a facility in Kenya where American citizens can be quarantined or treated. Wow.

But on Tuesday, both Canada and the Bahamas followed the United States. They also have announced temporary bans for residents coming in from the DRC Uganda and South Sudan are trying to enter either country. Canada has a ninety day ban, the Bahamas has a thirty day ban.

Next up on the run, rescue operations for the seven missing villagers trapped in a cave and loos had to be suspended once again late last night because of heavy rains. Rescuers believe this is according to Thai PBS. This is the public broadcasting service out of Thailand.

After installing more pumps and communication lines. This is possible work, it seems when you see some of this video. The rescue teams have been able to install internet to transmit live images from the operation site to help improve coordination and rescue efforts. Rescuers are literally crawling through passages as narrow as twenty inches wide, diving through underwater sections robes. I know you've seen this video as well as crazy. I salute you these rescuers, not just the skill, but just the nerve it takes to do.

But he remained a prominent proponent until the very end. He was even making comments just in the past few weeks robes about what's happening at this administration. He was still chiming in at the age of ninety five, but he played a major role in organizing the nineteen sixty three March on Washington, and yes, he was part of a small group that constructed the King speech and robes A reminder, a history reminder here. The name of that speech that we all know is the I Have a Dream Speech was put together and it was called Normalcy. Never again, I had no idea. It was the title and Clarence B. Jones spoke of The speech wasn't a big deal because we had so much in terms of logistics to put together the march. We were too busy. The speech wasn't a big deal, so King, they put this thing together. King, he saw him literally move mo the speech to the side. All that I have a dream stuff was totally ad lived. Why yeah, okay, wow, I just got isn't that fun? Remember that?

Police say thirty eight year old Andrea Clarice Davis murdered her two children and then took her own life after firing shots at her husband and another woman who was with him at a bar. Davis's husband told police his wife came into that bar began to fire shots at him and the unidentified thirty six year old woman. That woman was hit and transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Davis's husband then received a text from his wife that she was going to harm the children, but then followed up with a photo of one of their kids bleeding. Police arrived at the Davis home to find a ten year old and an eighteen month old dead, and Andrea Davis dead from gunshot wounds. Police say there are no prior reports of domestic violence or any known prior issues with the family.

He was still chiming in at the age of ninety five, but he played a major role in organizing the nineteen sixty three March on Washington, and yes, he was part of a small group that constructed the King speech and robes A reminder, a history reminder here.
