Get into that of course here in just a second. But the Run on this Monday is going to take us to Milan as well, gonna take us to DC, to Tucson for an update, and also to Florida. But yes, let's begin, Robes and Santa Clara, California, Super Bowl sixty is done. The final score twenty nine to thirteen. Quite frankly, it wasn't that close that it wasn't even that and that's not a close score, but it wasn't. It was dominant from the jump to the point I said, Robes, where we're gonna we're gonna be able to leave here.

But again, it was just Seattle put on an all time historic performance in this Super Bowl to the point in the first they could have had a chance to set a different wreck, but it was garbage time. The game was over in the third quarter, so it was just garbage time. They only had seventy five yards the Patriots did after three freakin' quarters. That's a domination and that's impressive and we should celebrate that.

She just danced along with the rest of them. I just knew she was gonna do that song. I like it like that. Nothing she gave us nothing. It would have been awesome the other awesome part of it, and it might have really been the highlight now that we've learned it was actually a real wedding that took place at the super Bowl halftime show. They said bad Bunny. Yes, actually served as a witness and signed the official marriage certificate of the two people in the middle of that performance who had invited him to their wedding at some point, and now he turns around and invites them to have their wedding at the Super Bowl halftime show. Is there any way you say no to that. Oh, my family's not going to be able to be there. They'll see it. So that was certainly a highlight. He did not sing in any English last night, but he did have some great English moments. God bless America. He talked the football say together, we are in America. Together in America. He just he didn't He's sang the entire time in Spanish, which I appreciated. The only English singing came from Lady Gaga, which was a wonderful rendition makes sense of that song. But as much as we love the show, we loved and we need to say the kid we saw down there was not who a lot of people thought. It was not little Liam from Minneapolis. This was an actor that he handed his Grammy.

Speaker 1: Yes, halftime counter programming was delivered as promise. Kid Rock headlined the all American halftime show. There were some country music singers that followed as well. After Kirk, kid Rock's performance, Turning Point USA posted a tribute to Charlie Kirk dedicated the show to him. But a lot of people were speculating, we still don't really know what it was this thirteen minutes that people saw. Was it pre recorded? It was unclear who was in attendance. Tickets were not available to the public, there was no location. No one even knew where the event was held, so a lot of mystery in that, but they did say that the show got around five million viewers on YouTube, so they.

Speaker 1: Quickly, and coming up a little later on the podcast, we'll get into the Super Bowl ads. We had a tough time seeing them, but the ones that we did see were memorable.

Speaker 2: Yes, we have some obvious favorites. We'll get into those, but let's continue on this morning run. Now we're going to head to Italy more athletic competition, the Olympics of course taking place there. All eyes were on Lindsey Vond But she is now, we can tell you, in stable condition, recovering from surgery after breaking her left leg in that devastating crash yesterday. She was just thirteen seconds into her downhill run when she lost control mid air, tumbled head first into that snow. She ended up breaking her leg on the landing. Now, the doctors many are looking at this and saying, I know what you're thinking, but it's not related to the ACL injury. It's hard for us slay people to understand how she could break the same leg just so happens on this run, but they say it's not connected. They do believe. But yet she ruptured that ACL nine days before the started, her pole and shoulder caught a gate near the top of the mountain, spinning her sideway, sitting her tumbling off that course. Her teammate Breezy Johnson ended up winning gold in the event, and I thought she was really cool in some of the comments that she made after. She was in tears of course for her own victory, but everybody was thinking about Lindsay.

Speaker 1: Oh yes they were, and she it was not lost on her that this is the first time an American takes home the gold in downhill skiing in sixteen years, and the last person to do so was Lindsay Vaughn. So Johnson had this to say about her win and von She said, Lindsay has accomplished so much and will live in a different echelon than I do. But I think that to have your name alongside hers is really something special. And she did wish her well and said she hopes this isn't it for Lindsay Vaughn. She hopes this is just a setback, but Lindsay's forty one was attempting to become the oldest person to meddle in the Olympics in an alpine event, and look Breezy had a similar story. I had forgotten this, but in twenty twenty two she had to drop out of Beijing because she tore her acl and had to spend an entire year recovering, which is likely what Lindsay is on track to do.

Speaker 2: It is a brutal, brutal sport. But congrats to her and everybody thinking and hoping Lindsay's gonna be okay. I can't wait to hear from her and see her continue on the run. Here now will stay in Italy where the second medal, the second gold medal, I should say for Team USA was a nail biter. This was you can't get closer than this competition was and this was the figure skating team competition came down to one skater, and thank goodness, it was this guy, the quad god, twenty one year old Ilia Malanin. He delivered his signature quadruple axle and then landed a backflip on one leg. I didn't know this new.

Speaker 2: So he comes in and does his hell of a routine, ends up helping the US win by a point over Japan. Sixty nine for the US, sixty eight for Japan. Now, this was a big, big deal in the cool story because he was not supposed to skate and say, hey, you need me, I'll be there.

Speaker 1: He didn't want to skate in the team competition because he wanted to rest up, we understand for his all important individual men's event that happens tomorrow night on Tuesday. So his coaches felt the same way. They're like, do not risk injury or any issue, do not skate. However, the US Figure Skating called him up Saturday night, isn't that so cool? And said, hey, this is going to be too close and we will lose without you. Possibly we need you, And so he said, I had to say yes at that point, and then it was really cute.

Speaker 1: Was absolutely, this is definitely the smartest decision I've ever made. He got his first gold medal, this is his Olympics debut, and to know that he was the reason why they got it is pretty damn cool.

Speaker 2: There you go, folks, team above all else. I mean, who knows what's going to happen in the other but this will still be more valuable than the gold medal prompt if he gets it. Continuing here, now, President why did I almost say President Bush? President Trump was busy. I think the busiest throwing me man. We are exhausted. So President Trump was busy. On true social of course we're talking about he called out bad Bunny for the halftime show. Then he called out one of our olympians, called him out as a loser, Roodes. I can't make okay, fine, we're talking about Hunter Hess. Every Olympian almost has been asked at some point about representing the US while all is going on in the US having to do with the administration, having to do with what we're seeing in Minnesota. So he was asked and he gave an answer. The President didn't like the answer, so he responded with this on true social US Olympic skier Hunter hess a real loser, says he doesn't represent his country in the current Winter Olympics. If that's the case, he shouldn't have tried out for the team. It's too bad he's on it very hard to root for someone like this. Obviously that's a misrepresentation, is what the young fellow said.

Speaker 1: Exactly, because yes, to your point, he was asked a specific question. Everyone knows about what's happening on in Minneapolis, Like the world is watching what's going on in our country, so they're like, given all the domestic strife, how do you feel about representing your country? And here's his response, It's a little hard. There's obviously a lot going on that I'm not the biggest fan of, and I think a lot of people aren't. I think for me, it's more I'm representing my friends and family back home, and the people that represented me before are represented before me, and all the things that I believe are good about the US. If it aligns with my moral values, I feel like I'm representing it. Just because I'm wearing the flag doesn't mean I represent everything that's going on in the US.

If this has been taken. And some of the MAGA folks are saying that Olympians should be kicked out, should be brought back home. We will get into that on the feed a little later, but that's something continue on the run here now we need to head out to Tucson Nancy Guthrie. That investigation continues, still looking for answers when the second full week of this now there is another deadline today outlined in one of the recent ransom notes that were delivered to a TV station. The sheriff still saying, we do not have a suspect, We do not have a person of interest, they said. They are continuing to go through vehicles identify They continue to go through the homes as well, but the work continues. Over the weekend, they spend hours searching in and around Nancy Guthrie's home as well as the home of Annie Guthrie. These homes are just about four miles apart.

Speaker 1: So the Annie Guthrie search happened shortly after she sat down with her siblings, Cameron and Savannah. They posted another video over the weekend, and this video was directly aimed at their mom's kidnappers. A lot of people have made note that it sounds like maybe they have gotten proof of life or there's some sort of communication that's going on behind the scenes, because we hear Savannah saying, we received your message and we understand. She says, this is very valuable to us. We will pay. So everyone's still waiting for word on what may happen next in this very disturbing and puzzling story.

Speaker 2: All right, continuing on the run. Here now a major update in another mystery, this one having to do with the death of Anna Kepner. We have gotten word now that the eighteen year old who was found asphyxiated aboard a Carnival cruise ship in November, that the death well, they're now saying that it was in fact her stepbrother, sixteen year old stepbrother, who is responsible. And we're getting this word from the family robes, not officially from the courts, because we are dealing with a minor here, but the family says he has been arrested and charged in connection with her death. The court records are sealed, authorities not allowed to discuss the case, but the family came out with a pretty, i guess strong, but pretty unmistakable statement of what's taking place.

Speaker 1: Yes, this is coming from Anna Kepner's father and her stepmother, who happens to be the mother, the biological mother of the sixteen year old stepbrother. So this has got to be incredibly difficult. We'll read a part of their statement. They say they believe in accountability and in the importance of justice being carried out. Our daughter deserves justice, her life deserves to be honored through a full and legal process.

Speaker 1: It is deeply painful and disturbing to our family that the person responsible is able to walk freely. This reality adds to our grief and outrage. It is devastating to know that while we live every day with the loss of our child, the individual responsible has not yet fully been held accountable. They went on to say that during this investigation, we were advised by the FBI to remain quiet. We respected that request out of trust in the process. But they say However, as grieving parents, we can no longer remain silent, and they want to make sure that her death is that there is justice for her death, which means her stepbrother and according to the family, he has been released. He was charged and released to a guardian of some kind, but we hope to get more details on that soon.

Speaker 2: The absolute but still my favorite butt and men's butts. There was a whole ad about prostate cancer screenings and they use like very famous Pro Bowl type NFL tight ends. The idea was talking about tight ends. You've never seen a tight end so relaxed, a tight end so relaxed, And the play on it was the butt can relax because you don't have to use that type of prostate cancer screening anymore. Funny is all get out.

So for the final leg of our run, as expected, the weekend box office took a major hit as all eyes focused on the big game. Super Bowl weekend. I guess I didn't realize this, but it makes a lot of sense. Is almost always one of, if not the lowest attended movie going weekends all year long, and that proved to be true as well again this year. A survival horror thriller film which I'm dying to see, send Help State on top, bringing in another ten million dollars. So it's brought in now thirty five point eight million which is pretty awesome for a horror movie.

Speaker 2: And then at number two was a movie I didn't know about it. I kind of want to see solo meo. Yes, Kevin j I actually like Kevin James. But yeah, it's about a guy there I love. It's dumped by his fiance but he still goes through with the honeymoon in Rome.

Iron Long, which did gangbusters last week it's surprise hit, made another six point seven But then Milania, which was all the talk class well a lot of the talk last week, had a surprise number three debut, fell in pretty stark dramatic fashion, but it's ended up number ten for the week, but made another two point three million dollars.
