Look, they are warning us about this storm, and they've been warning us all week about We're talking the majority of the Americans are under a serious winter weather threat right now, and it's going to continue ropes through Monday.

Speaker 1: We tend to order in especially when it's this cold, like grocery delivery. But I can only imagine what so many grocery stores look like across the country as people are preparing for the worst, as we're being told to do so to get supplies, to be ready to not leave your home.

Speaker 2: And this doesn't feel like a crime situation. Right These models have been coming together. But we're going to give you the latest of what the national Weather Service, and we're going to quote them directly here in just a moment. But the maps I've been seeing robes and it seems odd, But the best way to describe it. If you're looking at a map of the United States, take a pink fat crayon and draw from New Mexico to New York, and that is this wide swath of weather that's coming. That's the best way to put it. So we're talking about the South, We're talking Atlanta, North Carolinlina, We're talking up to Detroit. Everybody's being hit by this thing. So folks, you have to take it seriously. The National Weather Service causes a lengthy and highly disruptive storm that is going to bring, in their words, significant snow and treacherous ice. And they give us a breakdown robes Friday, Friday night and the city's impact on Saturdays. So it was so good that we we are going to share their word to give you an update exactly where we are with this storm.

Speaker 1: Yes, on Friday, snow, sleep, freezing rain will increase late morning early afternoon. We're talking about the plains, parts of Kansas, Oklahoma, northern and western Texas, parts of Arkansas. These are places that are not used to seeing snow, sleet and freezing rain. And then on Friday night, that wintry mess will continue to sag south, so the southern plains, the lower Mississippi Valley and then spread east to Tennessee, Alabama. So the cities that are impacted on Friday and Friday night Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Dallas, Austin, Kansas City, Little Rock, Shreveport, Memphis, and Nashville.

Speaker 2: The National Weather Service continues telling us Saturday there words snow, sleet, and ice could sink even a bit farther south in Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, while it picks up in Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and parts of the Carolinas. The cities impacted during the day on Saturday Albuquerque, Lubbock, Oklahoma City, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Little Rock, s Freeport, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Asheville, Charlotte, Raleigh, Roanoke, and Richmond. Then they go into Saturday night.

They say snow may spread into the mid Atlantic States then and intensify while continuing farther west and into the mid Mississippi Valley, the Ozarks, parts of Oklahoma and Texas, and the latest models, they say, show that it's pushed to the northern ends, the snow falls to the parts of the Great Lakes. So we're talking about the cities impacted on Saturday night, Houston, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Little Rock, Shreveport, Jackson, Mississippi, Sorry, Memphis, Nashville, Knoxville, Charlotte, Greenville, Spartanburg, Richmond, Washington, d C, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, Chicago, and Indianapolis.

Speaker 2: And then they go into Sunday, saying wintry precipitation will end in Texas, Oklahoma, and the lower Mississippi Valley by midday Sunday, but will persist from the Great Lakes through the Ohio Valley to the Piedmont of Virginia and the Carolinas into the northeast. The northeast is beginning to expect more heavy snowfalls. Snow and wind may persist in the Northeast Sunday night into Monday morning before yes ending sometime on Monday, and the city's impacted are all over the place on Sunday would include everywhere from Atlanta all the way up through Boston for the most part. Everybody needs to be on alert roped. We are all preparing here in the Northeast. They're talking about a foot to a foot and a half snow in New York so and the temperatures aren't going to get above freezing for days and days, so that means all this stuff is going to be piled up. You got black ice to deal with, and they are preparing us for what this is going to be a rough one and the ice they're talking about in some places an inch thick.

Speaker 1: All right, but we begin our run in Davos. President Trump and the Ukrainian President Zelenski are going to meet in Switzerland today. There has not been a lot of talk, a lot of movement there with the Russia Ukraine war, but there is hope that that could move forward with this meeting with President Trump and President Zelenski, and there's also some movement in Russia.

Speaker 2: I Meanwhile, the allies excuse me, the US envoys I have been dispatched that we heading to Moscow today expected to have a meeting with President Putin there. Continuing on the run here now and still staying in dabbles after insults, tariffs, and the threat of military force. The Greenland drama could be calming, But is it over? President Trump announced it there is quote a framework of a deal on Greenland that will be great for everybody. We don't have the details, but he did say we will get them soon.

Speaker 1: One of the other big headlines that accompanied the no military force is that he and this potential deal is that he has canceled those tariffs that he said he was imposing on eight countries in Europe, most of them all of them are Allies, and that was supposed to set start or begin on February first. So he's canceled those tariffs and Jade Vance. We have Whitcough and Marco Rubio handling the negotiations to hammer out the details of this deal, which we are expecting to hear all about in the coming days. In the meantime, though, the big headline this morning, you're waking up to a not guilty verdict. A Uvalde school police officer was acquitted last night on charges he failed to act during the twenty twenty two mass shooting there at rob Elementary School. Adrian Gonza was one of the first officers on the scene there, but he did not engage the shooter. In fact, the shooter, according to witness testimony, had not even entered the school at the time Gonzales arrived there on the scene.

Speaker 2: Gonzalez is the first of two officers who are going to be facing charges and facing trial in connection to that shooting. Gonzalez was facing twenty nine counts of child in endangerment for the nineteen kids that were killed and then another ten that were injured. The jury took seven hours to deliberate, but delivered that verdict last night. There will be another officer to be tried. This other officer is the chief or was the chief of police for the Uvalde School District.

Speaker 1: All right. Next up on the Run, the House is moving forward withholding the Clintons in criminal contempt of Congress. The Oversight Committee voted yesterday to approve that resolution to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt for defying a subpoena to testify in person.

Speaker 2: And this has everything to do with the work the Oversight Committee has been doing, they say, in their probe of the Epstein filed and that investigation. Some Democrats did vote with Republicans to move this resolution forward. It now goes to the full House. Even if the House votes to yes hold them in criminal contempt, the Justice Department would then have to ultimately make a decision about whether or not to bring criminal charges. Your guests as to whether or not this DJ would pursue that or.

Speaker 1: Next up on the Run, the Department of Homeland Security announced a new immigration operation, this time in Maine. DHS says they arrested I'm quoting them here, arrested illegal aliens convicted of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child. This was just on day one of the operation, which they have dubbed Catch of the Day. DHS pointed to Maine's Democratic governor, Janet Mills and her fellow sanctuary politicians as the reason why this new operation was necessary.

Speaker 2: They had no timeline for how long ICE agents plan to be in that state, but the deputy director for ICE says they plan on targeting about fourteen hundred people. The governor there said about the Feds, if your plan is to come here, to be provocative and to undermine the civil rights of main residents, don't be confused. Those tactics are not welcome here. We shall see yes.

Speaker 1: Indeed, next up on the Run, a newly released autopsy report shows a Cuban detainee being held at an ICE facility in Texas died by homicide. The medical examiner's report directly contradicts what federal officials have said. ICE officials said the man was attempting suicide at the facility and the staff was trying to save him. Witnesses tell another story.

Speaker 2: Those witnesses say he was handcuffed as several guards held him down while one put an arm around his neck and squeezed him until he was unconscious. The autopsy show signs of a struggle with abrasions on his chest and knees, with hemorrhages on his neck as cause of death listed as afphixia due to neck and torsol compression. Homeland Securities official statement saying that he violently resisted that the security staff and continued to attempt to take his life, and during the ensuing struggle, Campos stopped breathing and lost consciousness.

Speaker 2: Continue on the run here now, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and the ladies of the view. Now all these folks have been put on official notice, I should say by the FCC that they might need to give equal time to opposing political candidate. Now a lot of you all are familiar with this equal time rule that means that when you're on TV a news organization, you can't just let one side speak. You have to get both sides of an issue. However, that rule doesn't apply to a non news show like a late night show or a daytime show, where you see regularly politicians make one off appearances.

Speaker 1: Yeah, like a candid, kind of fun, lighthearted, less serious appearance. But the FCC has now put out a four page memo. This happened yesterday and it outlined how late night shows and daytime talk shows are not exempt. So the FCC chair Brendan Carr put this out on x Here's what he wrote. For years, legacy TV networks assumed that their late night and daytime talk shows qualify as bona fide news programs, even when motivated by purely partisan political purposes. Today, the FCC reminded them of their obligation to provide all candidates with equal opportunities. This would dramatically change the landscape of talk shows and nighttime shows.

Speaker 2: Just with that in mind, friendly reminder is all. It was God Jay Lenard retire. It was twenty twenty six or twenty sixteen. He did the interview with who Is It Schwartzenegger. I want to say with Schortzenegger. He did it with a politician and it was looked into. A complaint was filed, but the rule was then applied by the SEC saying no, it's a late night show, is not a news show. What the SCC is now doing is send that press that was set. We are not going to stick to it, is what the argument is. So we shall see where this goes. But they have now put on paper their justification for possibly going after these shows. We continue here on this Thursday morning run and you might have heard recently air Force one is old decades old, and the same one that President Trump is flying on, the same one that George Herbert walker Bush used all those years ago, and there was a minor electrical issue on the way to Davos. You might have heard that the President had to turn around after taking off because when an electric issue. So the focus robes, as we said, has been on how old these planes are will lo and behold check this out. Might be a replacement plane ready by this summer, because the Wall Street Journal is now reporting that the brand new four hundred million dollars jet gifted to the US from the Katari royal family is going to be good to go by this summer.

So that's a pretty big headline that by summer there will be a new Air Force One. Next up on the run, we will head across the Pond where Prince Harry was on the witness stand yesterday giving what's been described as emotional testimony.

But the name of the organization is the Associated Newspapers Limited. But the allegations here that they spied on celebs, you're not talking about just hide in bushes, but these folks who are accused of tapping into these celebrities phones, hacking into their phones, getting medical and financial record. So I didn't see when this would all wrap up and what the conclusion will be will be announced. But Prince Harry has won in court before, and going after tabloids this is not something royal family necessarily usually does, so he broke with that tradition. But he's been winning and it's important enough to him.

One artist in particular has been playing all morning for very good reason, because this artist just broke a record and has become the first ever to have an album that has surpassed forty million sold. I think most people listening, it's only a few people you could come up with. I think people would nail this.

Speaker 1: One maybe, But it's interesting when you hear what album it's surpassed. That might have been people's first guest. But the Eagles, the greatest hits nineteen seventy one to nineteen seventy five is who we're talking about. And yes, listening to that album this morning just took me right back to my childhood and honestly, in most of my life I have been listening to the Eagles NonStop. And it came out in February of nineteen seventy six, so wow, we're just at about exactly fifty years. It was certified forty million units were sold, and that's how they measure sales and the streaming equivalent, I believe. But it has surpassed for now what the number two album was. I think this one is a pretty easy guess.

So however they do it fine, they figured it out. But that's just a hell of an accomplishment, and Thriller is kind of way behind. They're not going to actually catch So congrats to them. We don't get to hear enough about her. She's for so long icon for just being quiet. Essentially, we see, seen and not heard. She's a delight. I love, love, love this one.

Speaker 1: Next up on the Run, this is a crazy story. A former flight attendant has been arrested. Authority say he posed as a pilot and an airline employee, and by doing so, was able to fool at least three different airlines into giving him hundreds of free tickets over the course of four years.

Speaker 2: Dallas Pacornick. He's thirty three years old, he's from Toronto. He was picked up though in Panama for an arrest warrant that's in Hawaii, to just let you know. The guy gets around. So really, industry experts are baffled. How inn actual hell can this be possible for an industry whose only job these days is to make sure you're safe. So this guy, they say, used a fake credential. So he's a former flight attendant, so he had an old and a fake credential that he kept using to buy tickets that are reserved for airline employees, and you can also get those jump seats and all this stuff. So he used this for years. Folks, he's flying maybe on it your plane for free, and he has not been screened and he should not be there. The big question here robes. You know, some jump seats are in the cockpit.

This one for you today Robes quote, ask yourself where you want to be in five years, but then resist the urge to have an answer. Huh, don't isn't not the stupidest question ever? There are courses that prepare you for this question when you go into interviews. Where do you see yourself in five years? I don't freaking know well, I'm saying the point of the quote, and people think differently about it. But why the other parts? People say, write your goals down in pencil, like, don't be inflexible. If the place you want to be in five you might not work out. You might be in a better place. But we get disappointed if the plan doesn't work out exactly and we end up somewhere else. Resist the urge. I love this quote. Can't remember where I got it, but it spoke to me in that way. Just resist the urge to yeah, this is it. Other people have plans. I want to be president, I want to make it to the NBA. You've reached your goals, great, but for most people five years you have nowhere. Think right now, where'd you say five years ago you wanted to be in five Pretty sure it wasn't sitting in this room doing a podcast with this guy.

Speaker 1: One of the other big headlines that accompanied the no military force is that he and this potential deal is that he has canceled those tariffs that he said he was imposing on eight countries in Europe, most of them all of them are Allies, and that was supposed to set start or begin on February first. So he's canceled those tariffs and Jade Vance. We have Whitcough and Marco Rubio handling the negotiations to hammer out the details of this deal, which we are expecting to hear all about in the coming days. In the meantime, though, the big headline this morning, you're waking up to a not guilty verdict. A Uvalde school police officer was acquitted last night on charges he failed to act during the twenty twenty two mass shooting there at rob Elementary School. Adrian Gonza was one of the first officers on the scene there, but he did not engage the shooter. In fact, the shooter, according to witness testimony, had not even entered the school at the time Gonzales arrived there on the scene.

Speaker 2: Gonzalez is the first of two officers who are going to be facing charges and facing trial in connection to that shooting. Gonzalez was facing twenty nine counts of child in endangerment for the nineteen kids that were killed and then another ten that were injured. The jury took seven hours to deliberate, but delivered that verdict last night. There will be another officer to be tried. This other officer is the chief or was the chief of police for the Uvalde School District.

Speaker 1: All right. Next up on the Run, the House is moving forward withholding the Clintons in criminal contempt of Congress. The Oversight Committee voted yesterday to approve that resolution to hold Bill and Hillary Clinton in contempt for defying a subpoena to testify in person.

Speaker 2: And this has everything to do with the work the Oversight Committee has been doing, they say, in their probe of the Epstein filed and that investigation. Some Democrats did vote with Republicans to move this resolution forward. It now goes to the full House. Even if the House votes to yes hold them in criminal contempt, the Justice Department would then have to ultimately make a decision about whether or not to bring criminal charges. Your guests as to whether or not this DJ would pursue that or.

Speaker 1: Next up on the Run, the Department of Homeland Security announced a new immigration operation, this time in Maine. DHS says they arrested I'm quoting them here, arrested illegal aliens convicted of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, and endangering the welfare of a child. This was just on day one of the operation, which they have dubbed Catch of the Day. DHS pointed to Maine's Democratic governor, Janet Mills and her fellow sanctuary politicians as the reason why this new operation was necessary.

Speaker 2: They had no timeline for how long ICE agents plan to be in that state, but the deputy director for ICE says they plan on targeting about fourteen hundred people. The governor there said about the Feds, if your plan is to come here, to be provocative and to undermine the civil rights of main residents, don't be confused. Those tactics are not welcome here. Speaker 1: Indeed, next up on the Run, a newly released autopsy report shows a Cuban detainee being held at an ICE facility in Texas died by homicide. The medical examiner's report directly contradicts what federal officials have said. ICE officials said the man was attempting suicide at the facility and the staff was trying to save him. Witnesses tell another story.

Speaker 2: Those witnesses say he was handcuffed as several guards held him down while one put an arm around his neck and squeezed him until he was unconscious. The autopsy show signs of a struggle with abrasions on his chest and knees, with hemorrhages on his neck as cause of death listed as afphixia due to neck and torsol compression. Homeland Securities official statement saying that he violently resisted that the security staff and continued to attempt to take his life, and during the ensuing struggle, Campos stopped breathing and lost consciousness.

Now all these folks have been put on official notice, I should say by the FCC that they might need to give equal time to opposing political candidate. Now a lot of you all are familiar with this equal time rule that means that when you're on TV a news organization, you can't just let one side speak. You have to get both sides of an issue. However, that rule doesn't apply to a non news show like a late night show or a daytime show, where you see regularly politicians make one off appearances.

Speaker 1: Yeah, like a candid, kind of fun, lighthearted, less serious appearance. But the FCC has now put out a four page memo. This happened yesterday and it outlined how late night shows and daytime talk shows are not exempt. So the FCC chair Brendan Carr put this out on x Here's what he wrote. For years, legacy TV networks assumed that their late night and daytime talk shows qualify as bona fide news programs, even when motivated by purely partisan political purposes. Today, the FCC reminded them of their obligation to provide all candidates with equal opportunities. This would dramatically change the landscape of talk shows and nighttime shows.

But the allegations here that they spied on celebs, you're not talking about just hide in bushes, but these folks who are accused of tapping into these celebrities phones, hacking into their phones, getting medical and financial record. So I didn't see when this would all wrap up and what the conclusion will be will be announced. But Prince Harry has won in court before, and going after tabloids this is not something royal family necessarily usually does, so he broke with that tradition. But he's been winning and it's important enough to him.

And it came out in February of nineteen seventy six, so wow, we're just at about exactly fifty years. It was certified forty million units were sold, and that's how they measure sales and the streaming equivalent, I believe. But it has surpassed for now what the number two album was. So really, industry experts are baffled. How inn actual hell can this be possible for an industry whose only job these days is to make sure you're safe. So this guy, they say, used a fake credential. So he's a former flight attendant, so he had an old and a fake credential that he kept using to buy tickets that are reserved for airline employees, and you can also get those jump seats and all this stuff. So he used this for years. Folks, he's flying maybe on it your plane for free, and he has not been screened and he should not be there. The big question here robes. You know, some jump seats are in the cockpit.

There are courses that prepare you for this question when you go into interviews. Where do you see yourself in five years? I don't freaking know well, I'm saying the point of the quote, and people think differently about it. But why the other parts? People say, write your goals down in pencil, like, don't be inflexible. If the place you want to be in five you might not work out. You might be in a better place. But we get disappointed if the plan doesn't work out exactly and we end up somewhere else. Resist the urge. I love this quote. Can't remember where I got it, but it spoke to me in that way. Just resist the urge to yeah, this is it. Other people have plans. I want to be president, I want to make it to the NBA. You've reached your goals, great, but for most people five years you have nowhere.
