There's been a long week, rough week of a pretty terrible headlines. We want to at least let you know We're going to keep things a little looser today, and you know what, after the break is gonna be nothing but news that makes you smile. Good, So we're just gonna reserve that last block just with things that'll make you smile.

But yes, on the run this morning, we are gonna be making stops at the White House in Minneapolis, as well as Birmingham, Alabama, Columbus, Ohio, Dayton, Ohio, Greenville, North Carolina, and Tulsa, Oklahoma very particular reason. Some of those cities might sound like they all go together for a particular reason. It'll make sense here shortly.

Speaker 1: My apologies, all right, First up, we're gonna head to Minneapolis. We have been heading to Minneapoli quite a bit this week. But yeah, somebody or a group of people, it sounds like, stole the FBI's stuff. Probably not a good time or place to be stealing things from the FBI. And guess what, the FBI really really wants their stuff back.

Speaker 3: Yeah, I wonder what it was worth, because they're offering a one hundred thousand dollars reward for information leading to whomever vandalized several FBI vehicles and stole the equipment. And then yes, they do want the equipment back. It happened on Wednesday night in the north part of nor of Minneapolis, where they have been having some problems with. This is a part of the clashes. We have seen some vandalism. We have seen federal vehicles attacked, spray painted things on, classes broken out, and now possibly things stolen. But this adds to really a bit of the chaos on the streets.

Speaker 1: Yeah, the FBI says dozens of protesters smashed into their vehicles too, unmarked FBI vehicles and took out some large lock box. So whatever is inside that container, we don't know, but it's coveted, and certainly the clashes continued overnight.

Speaker 1: But now that there have been two shootings, of course, one fatal in a span of seven eight days. Yes, the rioting, I shouldn't say rioting, but the protesting has continued, and certainly they have been in moments heated, throwing things at officers, fireworks, rocks, ice, snow, the ice workers putting tear gas out into the crowds to disperse them. It's just been a messy, messy scene. And there's this viral video now out there of Aleah Rahman being forcibly taken from her vehicle. She says she was on her way to a doctor's appointment for a traumatic brain injury and she was yanked out of her car. And when you see how she was removed and how she was forcibly removed, it is disturbing to watch.

Speaker 3: Well, a lot of those scenes are playing out on social media right now. Meanwhile, the president on social media as well, he did threaten to invoke the Insurrection Act, which would allow him to send in troops to essentially stop any type of uprising and insurrection if you will. It has been used by presidents in the past but not quite in this type of manner. Also of note, Governor Tim Waltz did put out a statement he's been calling for calm there but says he and the President have not spoken. Says he's reached out but hasn't heard back, and that's where we are.

Speaker 1: Who That's tough, all right. We'll keep you updated on that situation throughout the day. But next up on the run the United States versus Iran, and it played out in New York. The envoys for each country faced off in a UN Security Council meeting.

They say they are using that to use the people essentially right now for justification for bombing Roan demonstrations ringwhile have calmed on the streets now, you can say they've just slowed down, or you can say the regime has done what it planned to do, which was to quiet people. But estimates right now from human rights groups say about twenty seven hundred people have died in those demonstrations, all right, next up.

She won the award just a few months ago, dedicated it to President Trump almost immediately, but now officially handed it over in a framed plaque gorgeous fit for the White House, and the White House took a picture of that presentation, Yes.

Speaker 3: And the picture came out some hours after that meeting. This was what the meeting in large part was about, but also about her making her case, pitching herself to be the leader of Venezuela, and she would probably need President Trump's support. She was, of course, the opposition leader who has been in hiding really for the past year, but she has come out now since Maduro has well got got by the US. She left the White House. She didn't leave empty handed. Don't know what was in the bag, but it was a Donald Trump swag bag. Don't know what was in it. A reminder, you can't just give away the prize. You can give away the physical medal, but he is not officially the Nobel Prize Laureate for last Yes.

And this is another mess with this gambling and sports. Another major scandal going on here, this one involved mostly college players. Is a major point shaving scandal that involved at least seventeen college teams dozens of games over two seasons. None in the current season, however, but at least twenty six people have been arrested and died. At twenty of them are current or former players. A couple of them play currently this season on teams and have been playing in the past week. One of them was a preseason Conference player of the Year for Conference USA Kennesaw State. He's averaging twenty a game. This is a mess, and they are accused in this scandal of essentially fixers finding the right athletes, offering college kids ten to thirty grand to underperform and then better were making millions off of these games.

Verizon has announced it's going to give US customers twenty bucks to make up for that massive service outage this week, so you can log on to your app to redeem. I actually just tried, but well, this is the irony of all ironies with my Verizon.

And I know that I can speak to that. In my early days, I was so afraid of messing up. I was so afraid of getting it wrong, of saying the wrong thing, or saying it not exactly the way I was supposed to. It hindered me. And like that is one of the beautiful things about getting older. You do feel this freedom and this knowledge based on experience. It making mistakes is actually a good thing.

And this is another mess with this gambling and sports. Another major scandal going on here, this one involved mostly college players. Is a major point shaving scandal that involved at least seventeen college teams dozens of games over two seasons. None in the current season, however, but at least twenty six people have been arrested and died. At twenty of them are current or former players. A couple of them play currently this season on teams and have been playing in the past week. One of them was a preseason Conference player of the Year for Conference USA Kennesaw State. He's averaging twenty a game. This is a mess, and they are accused in this scandal of essentially fixers finding the right athletes, offering college kids ten to thirty grand to underperform and then better were making millions off of these games.

But man, I'm picking up skills and I'm getting ahead, and wish I'd have done this years and years and years ago.

And I know that I can speak to that. In my early days, I was so afraid of messing up. I was so afraid of getting it wrong, of saying the wrong thing, or saying it not exactly the way I was supposed to. It hindered me. And like that is one of the beautiful things about getting older. You do feel this freedom and this knowledge based on experience. It making mistakes is actually a good thing.
