What I was trying to say was we'll explain though, what's going on with Darley. There have been some concerns about her health as of late. Also, I guess we've all been guilty of it at some point. You flip somebody off, right, We've not proud of it. But even as a kid, maybe did it.

Speaker 1: For Also on the run this morning, Texas troops are now in Chicago. Air traffic controllers are staying home fur load workers are now stressed about back pay. That's very understandable, and the former top cop in the US is going to be arranged today.

Speaker 2: Quite the scene there, But we do have to start in our nation's capital, Yes ground all day on Capitol Hill, where the Senate is once again scheduled to vote on the same two competing funding proposals that have failed fine times already. I guess six times of charms what they're thinking. But yes, they're expected to fail again today and the government will remain closed again today. Then they'll come back and do the same thing again tomorrow with the same results.

Democrats and Republicans are at an impass and right now there is no clear path or solution that's presented itself that could get us out of it and get the government reopen. Republicans want to pass a short term spending measure that would keep the government open while they negotiate a longer term deal. Democrats have rejected that and has said what healthcare guarantees before they negotiate?

And adding fuel now to the furloughed fire, the President suggested that maybe those estimated seven hundred and fifty thousand furloughed federal workers won't be getting back pay. The White House confirmed that there is a draft memo they've sent to agencies that hinted that back pay from a government shut down might not be assured by current law.

Speaker 1: Wo Well, the President was asked about this in the Offal Office, specifically about workers not getting back pay. Here's what he said. I would say it depends on who we're talking about. It really depends on who you're talking about. But for the most part, we're going to take care of our people. There are some people that really don't deserve to be taken care of, and we will take care of them in a different way. That's some gangster stuff right there. What does that mean? Who is in which group? That's the big question. I think a lot of you people are asking which one do I fit into. The President followed up a short time later and said, okay, he'd follow the law, but again, what's the law.

Speaker 2: But when you hear these things, he has been determining some argue what the law is and how it fits into his agenda. So this certainly set off alarm bells. But yes, law says governments shut down workers not being paid should bit their back pay when the government reopens. Now, the effects of the shutdown are becoming more and more evident at the nation's airports, where air traffic control shortages are causing delays, cancelations, and frustration for travelers. Focusing on Nashville for a second, so short staffed last night that they were leaning on air traffic controllers from Memphis. Flights were delayed on average last night in Nashville about two hours.

Speaker 1: The FAA is warning ground stops are possible at several major airports today DC, Philly, Miami, San Francisco, Newark, New York. They even go as far as listing a group as a groundstop in Boston is not just possible but expected.

Speaker 2: Yeah, this is happening because yes, air traffic controllers are not being paid right now. They are calling out sick in higher numbers. They are considered essential workers and required by law to keep showing up for work. Even though they are not being paid during the shutdown.

But you remember all the incidents we were reporting about, and some of it had to do with something happening in the tower, somebody looking at two screens when normally it's only one. This kind of thing happened even before, and some of the air traffic control leaders of the union are saying, you know what, I know you all are seeing the effects of this, and you all think we're so stressed. We deal with this crap every single day. Wow, this is how we roll.

Speaker 1: All right. Next up on the run, the Texas National Guard is in Illinois and is expected to start patrolling the streets of Chicago but this might be a short development for them or deployment for them.

Speaker 2: Yeah, State of Illinois and the City of Chicago, we told you about this yesterday. They sued the Trump administration to stop their plan to send troops to the city, but the judge in the case refused to immediately block the deployment of the National Guard into Chicago, so in tes she gave the White House until tonight to respond and a hearing is scheduled tomorrow. So they might end up only doing two days of duty there, depending on what this judge does say tomorrow.

Speaker 1: All right, Next up on the run, the former head of the FBI is going to be arraigned in a Virginia court today. James Comy is facing charges of obstruction of justice and making false statements.

Speaker 2: Yeah, the charges them from testimony that Comy gave to Congress five years ago in which he denied authorizing leaks to the media. Comya Komy, who was fired by Trump during his first term and has been a frequent critic of the president, was indicted days after President Trump publicly urged A. G. Pambondi to do so. Would he be the number one nemesis public nemesis I'm trying to think of all the people that the president really seems to be irked by, and he directs his some of that ire towards Komy certainly. I mean, he's gonna have to Comy's family.

Speaker 1: For I was just going to say, it's not just Comy, He's going after anyone who has associated his daughter, his son in law. I mean, this is definitely it appears to be quite the vendetta. I guess that's happening right now. But what a specta, what a spectacle today in Virginia, and it's it's frightening in a lot of ways to a lot of folks. All right, Next up on the run. This sounds crazy, but a guy is getting fined two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for giving the middle finger. But the guy we're talking about is the owner of the Dallas Cowboys, Jerry Jones, and the people he flashed a middle finger to football fans in the stadium.

Speaker 2: Okay, the story gets funny because you listen to how he explains it. Now, the NFL hit Jones with this fine after he was caught on camera. And when I say clearly, folks, I mean clearly flipping the middle finger towards fans in the stand. He was up in his box at MetLife Stadium Sunday where the Cowboys were playing the New York Jets, and he was looking down at the fans and he flipped the thing in. So here's the funny part of all this. Jones acknowledge that this is what happened, but he says robes that flipping the people off it was an accident.

Sorry, I'm trying not to laugh, because that was right after we made our last touchdown and we were all excited about it. There wasn't any antagonistic issue or anything like that. I just put up the wrong show. On the hand, that was inadvertently done, I'm not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can call it accidental. But the intention was thumbs up and basically pointing at our fans because everybody was jumping up and down excited. So is he saying that he is suffering from a form of dementia or mental lapse, because how do you confuse the thumbs up with a middle finger?

That didn't look like anything antagonistic about his stance, and the fans in front of him were allegedly cowboys fans that he was celebrating with, So that does make no sense why he would flip people off who were celebrating his team. Sorry, all my daughter was walking to school and she's trying to FaceTime me right now. No, but when you see it, it does. I don't know how something accidentally happens like that. I don't know you're trying to point one way.

One social media post sent Laker tickets skyrocketing. This one post was from the King himself, King James, and he teased in this social media post what he dubbed a second decision. This is a play. I think it might have been. One of the biggest missteps in Lebron james career is when he went from Cleveland to Miami. He did this whole big production, called it the decision of where he was going to go. He hadn't even told Cleveland that he was leaving, and then on a national live broadcast, they have to find out that they're Golden Boy, the guy they love is gonna bring much he is leaving. So a lot of people like that was just dumb and low down and a bad look. Any even admitted later it was a mistake. So he puts out a social media post this week saying there is a second decision. So we're all thinking ropes. This is going to be a very big deal.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean we're thinking retirement, right, yes, okay, all right, So yeah, he's in his twenty third season, He's won his gold medals, his championships, his MVP Awards, He's the all time leading scorer in NBA history. So the speculation was, of course that maybe maybe Lebron's decision could be about his retirement. Why not go out on top right, and fans then immediately ran out started buying up tickets to the final Lakers home game of the year, which could end up being the final game of Lebron James' career.

Wow, So apologies, but it's been a long long time. We have a new ambassador. You might have heard of him. Everybody say hello to Ambassador Herschel Walker. Go dogs, Oh boy, yes, we remember him right. He was confirmed by the Senate yesterday after a strictly party line vote. Walker Herschel Walker is an absolute legend. He's an NFL Star, former NFL Star Heisman Trophy member winner from of course, University of Georgia. But recently he was most known as an unsuccessful and scandal written candidate for Senate from Georgia. He lost that race, but he's been a close ally of Donald Trump. I didn't realize that nomination was still going on. I think I faintly remember hearing it was up, got voted on, and he's the new ambassador.

That is what Dolly Parton's sister Freedom posted to Facebook yesterday, and it sent fans everywhere into a panic, and it was justified panic.

And now her sister telling us all she's up all night praying for Dolly. Of course, everybody was gonna be free. Everybody was going to be concerned. It's one of those things you see a name, a particular name, trending on Twitter overnight and you get scared the hell out of you. And this is look, Dolly. We don't mess around with Dolly in the health.

But this is what Frieda said last night. I was up all night praying for my sister Dolly. Many of you know she hasn't been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been led to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me. She's strong, she loved, and with all all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she's going to be just fine. God speed, my sissy, Dolly, My silly Dolly. We all love you. That sounds like imminent death.

He you know this is this is a guy who has been an had spent his life he's been gone for a couple decades now, but spend his life ministering men in the Christian faith. But it's by staying and staying in the water and staying in the mess and really just not being able to pull yourself out of it, that is what ends up getting us all in trouble. So they might end up only doing two days of duty there, depending on what this judge does say tomorrow.

Comya Komy, who was fired by Trump during his first term and has been a frequent critic of the president, was indicted days after President Trump publicly urged A. G. Pambondi to do so. Would he be the number one nemesis public nemesis I'm trying to think of all the people that the president really seems to be irked by, and he directs his some of that ire towards Komy certainly. I mean, he's gonna have to Comy's family.

This sounds crazy, but a guy is getting fined two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for giving the middle finger. Speaker 2: Okay, the story gets funny because you listen to how he explains it. Now, the NFL hit Jones with this fine after he was caught on camera. And when I say clearly, folks, I mean clearly flipping the middle finger towards fans in the stand. He was up in his box at MetLife Stadium Sunday where the Cowboys were playing the New York Jets, and he was looking down at the fans and he flipped the thing in. So here's the funny part of all this. Jones acknowledge that this is what happened, but he says robes that flipping the people off it was an accident.

I think it might have been. One of the biggest missteps in Lebron james career is when he went from Cleveland to Miami. He did this whole big production, called it the decision of where he was going to go. He hadn't even told Cleveland that he was leaving, and then on a national live broadcast, they have to find out that they're Golden Boy, the guy they love is gonna bring much he is leaving. So a lot of people like that was just dumb and low down and a bad look. Any even admitted later it was a mistake. So he puts out a social media post this week saying there is a second decision. So we're all thinking ropes. This is going to be a very big deal.

But recently he was most known as an unsuccessful and scandal written candidate for Senate from Georgia. He lost that race, but he's been a close ally of Donald Trump. I didn't realize that nomination was still going on. I think I faintly remember hearing it was up, got voted on, and he's the new ambassador.

He you know this is this is a guy who has been an had spent his life he's been gone for a couple decades now, but spend his life ministering men in the Christian faith.
