As we sit here, it's weird to think President Nicolas Maduro is on his way to us. And we say that because we happen to be as of this recording, watching live video of Maduro being taken from the MDC in Brooklyn to a helicopter to be brought right here to Manhattan, a stone's throw from where we are in Lower Manhattan. It's his wild.

Speaker 1: It's crazy to think he is boarding a helicopter because normally a prisoner would be taken from that detention center in Brooklyn to the Federal courthouse here in Lower Manhattan via the Brooklyn Bridge. But imagine the security, the traffic, all the concerns that that would entail, having a former lead of a country being brought up on federal charges here in this country. And how do you transport that said former official safely? Securely? I know we're used to that in this area. With the un and all of that, but this, this seems unprecedented.

Speaker 2: Well, look, I've unpresidented. I've seen a lot of movies where big time prisoners escape on the Brooklyn Bridge. Yes, right, this big extravagant thing. But look there, it's just wild to think that this guy is leaving the same prison that did he left and going to the same courthouse that Diddy went to every day four months. That is what's happening right now. We'll get more into what's happening with Yes, a court appearance expected for Nicolasimira Maduro and his wife today. But again, a fascinating, very interesting morning so far here in New York on this Monday morning, first Monday of twenty twenty six. Also on the run this morning, we'll be making stops in Colombia, Greenland, Cuba, Uvalde, Texas, as well as New Jersey, Pandora, Tokyo, and Cincinnati, where there's a call for celebration there. But not maybe for our dear friend Michael Strahand because one of his records fell yesterday. We'll get into that, and I'm sure he's happy for the guy. But a longtime record that's stray held.

Former Venezuelan president Nicholas Madua and his wife woke up behind bars in Brooklyn this morning and they are already making that early morning journey trying to brave I guess for to avoid New York City traffic via helicopter.

Speaker 2: Yeah, Madumra his wife, they are expected in court today in Lower Manhattan. Now we have been told it was supposed to be noon Eastern time. They are leaving quite early. You have to make that noon appointment. But yes, they do have holding facilities, so maybe they're just getting there a little early. But we believe it is going to be noon. They are going to be answering charges. I believe at least four rows, but drugs charges, weapons charges, everything connected to narco terrorism that they're going to be looking at. Look a lot of questions. We don't know if they have attorneys, private attorneys. We don't know what arguments they're going to make. Certainly don't expect he's going to be granted bail of any kind or anything. He might be a flight risk at this dude, but he's been treated like any other criminal at this point. But they're going to be arguments made about is he a prisoner of war? All of this stuff is going to cut. We have no idea. But all we know is he is on his way to Lower Manhattan, the same courthouse where did he went into every single day during his trial.

Speaker 1: Yes, all eyes are going to be on that federal courtroom at noon EA today. Of course, we will bring you the very latest. But of note, the UN Security Council is also meeting today here in New York City.

Speaker 2: They've been scrambling trying to get some kind of response to what the United States has now done in Venezuela, Venezuela. Of course, the big question there is who exactly is in charge in Venezuela.

Speaker 1: Yes, officially it's the Vice President Drcy Rodriguez. But Trump is now suggesting otherwise and has given the newly installed vice president a heads up, a warning, so to speak, to behave. We heard him praise her this weekend, saying that she knows that she needs to do what she's told. Basically, she knows what she needs to do, which is what we tell her to do. He called her gracious. Seemed like things were going well, but of note, recently Trump said this, if she doesn't do what's right, she is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro. She has called for the release of Maduro at this point, and that certainly angered President Trump.

Speaker 2: What is those types of words? Probably bigger than Maduro? He was snatched out of his home. Was that a threat against her life? Is what I am saying? She is going to pay a very big price, probably bigger than Maduro. He lost the presidency, he got taken out of his country, and he's sitting in prison. It was that a what kind of a threat is that?

Speaker 1: It absolutely was a threat, and it certainly seemed menacing, but vague, And of course, maybe perhaps the most venicing menacing threats are vague because you don't quite know what he means, and he could probably deny anything, anything that would be significant or illegal, but certainly it's I would be concerned.

Speaker 2: So as we saw, Venezuela was first, and you just mentioned that I would be concerned, while some are saying, including Marco Rubio, that Cuba specifically should be concerned. But it's not just Cuba. Greenland, Colombia as well as Cuba have now all essentially been put on notice by President Trump over the weekend. He didn't necessarily meant any words when asked about the possibility of who's next first, who's possibly next Columbia, he suggested military action there, accusing that country's leader of running cocaine factories. And when he was asked about a US military operation there, this was his response, sounds good to me. Oooh all right.

Speaker 1: And when it comes to Cuba, here's what the President said about that country. He said that Cuba is ready to fall. Cuba looks ready to fall. I don't know if they're going to hold out. That is a direct quote from the President of the United States. And then we heard from Secretary of State Mark Rubio, who said this during the Sunday morning interviews, that it's no secret that the US is no fan of the Cuban regime, saying here is his quote, if I lived in Havana and I was in government, I'd be concerned.

Speaker 2: And then Greenland not to be left out of all these threats. The President repeated his desire to annex that country, saying it's important to US national security. Now, he kind of and tripled down. He was asked about this on Air Force one, and he was kind of emphatic, herobes, we need Greenland, Absolutely, we need Greenland. He spoke about it a little more forcefully than he had spoken about it last year. I would argue, Then, on top of that, you have Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff. I got his title right. His wife, the wife of White House staffer, put out a tweet that was essentially it was Greenland, a map of Greenland, but it was painted with red, white and blue the American flags. All that came out. So Denmark didn't appreciate any of it, and they put out a statement essentially saying stop threatening us.

Speaker 1: Yes, here is the exact quote from Denmark. The Kingdom of Denmark, and thus Greenland is part of NATO and is therefore covered by the Alliance's security guarantee. We already have a defense agreement between the Kingdom and the United States today which gives the United States wide access to Greenland. I would therefore strongly urged the United States to stop the threats against a historically close ally and against another country and another people who have said very clearly that they are not for sale.

We told you we literally are looking at live pictures as of this recording, and that was a very short helicopter ride. It appears Maduro has made his way to Manhattan. He has off that helicopter. We see him walking. What a tan jumpsuit looks like some almost brightly colored orange shoes. But he has someone on either side of him, says DEA. The label on the back of their jackets. I assume that his wife walking behind him, the little lady, but she's being escorted as well by one or two officers. They are all full tactical gear hero robes. As we watch look pictures being taken by the DEA. They have their own photographer. But it's fascinating to watch that this guy was chillin at a presidential palace in Venezuela but three nights ago.

Speaker 1: This is unreal to actually watch happened in actual time and to see the amount of law enforcement and watching them be escorted like this, and yet to see that photographer backpedaling like you would see a journalist. But it was a member of the team documenting this historic moment where you have the I guess we were discussing if this is technically now the former president of Venezuela and his wife being led in handcuffs, flanked by DA officers, headed into a Manhattan federal courthouse and.

Speaker 2: Filing into an armored vehicle. This is just amazing to watch. Nothing short of ten to fifteen armed, fully armed, tactically geared up officers getting Maduro and his wife into the back of this armored vehicle they are heading down. You're going to see a lot of live shots today that look familiar, folks, because it is the same door, the same entrance, the same building where you saw all the live shots from Diddy's trial. But again, we didn't expect to be talking about this, but we're looking up and happen to see these live pictures happening right now as of this recording. We'll keep an eye there. Also, continuing on the run here, we do want to tell you about a couple of high profile trials that are getting underway, both of them today, one of them in Texas, the other in New Jersey. That's right.

Speaker 1: First in Texas, one of the very first police officers to respond to the Euvaldi school shooting is on trial today. Adrian Gonzalez is facing twenty nine counts of child abandonment or endangerment. He is a former Uvaldi school officer, and prosecutors say he failed to protect those kids during the attack by refusing to engage the shooter and by not following his active shooter training.

Speaker 2: A reminder there in Uvalde, nineteen students were killed, two teachers were killed, and a reminder as well. I didn't remember how long the delay was. We remembered the delay, but folks, we all were aware shots were being fired. Officers arrived on the scene, and there was seventy seven minutes that went by between their arrival and the time they finally started to breach and go in and try to save those kids.

Speaker 1: Remember those parents who showed up to the school trying, desperately begging police officers to go in and save their children. It is horrific. So yes, he will be standing trial and that begins today. Also today, the quadruple murder trial of Paul Cadero begins in New Jersey. Jury selection begins. This is a long away to trial. These murders happened nearly eight years ago, November twentieth, twenty eighteen. Paul Cadero is accused of murder ding his brother, his brother's wife, and their two children, ages eight and eleven. They were viciously murdered in their own home, and then prosecutors say he burned two mansions, including his own, to cover the crime, to try and make it look as though someone else had it out for their family, when prosecutors say it was in fact him who killed all of these members of his own family for money.

He became the all time I'M sacks leader. He had more sacks in one season than any defensive player ever in history. Well, Michael Strahan's record fell yesterday to Miles Garrett. Yes, a defensive end for the struggling Cleveland Browns, but he set the record twenty three sacks in one year. He beats the record set by Stray and TJ. Watt tied it a couple of years ago, but Stray had it since two thousand and one. I believe the record straight had was twenty two and a half sacks. How do you have a half sack? They have a way of calculating two guys could get to the ball at the same time and you get credit for a half sack, and.

Finally here a three point two million dollar fish.

We're talking about bluefin tune that they do this for Yosu Fish Market in Tokyo, famous spot over there. But this happens weekly, but it's a big deal at the beginning of the year, people going after a fish. But this company that has this sushi chain over in Japan, this thing is five hundred and thirty five pounds, and it comes out of the Oma northern coast of Japan where the best bluefin tuna okay, comes out of those waters.

Nothing short of ten to fifteen armed, fully armed, tactically geared up officers getting Maduro and his wife into the back of this armored vehicle they are heading down. You're going to see a lot of live shots today that look familiar, folks, because it is the same door, the same entrance, the same building where you saw all the live shots from Diddy's trial. But again, we didn't expect to be talking about this, but we're looking up and happen to see these live pictures happening right now as of this recording. We'll keep an eye there. Also, continuing on the run here, we do want to tell you about a couple of high profile trials that are getting underway, both of them today, one of them in Texas, the other in New Jersey. Speaker 1: First in Texas, one of the very first police officers to respond to the Euvaldi school shooting is on trial today. Adrian Gonzalez is facing twenty nine counts of child abandonment or endangerment. He is a former Uvaldi school officer, and prosecutors say he failed to protect those kids during the attack by refusing to engage the shooter and by not following his active shooter training.

Speaker 2: A reminder there in Uvalde, nineteen students were killed, two teachers were killed, and a reminder as well. I didn't remember how long the delay was. We remembered the delay, but folks, we all were aware shots were being fired. Officers arrived on the scene, and there was seventy seven minutes that went by between their arrival and the time they finally started to breach and go in and try to save those kids.

Speaker 1: Remember those parents who showed up to the school trying, desperately begging police officers to go in and save their children. It is horrific. So yes, he will be standing trial and that begins today. Also today, the quadruple murder trial of Paul Cadero begins in New Jersey. Jury selection begins. This is a long away to trial. These murders happened nearly eight years ago, November twentieth, twenty eighteen. Paul Cadero is accused of murder ding his brother, his brother's wife, and their two children, ages eight and eleven. They were viciously murdered in their own home, and then prosecutors say he burned two mansions, including his own, to cover the crime, to try and make it look as though someone else had it out for their family, when prosecutors say it was in fact him who killed all of these members of his own family for money.

They have a way of calculating two guys could get to the ball at the same time and you get credit for a half sack, and.

But this company that has this sushi chain over in Japan, this thing is five hundred and thirty five pounds, and it comes out of the Oma northern coast of Japan where the best bluefin tuna okay, comes out of those waters.
