Of course, a lot of eyes were on him last night, but a lot of eyes could not be because two of the biggest carriers of ABC programming said they were going to pre empt him last night. You can imagine what he wrote on true social Also the president running around canceling meetings We're about to have a government shut down, big meeting to come to a resolution. He abruptly cancels it. We'll explain what happened there. Also, what do you think about this statue? And there's a new statue that popped up in DC. I don't think Trump likes it.

I guess that, yes, that the National Park Service allowed this to happen. They issued a permit, and it is a hell of a statue that you know. Trump is not excited.

We will get into all that, but Roes, we do have to start, of course, with Kimmel last night. Look, there was a lot of anticipation, and he even made the point last night Robes that hey, your plan backfired. You were trying to get me canceled, and now you are essentially requiring millions of people to watch me.

Speaker 3: He started Robes with jokes, but the jokes did not necessarily continue and go throughout, because he in fact did have poignant things he wanted to say last evening. And I think beginning this was the most important thing that he did say last night, that it was important to him as a human to explain it was never my intention to make light up the murder of a young man. And this is where he stopped. He paused, and he got choked up. You could hear in his voice almost couldn't continue. He said, I posed. I posted a message on Instagram the day he was killed, sending love to his family, asking for compassion, and I meant it and I still do. It was not my intention to blame a specific group. Obviously, it was a deeply disturbed individual, he said. I understand to some that that felt either ill timed or unclear, or maybe both. And for those who think I did point a finger. I get why you're upset. If the situation were reversed, there's a good chance I would have felt the same way. That was the meat of his message life.

Speaker 1: Yes, and that was validating. He didn't apologize, but he validated, Yes, And I think that was an appropriate thing to do, because as a comedian it is to provoke. It is to be provocative and to get people laughing, but also to maybe even make a few people win. I mean, that's what these comedians do. They poked the bear. So he didn't apologize for doing that.

Speaker 1: I think it was to to validate how he can understand how the other side feels and how he might be in that same position. So it was almost as if he walked in their shoes, and I thought that actually was more powerful important some apology that people might not even believe.

Speaker 3: Yeah, and another important line from last night, saying this show is not important. What is important is that we live in a country that allows us to have a show like this. He used the phrase Unamerican. He said, it's unamerican to pull the show off the air, it's anti American to do what the president is doing, and he did. He I thought it was a nice moment about Erica Kirk. He acknowledged how powerful that moment was and how deeply he was impacted.

Speaker 1: By Yeah, and it definitely felt heartfelt and authentic. And I actually appreciated how he spoke about comedians and other countries, how they are always so aware of what we can do, what comedians can do in this country, and they're jealous of our freedoms, and those freedoms he felt like were taken away at least he mentioned Colbert. He mentioned that Trump has threatened NBC's comedians as well, and so he said, I hope you can even louder than you were for me for them if this continues to happen.

Speaker 3: And it was one of maybe the funniest line for me is that he heard from people from all over the world, and a comedian in Germany actually asked if he wanted to offered him a job. He said, and say, imagine that Germany. We've become so authoritarian here that Germany is like, hey, come over here.

Speaker 1: He said, I can't believe the ABC fake news gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back. The White House was told by ABC that his show was canceled. Something happened between then and now. Because his audience is gone and his talent was never there. Why would they want somebody someone back who does so poorly, who's not funny, and who puts the network in jeopardy by playing ninety nine percent positive Democrat garbage. He is yet another arm of the danc and to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major illegal campaign contribution. I think we're going to test ABC out on this. Let's see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me sixteen million dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers. Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad ratings, so an absolute threat to ABC, direct threat.

Sinclair did say earlier in the day yesterday that even though Disney was bringing back Kimmel's show, that they Sinclair, the largest owner of ABC stations in the country, would not They would not be showing a show. It would be preempt At last evening, Sinclair said that they're in charge of about thirty eight ABC affiliates, and then a little later in the day, Next Star, the second largest owner of ABC stations, came out and said they wouldn't be putting him on the show on their airwaves last night either. I think kimme Will mentioned about twenty percent of his viewership was essentially not able to see him last evening, a bunch of markets. We don't know what Sinclair Nexttar planned to do.

Speaker 1: Next Next Yeah, that's seventy stations, seventy markets who could not see Kimmel last night. He mentioned even his wife's family would not be able to watch him. He was listening the cities who were not able to But there was some of it up on YouTube, and certainly you can access it online. So we'll see how that affects his alleged poor ratings.

We don't know what that means when he's going to come back. Speaker 3: So more on that to com We want to continue on this run this morning. The next leg takes us back to d C, where we're told there's a government shut down that is imminent. So it was a good sign to hear that President Trump was going to be meeting with Democratic leaders until we heard.

Speaker 1: Yes, so he actually posted this on social media. That's how we all found out. After reviewing the details of the un serious and ridiculous demands being made by the minority radical left Democrats in return for their votes to keep our thriving country open, I have decided that no meeting with their congressional leaders could possibly be productive. He was supposed to meet with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries, and this was abrupt and sent both lawmakers to having their own press conferences and also taking to social media, Schumer saying this, Donald Trump can't even negotiate a budget bill with Democrats, This great negotiator, by refusing to even sit down with Democrats Donald Trump is causing the shutdown, Schumer saying this is a Trump shutdown. Yes, and so Trump reportedly canceled the meeting after talking to specifically House Speaker Mike Johnson also sent up Majority leader John Thune. Reports are that there were concerns that they thought Trump might give or make concessions that they weren't willing to make, and so they just wanted the meeting called off altogether, which Trump did. And by the way, unless an agreement is meeched reached by midnight October first, our government will shut down.

Speaker 3: I'm sure they're all working to get something else on the books, staying in Washington right now. Though the President may be annoyed by that meeting, well he's really annoyed by what was going on out in the National mall right.

Speaker 1: Yes, right there for everyone to see. An anonymous group put up You have to check out these pictures. A spray painted bronze statues. I mean, in the pictures it looks very legit, showing President Trump and Jeffrey Epstein holding hands. The statue actually even has a name. It's called best Friends Forever, and it has a plaque at the bottom of these statues saying we celebrate the long lasting bond between President Donald J. Trump and his closest friend, Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaker 3: If you didn't know the backstory, the statue looks kind of sweet. They're kind of holding hands, their legs are kicked up like they're almost frollicking.

Speaker 1: So, by the way, this is all perfectly legal. The National Park Service gave a permit to that group, so it is going to allow the statue to remain right there on the National Mall for all to see till eight pm on Sunday. And by the way, this is just the latest in a series of political sculptures. They're called protest sculptures I believe that are critical of Trump. They've been popping up all over Washington since last October. So this is just the latest in the series.

Speaker 3: All right, we want to turn on. Our next leg of the run takes us to Florida, where there was quite the scene in the courtroom for the man who is going to hear his fate. He's the one accused of trying to assassinate the president while he was the presidential nominee. He wasn't right been sworn in yet at his golf course down in Florida. This is the guy hiding in the bushes, y'all remember that guy, Ryan Rauth, Well he was found roes. That was just the beginning.

Speaker 1: Yes, So when the jury, which took about three less than three hours actually to convict Ralph. After the verdict was read, Ralph tried to then stab himself in the neck with a pen. And it was his daughter, Ralph's daughter, who began to scream out loud in court, oh my god, he's trying to kill himself. He's trying to kill himself. Someone stop him, please, And that's when court martials tackled him and dragged him out of court. When they returned, he was back in shackles so he could not harm himself, and he didn't seem to actually have done that. They said there was no blood visible.

Speaker 3: Did you I want to give credit, but one outlet reported that there was something. They were specially designed pens in the court room that specifically are made to keep you from being able to use them as a weapon, So.

Speaker 1: They probably retracked, so he probably did. They said it looked like there're no damage done, but Ralph's daughter also yelled out in court when they brought him back in. I love you and we will get you out. Don't worry. That seems highly unlikely. His sentencing is scheduled for December eighteenth. He is facing life in prison, as you might imagine, because he was convicted of attempted assassination of a major presidential candidate, along with four other very serious charges. So it is interesting. The authorities made it clear Ralph created what they call a sniper's nest near that sixth hole on Trump's golf course, but he never actually fired a shot, but he still was planning it, and he was convicted. Trump celebrated the verdict on social media, writing congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and the entire DOJ team on the conviction in Florida of the person who attempted an assassination on my life.

Now United has thankfully resumed normal operations now, but between the hours of midnight and four am overnight tonight, there were forty two delays and four cancelations because of this issue. And by the way, this isn't the first time we've had this kind of vague issue stop planes or ground planes. That happened back in August, so there is real concern.

Yes, the UN is in session, you got all that security for world leaders, and well President Trump spoke yesterday, so that brings an already congested city to a complete and total halt. And apparently that even impacts those aforementioned world leaders. Case in point, French President Emmanuel Macrone will he found out the hard way. He even tried. This is amazing. It was all caught on video. He tried calling President Trump for help when the police blocked his vehicle to allow another ca van aka the presidential motorcade to pass by. But in the video that's now gone viral, you can see Macron getting out of his vehicle asking police to let him pass before where the motorcade arrived. Because the president hadn't gotten there yet. They shut everything down within I don't know, ten fifteen minutes beforehand. So he's arguing with police, if you don't see it, let me pass. I have ten people with me. He'd gotten out of his car. He was trying to walk. They wouldn't even let him walk at that point, so he decided to pick up the phone and call Trump.

Speaker 3: Continuing on the run here, now just one quick sports know a major changes coming to Major League Baseball in the twenty twenty six season. They are going to start using a robot umpire. Now that doesn't mean the regular umpire is going away that's standing behind home plate. Instead, they're going to use a computer system that essentially now allow teams to have two challenges. If they think it was a strike and it was called a ball, they can say challenge. And you know when you watch tennis oftentimes that monitor they put up and that shows just exactly where the ball lands and can tail if it's enter out. It's that technology, that system. So now you can have two challenges a game just the hitter and the catcher and the pitcher can say I want a challenge. But it is going to be a change to Major League baseball.

And I think beginning this was the most important thing that he did say last night, that it was important to him as a human to explain it was never my intention to make light up the murder of a young man. And this is where he stopped. He paused, and he got choked up. You could hear in his voice almost couldn't continue. He said, I posed. I posted a message on Instagram the day he was killed, sending love to his family, asking for compassion, and I meant it and I still do. It was not my intention to blame a specific group. Obviously, it was a deeply disturbed individual, he said. I understand to some that that felt either ill timed or unclear, or maybe both. And for those who think I did point a finger. I get why you're upset. If the situation were reversed, there's a good chance I would have felt the same way. That was the meat of his message life.

I think kimme Will mentioned about twenty percent of his viewership was essentially not able to see him last evening, a bunch of markets. We don't know what Sinclair Nexttar planned to do.

After reviewing the details of the un serious and ridiculous demands being made by the minority radical left Democrats in return for their votes to keep our thriving country open, I have decided that no meeting with their congressional leaders could possibly be productive. He was supposed to meet with Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer House Minority Leader Hakim Jeffries, and this was abrupt and sent both lawmakers to having their own press conferences and also taking to social media, Schumer saying this, Donald Trump can't even negotiate a budget bill with Democrats, This great negotiator, by refusing to even sit down with Democrats Donald Trump is causing the shutdown, Schumer saying this is a Trump shutdown. Yes, and so Trump reportedly canceled the meeting after talking to specifically House Speaker Mike Johnson also sent up Majority leader John Thune. Reports are that there were concerns that they thought Trump might give or make concessions that they weren't willing to make, and so they just wanted the meeting called off altogether, which Trump did. And by the way, unless an agreement is meeched reached by midnight October first, our government will shut down.

Someone stop him, please, And that's when court martials tackled him and dragged him out of court. When they returned, he was back in shackles so he could not harm himself, and he didn't seem to actually have done that. They said there was no blood visible.

So it is interesting. The authorities made it clear Ralph created what they call a sniper's nest near that sixth hole on Trump's golf course, but he never actually fired a shot, but he still was planning it, and he was convicted. Trump celebrated the verdict on social media, writing congratulations to Attorney General Pam Bondi, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and the entire DOJ team on the conviction in Florida of the person who attempted an assassination on my life.

Yes, the UN is in session, you got all that security for world leaders, and well President Trump spoke yesterday, so that brings an already congested city to a complete and total halt. And apparently that even impacts those aforementioned world leaders. Case in point, French President Emmanuel Macrone will he found out the hard way. He even tried. This is amazing. It was all caught on video. He tried calling President Trump for help when the police blocked his vehicle to allow another ca van aka the presidential motorcade to pass by. But in the video that's now gone viral, you can see Macron getting out of his vehicle asking police to let him pass before where the motorcade arrived. Because the president hadn't gotten there yet. They shut everything down within I don't know, ten fifteen minutes beforehand. So he's arguing with police, if you don't see it, let me pass. I have ten people with me. He'd gotten out of his car. He was trying to walk. They wouldn't even let him walk at that point, so he decided to pick up the phone and call Trump.

If they think it was a strike and it was called a ball, they can say challenge.
