Also, the entire administration is going to be speaking at Charlie Kirk's memorial service. It seems the fired CDC director aka liar according to RFK Junior, Well, she was testifying yesterday. And this growing mystery and macob surrounding a dead body found in the trunk of singer David's car, robes all that going on, and it's probably none of those are the biggest topic, if you will, that people are buzzing about today.

Speaker 1: Of course, everyone is talking about Jimmy Kimmel and the fact that right before he was set to record his show last night, news word came that he was going to be done preempted indefinitely yes. So we have to begin our run on this Thursday with perhaps the biggest and most shocking fallout yet from public comments made regarding the assassination of Charlie Kirk. This one involves the massive shakeup in late night after that jaw dropping announcement from ABC late yesterday. This is all they said, Jimmy Kimmel Live will be preempted indefinitely.

Speaker 2: So what happened, Well, this started when news came of the FCC chair doing a podcast. He went on a show, a far right show, and he criticized Kimmel for comments he made on his Monday night broadcast. So the chairman of the FCC, Brendan Carr, called Kimmel's remarks some of the sickest conduct possible, and he threatened that quote there are avenues for the FCC, adding we can do this the easy way, or these companies can find ways to change conduct, to take action frankly on Kimmel, or there's going to be additional work for the FCC ahead end quote.

Speaker 1: So what were those remarks made by Kimmel. Here is the verbatim of what he said on his Monday night broadcasts that has so many people up in arms. We hit some new lows over the weekend with the Maga gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.

Speaker 2: Okay, if anyone is well aware, even if you don't watch Jimmy Kimmel's show, he's going after President Trump essentially every night, and pretty harshly. Sometimes not just in a joking matter, but he's making political statements and he has been a thorn in the side of the President. They've been going back and forth for a long time. So he makes that statement, and so now Nextstar gets involved. You might not even know the name of this company, but Next Star is a powerhouse that owns thirty two ABC affiliate stations throughout the country. They reacted to the Chairman's comments by announcing that they would be pre empting Jimmy Kimmel Live on their stations for the foreseeable future, beginning with last night's show, adding Nextstar strongly objects to recent comments made by mister Kimmel concerning the killing of Charlie Kirk and will replace the show with other programming in its ABC affiliated markets, and that's when Disney, which of course owns ABC, followed suit indefinitely removing the program from its network.

Speaker 1: So the Hollywood Reporter is reporting today that Kimmel was preparing to address the backlash on his Monday night monologue on last night's show to explain how his words were taken out of context, but as we all know now, he never got the chance to do so, ABC pulling the plug just as he was about to record last night's episode.

President Trump immediately jumped on truth Social, writing this great news for America. The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is canceled. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has zero talent and worse ratings than even Cold Bear. If that's possible. That leaves Jimmy and Seth two total losers on fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC President djt He.

Speaker 2: Is saying, like two down, two to go. He's going after and the intent is to get these guys off TV. The President predicted what was going to happen, So the day before, on Tuesday, yesterday, two days ago, the President said both ABC and NBC would soon be canceling their late night shows. After CBS announced it was ending the Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He said, and he's kind of this sounds like very much Trump speak. You don't know whether to take it seriously or not. But he said, the word is and it's a strong word at that. Jimmy Kimmel is next to go in the untalented late night sweepstakes, and shortly thereafter Fallon will be gone.

There was, as you might imagine, strong reaction online from celebrities to politicians calling out ABC's decision as an attack on free speech. Notably California Governor Gavin Newsom tweeted this, and this echoed a lot of what we saw on line from people, and the majority of the reaction online was similar to this. Tone buying and controlling media platforms, firing commentators, canceling shows. These aren't coincidences. It's coordinated and it's dangerous. The GOP does not believe in free speech. They are censoring you in real time. Look, there is so much to talk about here as members of the press, as members of the media, witnessing everything that is going on there is there's a tremendous amount obviously a fallout and reaction, but repercussions with what's happening. So we're going to do a much larger episode on this today, so please be sure to look out for it and check it out.

Has happened in York County in the central part of the state. Officers we're serving a warrant at a home when the suspect open fire on them.

He had been wanted on charges of stalking and criminal trespass. But certainly just a devastating day for police and for everyone in that community.

Weren't going to get the work done in time, saying in a statement, Apparently, when you do everything at the last minute, sometimes you don't get it done. This one's on us. But to your cynicism questions, just they've been going after the president relentlessly this season.

And while authorities have not pointed to any suspects in her death. Around a dozen LAPD investigators spent hours searching a home close to where that tesla was abandoned before it was towed to the impound lot, where police ultimately Foundriva's body in the trunk after reports of a foul odor coming from that vehicle.

But this is twenty one year old Trey Reed's found dead Monday near the pickleball courts on the campus of Delta State University. This is in Cleveland, Mississippi. If you know the area of the Delta, you go straight down the Mississippi if you're driving, and it is about two hours south of Memphis. Now, police immediately said there was no evidence of foul play. They also called it a quote isolated incident. But now the family of Reed has hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump, who said they'll be doing their own investigation. Police expect results of a preliminary autopsy as early as today.
