We have a couple of tragic stories over the weekend, and a few things we're certainly keeping an eye on today in terms of courtrooms even across the country. But robes, all eyes and all talk right now is about Iran and the US, a ceasefire or not, negotiations or not. A lot of stuffs up in the air.

Speaker 1: Yeah, that's right, because that deadline is fast approaching in the two week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, and right now, hopes are not high that a deal is going to be reached in time. In fact, it's not even clear if the next round of peace talks is even going to take place tonight.

Speaker 2: Yeah, even though the US allegedly has a delegation on the way for those talks. Yes, President Trump announced he was sending that delegation, which supposed to include the usual suspects of wit Cough, Kushner, and Vice President Vance to Islamabad for another round of peace negotiations, But as of this recording, Iran still has not confirmed that they'd be attending those talks.

Speaker 1: Also complicating matters, the US military has fired upon and has now seized an Iranian flagged cargo ship that was attempting to go past the US blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Also of note, and this shouldn't be surprising given the events that we just detailed, oil prices taking back up this morning, and stock futures heading in the wrong direction.

Police have revealed now more about that mass shooting that left eight kids dead. And what we've learned rope since the initial reporting on this is that seven of the eight where the children of the gunmen.

Speaker 1: This is just an unthinkable tragedy, and the ages of those victims we now have it more clarified there between the ages of three and eleven, and police say show Elkins that was the father's name, went into two homes in the pre dawn hours where he shot at least ten people, the eight children we just mentioned, and then two women.

Speaker 1: The teenager's body was found last September, decomposing and dismembered in the trunk of a car registered to the singer David, whose real name is actually David Anthony Burke. He has been held without bail since his arrest, which happened late Thursday evening. We've heard from David's attorney, who categorically denies his involvement in Celeste's death. But we will certainly be getting more information and find out whether or not charges in fact will be brought against the singer later today. I believe it's one pm Eastern time, ten am Pacific time today.

The company successfully launched its new Glen rocket. Right. So the rocket is the thing that then takes the the capsule further into space. So they launched the rocket and then they could retrieve it so it comes back down lands on something. So this was another test flight for this rocket. It passed that part of the test robes with flying gulfs.

Speaker 1: But it also had another mission, which was to deliver a massive satellite into orbit. And this is where something went terribly wrong. Somehow the satellite was placed in an off nominal orbit.

Speaker 1: Okay, we don't know what that means us layman here, but here's how they put it. They put the satellite literally in the wrong place. It's now in the wrong orbit, which makes it inoperable, so it's unusable.

Speaker 2: They say, I don't realize this, but yeah, it makes sense. There are certain layers. If you will to the orbit, you have to put it in certain places, and if it circles too close to the Earth's orbit, like they say this one is, it's too low to sustain operations. So they just launched. This thing is a total bust. You can't go get it, you can't fix it, you can't do anything. You can't send a tech. There's nothing to do.

As often as we see those big events and big guys parachuting down. Sometimes they bring the game ball when they parachute in these pregames at football games. Speaker 1: This one had a big old American flag with him. Yeah, so it was hard to miss. A guy parachuting into a football stadium. He did not stick the landing and instead he actually got stuck. He got stuck on the scoreboard. If you haven't seen the video, please check it out. We can only laugh or chuckle because he's okay talking. He did an interview with ABC. Yes, so he's fine. This happened at Virginia Tech. He dangled for about twenty minutes or so in front of an entire stadium. So yes, he wasn't maybe necessarily injured physically, but emotionally that had to take us home.

Speaker 2: Yeah, this is I didn't realize. But this is a big event, big weekends, called the Two Oceans event. But they have a marathon, a half marathon. All we should go next year, Yes, we should. I've been looking for an excuse to go to Cape Town.

Speaker 2: Well, this is on our minds now, but let me tell you what happened. This is in Cape Town. But apparently robes they switched bibs. Now the reason why? And if folks, if you don't run, maybe folks aren't that familiar. But you get a bib and it has attached to your name, and it has a number, and then literally it has a microchip in there that's for you alone, and it tracks you. And that's how they get exact times. If you take your bib, give it to somebody else who runs the race for you, then robes, it's going to look like you got whatever time that person did, right, So they switched bibs and these two men end up in the top ten in the women's division.

Speaker 2: Photos, right, sweetheart? For some reason, these morons posted pictures online with a bib that's as Larissa and a dude is standing there wearing it. They just people started piecing it together slowly, but surely they figured out.

So every race we've run recently, they actually have a marathon marathon photo organization and then they it's a way for them to make money and they give you photos. So I would think that would have been a really obvious thing. Yes, when you have two men pictured with female names in the female race, yeah, that's it's hard to avoid that.

Speaker 1: This one had a big old American flag with him. Yeah, so it was hard to miss. A guy parachuting into a football stadium. He did not stick the landing and instead he actually got stuck. This happened at Virginia Tech. He dangled for about twenty minutes or so in front of an entire stadium. So yes, he wasn't maybe necessarily injured physically, but emotionally that had to take us home.

Speaker 1: Welcome back everyone to this Monday morning edition of our Morning Run. Next up on the Run, two women who finished in the top ten at a half marathon this weekend have now been disqualified and in fact they could both face a ban. Why you ask, because two men ran the race for them.

Speaker 2: Yeah, this is I didn't realize. But this is a big event, big weekends, called the Two Oceans event. But they have a marathon, a half marathon. All we should go next year, Yes, we should. I've been looking for an excuse to go to Cape Town.

Speaker 2: Well, this is on our minds now, but let me tell you what happened. This is in Cape Town. But apparently robes they switched bibs. Now the reason why? And if folks, if you don't run, maybe folks aren't that familiar. But you get a bib and it has attached to your name, and it has a number, and then literally it has a microchip in there that's for you alone, and it tracks you. And that's how they get exact times. If you take your bib, give it to somebody else who runs the race for you, then robes, it's going to look like you got whatever time that person did, right, So they switched bibs and these two men end up in the top ten in the women's division.

Speaker 1: Okay, and that is, yes, not a fair advantage. And wait, how did they get caught? I would imagine because they take.

Speaker 2: Photos, right, sweetheart? For some reason, these morons posted pictures online with a bib that's as Larissa and a dude is standing there wearing it. They just people started piecing it together slowly, but surely they figured out.

Speaker 1: Yeah, I was even thinking, you know, attached to your microchip is that's how they connect pictures of you. So every race we've run recently, they actually have a marathon marathon photo organization and then they it's a way for them to make money and they give you photos. So I would think that would have been a really obvious thing. Yes, when you have two men pictured with female names in the female race, yeah, that's it's hard to avoid that.

Speaker 2: And look, I don't know if the women, we don't know really what the motive was behind this, because sometimes people switch bibs. Somebody's injured and say here, you can take my spot or take my bib, and they're not trying to do anything untoward in terms of time. They're just handing off their bib. We don't know what was happening here, but they were taking credit for finishing in the top ten.
