That is where we are and the history she's talking about. Robes are saying four and a half hours is almost standard at some places. It continues folks at the airports and right now, Robes hearing from her she was testifying yesterday was not encouraging, not at.

Speaker 1: All, talking about how TSA agents are literally donating blood and plasma, sleeping in their cars because they cannot afford their lives without paychecks. That is just incredible to get your head around that these folks, many of them are working for free and they can't pay their bills. Four hundred and eighty of them have quit already. And that's understandable given what we're seeing at the airports.

Now to see some airports that have forty to fifty percent of the TSA staff call out every single day. That is just not possible. It's not sustainable. It is why you're seeing all these lines. You said this again yesterday, Robes, and we heard another official say we might have to start I say, we they might have to start closing smaller airports. We're not there yet, but how much longer can this go?

They've been exchanging these offers and counter offers, and the last one that was sent on the Democratic side was received by Republicans with these words, it's not serious, not even close to being reeled ropes. We are back at a standstill now with no off ramp that we can see.

Speaker 1: Yeah, because there was hope, there was hope that they were going to be able to fund basically everything except for ice. So take ice and deal with funding that later. But get TSA, get DHS funded except for that, and that seemed like a reasonable way forward, at least in the short term, to get these TSA workers paid, to get these lines back down to normal. And the fact that that couldn't even work, that they rejected each other's offers and counter offers on that is just mind.

It came into the part where it had to be screens, so we had to wait I think ten minutes just for somebody to get the bag. And then he looks up at the screen and says, oh, it just malfunctioned. It has to just go back through. What I've never had that happen. So then it had to go all the way back through because there was a malfunction.

Speaker 1: Yes, So he comes up to me and says, oh, this guy, this malfunction, I'm going to have to put it through. So he's taking my bag. This other woman, who is a worker, yelled at him, what are you doing over there? We need you over here. So then I didn't even know where my bag went for a while because he was being yelled at that he was needed somewhere else.

And then once we got through and got through the metal detector, we're standing on the other side. That was nothing thing coming off the belt, nothing, No bags were coming. We were just hanging out.

The White House rejected his generous offer. He's going to pay all the salaries now. Despite the President publicly saying he liked the idea, the administration later acknowledged got some legal issues here with accepting this offer.

Speaker 1: Ooh, all right, well. Press Secretary Carolyn Lovett issued this morning to Iran from the President that he is prepared to unleash hell if Iran doesn't agree to a deal. And then Trump was on true social this morning firing away saying that Irani negotiators are different and strange. I don't even know what that means. He says they're begging us to make a deal, which they should be doing, and basically said they better get serious soon before it's too late because once that happened, there is no turning back and it won't be pretty. So more threats from it to get a deal done that he said already was done. It's so confusing, but apparently the negotiators are strange. Next up on the run, the latest on that deadly collision Atlaguardi at airport that happened this week. Just a couple of passengers, thankfully remain in the hospital cruise or working to remove the wreckage from the runway.

Speaker 2: You'll remember the pilot and copilot were killed when that Air Canada flight, upon landing, rammed into an emergency vehicle that was crossing the runway. At least forty people were initially taken to the hospital for treatment, all but a few, we are told as of this morning, as of this recording have been released.

Speaker 2: Continuing on the run here now, and social media giants are taking a beating this week. Meta and YouTube have now been found liable for business practices that were harmful to kids by getting them addicted to their products.

Speaker 1: A jury awarded six million dollars in damages to a woman who claimed she became addicted to YouTube and Instagram at a young age, which she said led to her depression and suicidal thoughts. So, look, this is a big deal because this is going to set precedent for so many other lawsuits that are out there, and all eyes were on this jury to see what they would do. Google is going to appeal, Meta is looking at its options as well. But this is going to have far reaching effects.

She sat down with her and we heard from her for the first time, talk about what it was like in the moments finding out that her mom was missing, what she and her three siblings have been going through over these past fifty four days. But as you mentioned before the break the most heartbreaking part of this interview, and I can't imagine anyone made it through that without crying. Talking about the guilt she feels because she believes that she is the reason why her mom was kidnapped.

Speaker 2: She actually said the words I'm sorry mommy, right we That's something I guess Robie hadn't focused on enough in this whole situation. But to think that because of you and your position and your career and what you do, your mom is dead, that somebody, because of you, you put your mom in harm's way. Now, she gave a lot of We heard a lot of details about how she first got word about it and all these things. We detail that in another episode that's posted and going to be posted right after this one on our feed, so if you want more of the details, that will be up there for you to see. But Ropes, that was the moment, and to hear her, it was tough. She said, I'm sorry to my kids, to my nephew, to my sister, to my brother. She went through and apologized to everybody for it, and that was very difficult to see. Speaker 1: Ooh, all right, well. Press Secretary Carolyn Lovett issued this morning to Iran from the President that he is prepared to unleash hell if Iran doesn't agree to a deal. And then Trump was on true social this morning firing away saying that Irani negotiators are different and strange. I don't even know what that means. He says they're begging us to make a deal, which they should be doing, and basically said they better get serious soon before it's too late because once that happened, there is no turning back and it won't be pretty. So more threats from it to get a deal done that he said already was done. It's so confusing, but apparently the negotiators are strange. Next up on the run, the latest on that deadly collision Atlaguardi at airport that happened this week. Just a couple of passengers, thankfully remain in the hospital cruise or working to remove the wreckage from the runway.

Speaker 2: You'll remember the pilot and copilot were killed when that Air Canada flight, upon landing, rammed into an emergency vehicle that was crossing the runway. At least forty people were initially taken to the hospital for treatment, all but a few, we are told as of this morning, as of this recording have been released.

Speaker 2: Continuing on the run here now, and social media giants are taking a beating this week. Meta and YouTube have now been found liable for business practices that were harmful to kids by getting them addicted to their products.

Speaker 1: A jury awarded six million dollars in damages to a woman who claimed she became addicted to YouTube and Instagram at a young age, which she said led to her depression and suicidal thoughts. So, look, this is a big deal because this is going to set precedent for so many other lawsuits that are out there, and all eyes were on this jury to see what they would do. Google is going to appeal, Meta is looking at its options as well. But this is going to have far reaching effects.

Speaker 1: Welcome back to this Thursday morning run, and we just heard the first part of a major interview that Savannah Guthrie did with Hotocopy. She sat down with her and we heard from her for the first time, talk about what it was like in the moments finding out that her mom was missing, what she and her three siblings have been going through over these past fifty four days. But as you mentioned before the break the most heartbreaking part of this interview, and I can't imagine anyone made it through that without crying. Talking about the guilt she feels because she believes that she is the reason why her mom was kidnapped.

But to think that because of you and your position and your career and what you do, your mom is dead, that somebody, because of you, you put your mom in harm's way. Now, she gave a lot of We heard a lot of details about how she first got word about it and all these things. We detail that in another episode that's posted and going to be posted right after this one on our feed, so if you want more of the details, that will be up there for you to see. But Ropes, that was the moment, and to hear her, it was tough. She said, I'm sorry to my kids, to my nephew, to my sister, to my brother. She went through and apologized to everybody for it, and that was very difficult to see.
