But the performers are dropping like flies the day, Just two days after they announced this star studded lineup for the Big Two hundred and fifth anniversary. In the national Mall robes they announced what nine or ten performers, aren't about half of them out now.

But we're gonna be making several stops, yes, in Italy, as we mentioned, also in Florida, make a stop in Hawaii, make a stop in San Antonio. We'll also be going through Kenya and DC. Speaker 2: That should be the lower third, the chiron that they put underneath the story when you watch the news. But yes, we begin in Iran, where US and Irani and negotiators apparently have reached a tentative agreement to end the war.

Speaker 2: President Trump hasn't signed off on it, so the tentative deal is not a done deal just yet.

Speaker 1: This has been reported everywhere that there is a memorandum of understanding that would extend the ceasefire for sixty days while the two sides start another round of talks about Iran's nuclear program. It also call for the reopening of the Strait of Our Moves. They would call for them to remove the mines that are there, and then eventually the US blockade would end. But Ropes, they say, there's a deal on the table, and Trump and also the Supreme Leader need to sign off on it. Can this thing break down? We have something just to sign off on, and it's not good enough.

Speaker 2: Next up on the run, a Kenyan court has pumped the brakes on a US plan to send potential ebola patients to a quarantine facility there.

Speaker 2: The Trump the Trump administration had said, yeah, we don't want them here, and so did the Kenyan government.

Speaker 1: We're saying we don't want our people if they're sick, so we take them Kenya.

Speaker 2: So yes, the Trump administration had pre obviously said that the US was setting up a facility where US citizens would be sent if they'd been in the ebola affected region and suspected to have been exposed to abola.

Speaker 1: So that was backlash as you could imagine in Kenya, a country that does not have ebola right now, why would we introduce it into our borders? That makes sense, So there was backlash there, and then a group in Kenya sue to stop the plan, and so far they have been successful, but a judge put a stop to it. In Robes, I think they have another hearing of something else on it next week, but for now the plant is halted. And right now, reminder, they're up to two hundred and twenty plus deaths suspected in this ebola outbreak and more well over a thousand cases suspected at this point. And once again Robes they say they're still playing catch up with this.

Speaker 2: Next up on the Run in case you missed it, and we have a whole episode on this if you want some more details. But yesterday the Treasury Department showed everybody they've got a two hundred and fifty dollars bill with Trump's face on it, ready to.

Speaker 1: Go and this is for the two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. They say, but this is a legit currency. What are we going to do with a two hundred and fifty dollars bill? But yes, it has Trump's face on it. The Washington Ports reported it. Scott Bessett made comments about it yesterday and Rope stood by it. He said, I don't see anything.

Speaker 2: Untoward about having a living president's face on us currency. The only problem with that is there is a federal law against it.

And there is a piece of legislation in Congress right now proposing a two hundred and fifty dollars bill with his face on it. But yes, living presidents are not A living person isn't allowed to be put on current very good point.

Speaker 2: Yes, it's not even just presidents, it's anyone who's still alive, because we don't well, we don't immortalize people while they're living. Right, that might be a little bit well, it's a slippery slope. Next up on the Run an incredible explosion in Florida last night and Jeff Bezos isn't so happy about it. His company Blue Origin was testing its new Glen rocket last night. It was an engine firing test. It wasn't an actual launch.

Speaker 1: So it's sitting there on this launch pad and robes. I have not seen in Hollywood an explosion this type of perfectly dramatic. We should say there are no injuries involved and everybody's accounted for, So let's get that out of the way. But the rocket was supposed to be used Robes next week for a satellite launch. It was supposed to be used by NASA to take landers to the Moon, setting up a whole base there. So what does this mean. We don't know, but we did hear from Bezos and he had to admit we took an l on this one.

Speaker 2: Next up on the run, This is a positive development in Hawaii that manhunt for a suspected serial killer has finally ended. Police found thirty six year old Jacob Baker hiding in a cave on the Big Island. He was wanted for the deaths of three elderly men who were found in different locations on Monday.

Speaker 2: They had asked for the help of the public, saying he was armed and extremely dangerous and right now they do not have a motive for these series of killings.

Speaker 1: All right, continue on the run. Now, let's head to Laos get the latest there on the rescue efforts to get those men out of that cave. Rescue crews are still pumping water out of the cave before they begin that tricky process of trying to bring out those five trapped villagers. Rescue teams at hope to get the men out as early as today, but of course, once again, robes rain.

Speaker 2: Yes, a massive rainstorm has complicated those efforts and it is the rainy season. This is how those men were trapped in this cave system in the first place. With massive floodwaters spilling in, they were able to find that elevated ledge with a little bit of an airflow.

Speaker 2: I say we the rescue crews have brought food and water to them, and they just have to wait patiently as the rescue crews continue to try to pump this water out and at the same time search for those other two missing villagers who entered the cave at the same time, but in a separate group.

The outbreak killed three people aboard that cruise ship sick in some thirteen others. We don't have anyone curly with symptoms or sick here in the US.

Speaker 2: But sixty Minutes, which has been the highest rated and I think it's very fair to say the most respected news program for I don't know fifty years, Apparently that program needs a new approach.

Yes, The network editor in chief, Barry Weiss, you've been hearing that name quite a bit over the past several months, announced a new executive producer for the program and also announced robes that two correspondents were being let go. And all of these names and all of these announcements quickly got pretty strong reaction.

Speaker 2: And this is a man who has never once been a part of broadcast news in his life. He was a technology journalist and a documentary filmmaker, but again, never been in an actual news room.

Speaker 1: It's the most important news program, no experience. So again, if somebody gets an opportunity, maybe he was great in an interview. I don't know. I want to step back and give if somebod an opportunity. I don't know the guy, but Rhodes, this is the most important news show we have. And someone who has zero, zero TV news experience, that is a hell of a roll of the dicer. Hopefully they know what they're doing.

Cecilia Vega, a good friend of ours, and Sharon Alphonsi, who, if you may remember, is the one who was complaining about not being able to get her story on the air, also a very well respected journ unless both of them were fired in this shake up.

Speaker 1: Yes, they said they're taking it. They wanted to expand the sixty minutes brand or the type of reporting they do across the entire network. So they're saying they're trying to expand it in some way. All right, continuing here on the run, and a sad note out of the NHL. That league is really morning, right, now one of their all time greats. Claude Lemieux, a four times Stanley Cup champ, has died at the age of sixty. Played twenty one Seasons one championships in New Jersey, Montreal, Colorado, an all time great playoff performer. He was kind of an enforcer out there. But Robes police did confirm me died by suicide.

Speaker 2: Yes, Martina McBride is the latest artist to pull out of the sixteen day festival. It was set to celebrate America's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary. The lineup was announced on Wednesday, and already five of the nine acts have announced they are canceling their performances.

Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to stop listening to your music if you perform. I mean, there was absolute pressure online. So here's what she said on Instagram. I was presented with the opportunity to perform at a non partisan event, but that turned out to be misleading. I asked lots of questions and was assured this was a non partisan event that was meant to celebrate all fifty states. In my mind, I thought this was a great way to celebrate the states and also bring people together.

And the final round they have this lightning round at the end that they do that's been around since just twenty twenty two, I think, But he is the new champ. He's a fourteen year old kid, I believe, from Rancho Kucamonga, California. But he beat a twelve year old. So the ninety seconds in the lightning round, I hadn't seen this done before. You get ninety seconds to spell as many words as you can. He got thirty two in ninety seconds. His opponent got twenty five. But he was on file.

Speaker 2: Wow break finished third in the competition back in twenty twenty four, but this year he's gonna win fifty two thousand bucks. Two hundred and fifty kids competed over three days and his final word, by the way, was cashaw.

In Italy, a tourist, yes, sued a five star hotel because they refuse to give her tap water every she stayed there for several days. She said, every time she went she went to ask for tap water, didn't offer, so they left a bottle of fancy water on the table. There was eight bucks. So she was being charged every day.

Speaker 2: Are doing, yes, because we always talk about how toddlers and kids are full of joy and life, and they just say yeah, and they're constantly trying things and they fall and they get up and they are looking at things and they're trying to figure them out, and then they drop them and they pick them back up. Like if you actually look at kids, they're making mistakes all the time, but they're learning and they're enjoying it, Like that's part of It's not that they learn faster, but they're willing to drop the ball or screw up.

Speaker 1: This has been reported everywhere that there is a memorandum of understanding that would extend the ceasefire for sixty days while the two sides start another round of talks about Iran's nuclear program. It also call for the reopening of the Strait of Our Moves. They would call for them to remove the mines that are there, and then eventually the US blockade would end. But Ropes, they say, there's a deal on the table, and Trump and also the Supreme Leader need to sign off on it. Can this thing break down? We have something just to sign off on, and it's not good enough.

Speaker 2: Next up on the run, a Kenyan court has pumped the brakes on a US plan to send potential ebola patients to a quarantine facility there.

Speaker 2: The Trump the Trump administration had said, yeah, we don't want them here, and so did the Kenyan government.

Speaker 2: So yes, the Trump administration had pre obviously said that the US was setting up a facility where US citizens would be sent if they'd been in the ebola affected region and suspected to have been exposed to abola.

Speaker 1: So that was backlash as you could imagine in Kenya, a country that does not have ebola right now, why would we introduce it into our borders? That makes sense, So there was backlash there, and then a group in Kenya sue to stop the plan, and so far they have been successful, but a judge put a stop to it. In Robes, I think they have another hearing of something else on it next week, but for now the plant is halted. And right now, reminder, they're up to two hundred and twenty plus deaths suspected in this ebola outbreak and more well over a thousand cases suspected at this point. And once again Robes they say they're still playing catch up with this.

But yes, it has Trump's face on it. The Washington Ports reported it. Scott Bessett made comments about it yesterday and Rope stood by it. He said, I don't see anything.

But yes, living presidents are not A living person isn't allowed to be put on current very good point.

Right, that might be a little bit well, it's a slippery slope. Next up on the Run an incredible explosion in Florida last night and Jeff Bezos isn't so happy about it. His company Blue Origin was testing its new Glen rocket last night. It was an engine firing test. It wasn't an actual launch.

Speaker 1: So it's sitting there on this launch pad and robes. I have not seen in Hollywood an explosion this type of perfectly dramatic. We should say there are no injuries involved and everybody's accounted for, So let's get that out of the way. But the rocket was supposed to be used Robes next week for a satellite launch. It was supposed to be used by NASA to take landers to the Moon, setting up a whole base there. So what does this mean. We don't know, but we did hear from Bezos and he had to admit we took an l on this one.

Speaker 2: Next up on the run, This is a positive development in Hawaii that manhunt for a suspected serial killer has finally ended. Police found thirty six year old Jacob Baker hiding in a cave on the Big Island. He was wanted for the deaths of three elderly men who were found in different locations on Monday.

Speaker 2: They had asked for the help of the public, saying he was armed and extremely dangerous and right now they do not have a motive for these series of killings.

Speaker 1: All right, continue on the run. Now, let's head to Laos get the latest there on the rescue efforts to get those men out of that cave. Rescue crews are still pumping water out of the cave before they begin that tricky process of trying to bring out those five trapped villagers. Rescue teams at hope to get the men out as early as today, but of course, once again, robes rain.

Speaker 2: Yes, a massive rainstorm has complicated those efforts and it is the rainy season. This is how those men were trapped in this cave system in the first place. With massive floodwaters spilling in, they were able to find that elevated ledge with a little bit of an airflow.

Speaker 2: I say we the rescue crews have brought food and water to them, and they just have to wait patiently as the rescue crews continue to try to pump this water out and at the same time search for those other two missing villagers who entered the cave at the same time, but in a separate group.

Yes, The network editor in chief, Barry Weiss, you've been hearing that name quite a bit over the past several months, announced a new executive producer for the program and also announced robes that two correspondents were being let go. And all of these names and all of these announcements quickly got pretty strong reaction.

Speaker 2: And this is a man who has never once been a part of broadcast news in his life. He was a technology journalist and a documentary filmmaker, but again, never been in an actual news room.

Speaker 1: Yes, they said they're taking it. They wanted to expand the sixty minutes brand or the type of reporting they do across the entire network. So they're saying they're trying to expand it in some way. All right, continuing here on the run, and a sad note out of the NHL. That league is really morning, right, now one of their all time greats. Claude Lemieux, a four times Stanley Cup champ, has died at the age of sixty. Played twenty one Seasons one championships in New Jersey, Montreal, Colorado, an all time great playoff performer. He was kind of an enforcer out there. But Robes police did confirm me died by suicide.

I was presented with the opportunity to perform at a non partisan event, but that turned out to be misleading. In my mind, I thought this was a great way to celebrate the states and also bring people together.

He's a fourteen year old kid, I believe, from Rancho Kucamonga, California. But he beat a twelve year old. So the ninety seconds in the lightning round, I hadn't seen this done before. You get ninety seconds to spell as many words as you can. He got thirty two in ninety seconds. His opponent got twenty five. But he was on file.

In Italy, a tourist, yes, sued a five star hotel because they refuse to give her tap water every she stayed there for several days. Like if you actually look at kids, they're making mistakes all the time, but they're learning and they're enjoying it, Like that's part of It's not that they learn faster, but they're willing to drop the ball or screw up.
