Speaker 4: Like, Yeah, hello to you all. I'm DJ Holmes here. This is our last West Coast Morning Run. I say only West Coast Morning Run because we happen to be on the West Coast here for a wonderful event in Napa.

Speaker 4: If you haven't heard about this, they call it the Coachella of Napa Valley, and it is. It is very, very sophisticated fun it is.

Speaker 1: It's still appointed everywhere you look. It's almost like the Disneyland of for adults. I would say, of music festivals and wine, clean food. It's but every There was never, never any trash, never any disturbances. It was family friendly, it was fun, it was interesting. It was there was wonderful music and food and yes, wine and other beverages.

Speaker 4: And we got to close out and last night by seeing Cool In the Gang, Big X, the Plug Somber and then the Backstreet Boys.

Speaker 4: So yes, here we are as we start summer now here on this last Monday of May. A reminder this all started, of course, Memorial Day to honor those who have fought and served and died for this country. Ropes I didn't realized this also came with controversy over the years, but it was the honor of the war dead. This was started back in eighteen sixty eight, but then nineteen seventy one, Congress moved it to the last Monday in May, giving everybody a three day weekend. And they say that's when the weekend started to lose, or the date started to lose some of the real messaging because it became what a three day weekend. It became a barbecue festival, It became a time to go buy a new mattress because there was sales or whatever.

Speaker 4: So they say it took a little away from it. But we know, look, enjoy the time, enjoy the family time, but still remember what the day is all about. And the day is starting for a lot of people trying to get back home. We're doing the same. We're flying with the majority of people were hitting the road, and a lot of people chose not to hit the road. Robes and it makes sense why we took a run yesterday. And I actually took out my phone and took a picture at the gas station, it's like six seventy for gas.

Speaker 1: It's insane over here. Yes, this is the highest gas prices we've seen on Memorial Day since twenty twenty two. We are now at four dollars and fifty cents a gallon nashally, but yes, here in California it is significantly higher.

All right, We're going to continue our run now and head overseas with the latest on the Ebola outbreak, which is now the second largest on record two hundred and twenty suspected deaths right now. That is a significant jump plus nine hundred at least more than nine hundred suspected casestful.

Speaker 4: You don't want to hear words like playing ketchup right, the World Health Organization one officials saying they are now playing ketchup ropes. They're still trying to get a handle on when this thing started. They certainly think they're days, maybe even weeks behind it, they say, potentially mon months behind when the outbreak started. And we are seeing now this is I think a third incident of a medical tent or facility. They're being burned down or coming under attack because some folks show up with armed and they want their dead and to be able to take them home and bury them, and other people are just scared burning these places down.

Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, they all want a traditional funerals and they don't. They want their the bodies of their loved ones, and that's not protocol when you have an ebola outbreak. And so yes, it has led to violence and then folks who are suspected ebola patients are now running in fear for their lives because you have angry folks trying to come take their dead and burning down the facility.

Speaker 4: That was one of the scariest things we read. You meansa being where I saw that report yesterday that one of these places came under attack. You had eighteen suspected ebola patients who just took off running, yeah, for their lives, just fled and now they're just out there in the wind. Nobody knows where. That's what they're up again. So it really really scary scene. But they keep tellings Robes, the risk is very low to the global community.

Speaker 1: Alrighty then all right, next up on the run. They are still working here in Kali to stop a potential disaster. This is actually happening south of US in southern California. This has been all over the news here Locally, fifty thousand people have been evacuated from this area. Emergency crews have been working throughout the weekend to relieve pressure on a chemical tank.

Speaker 4: The pictures are remarkable because you're looking at it and firefighters are spraying water on this thing. You kind of see kind of steam coming off, and they are literally waiting for this thing to potentially explode. It's frightening, or there might be a chemical leak. But this is Garden Grove, forty miles south of Los Angeles. But this chemical tank at this plant overheated and it's at risk now of either exploding or leaking. Either scenario is awful. But I didn't know the company. A lot of people don't GNX aerospace transparency systems.

They say the crack could possibly relieve some of the pressure could be a good thing.

That's how they explain what's happening right now.

No law enforcement injuries were reported, but the person was identified the suspect that the twenty one year old man they said that does have a mental health history and was also somebody known to law enforcement. We do understand road was a bystander was hit, but we not sure the condition or who actually shot that person. The president was we should mention at the White House at the time.

But I did not know or I at least forgotten during the campaign here ropes, but he was He was adopted by Senator McCain. Doug McCain was adopted when Senator McCain married Carol Shep, who was the woman he was married to before Cindy McCain that we know so much about during all the campaigning. But he married Carol Shep. She had a son, and Simon mcain adopted him in nineteen sixty six. Doug mccainne he was part of his life and his legacy and his campaigns and everything else all this time.

But Robes, the clear hit maybe of the year, is the movie we were raving about last week.

But now, how about a horror movie that was in the top three the first week, bested only by Michael and Devilware's Part of two in its second weekend. So for it to go up in its second weekend, that talks about the quality of this film, the word of mouth, the power of the word of mouth.
