Speaker 1: Morning, That's right, And maybe all eyes were on that plane as it landed carrying seventeen Americans who were on that Haunt of Virus cruise ship.

Speaker 1: US early this morning, and unfortunately two of the Americans on board that plane are sick.

Speaker 3: Yeah, the plane landed in Nebraska. The reason it's there is because the University of Nebraska has a federally funded quarantine unit considered one of certainly the best in the country, but maybe even one of the best in the world. One American tested mildly is how they put it, mildly positive for the hantavirus, and another began showing mild symptoms. Robes. You pointed out they use mile a whole lot these.

Speaker 1: Days, really trying to quell fears out there. Meanwhile, a French woman who was also a passenger on the ship got sick on her way home and now is said to be in pretty bad shape. She actually, yes, tested positive for the hauntavirus. So we know that yes, two people now who left that ship, one in America one in France, have confirmed cases of the Andy strain of the hauntavirus. So that makes now at least twelve people who've either been confirmed or have suspected cases of hauntavirus, including the three who died.

Speaker 3: I continue on the run here now. Believe it or not, there's another six ship out there, another sick cruise ship floating around. The CDC says more than one hundred people are sick with neurovirus aboard a Caribbean Princess Cruise.

Speaker 1: That ship is in the Atlantic right now, scheduled to end its journey today in Port Canaveral, Florida. The sick folks are exhibiting really, they're thankfully not typically deadly symptoms, but they're tough ones, like vomiting, diarrhea, like feeling incredibly ill. I've had neurovirus once in my life. It was one of the worst things I've ever experienced.

Speaker 3: Wow, blame the kids. Yep, and the kids blame the parents. The cycle continues, continuing on the run here now. President Trump didn't seem to like Iran's latest offer to end the war, and apparently didn't like it at all Ropes.

Speaker 1: There's been weeks of back and forth after the President declared an indefinite ceasefire last month. The President responded to Iran's latest offer via truth Social saying I have just read the response from Iran's so called representatives.

Speaker 3: Well, you put representatives in quotes. He was saying, they're talking to the right people. Now now he's dismissing it as so called representatives.

Speaker 3: Okay, So the President didn't explain exactly what he took issue with in their proposal, but the proposal reportedly includes reparations, unfreezing of their assets, lifting of sanctions, total control over the straight over moves, and nothing about the nuclear program. So I guess that even I know this is kind of a non starter.

Speaker 1: It's actually giving them a better advantage than they had before the war begins.

Speaker 3: It's what it looks like to me, So where does those leapers Now we're just in this stalemate of a ceasefire with the war not actually over yet. There is no next plan when our talks, when's the next proposal? We are just in an indefinite states of limbo.

Speaker 1: Okay, Well, Next up on the run, the NTSB is still trying to identify that person who was killed walking across a runway at the Denver Airport over the weekend.

Speaker 3: Yeah, Frontier Airlines jet was taking off late Friday. It was headed to la The pilot reported over the radio. You could hear it plain day. You say, quote, we just hit somebody told say the person jumped a fence at the airport, walked across the runway. Don't know why. And right now robes they still don't know who there is a man. There's some night video of it, and you see this individual. You're like, what is that person doing out there? It's eleven twenty at night on a runway. It's so confusing, But but yet I still don't know who the person is.

Speaker 1: But in the meantime, Next up on the run, there's been a significant development in the case of a Michigan woman who went missing in the Bahamas. We're talking about Lynette Hooker. She reportedly fell off a dinghy, that's according to her husband, Brian, while the two were on a ride together.

Speaker 3: I remember how this went. It sounded a little suspect to some people. It wasn't quite dark out, but this was during sunset. They go out in this dinghy, he says, she falls off. They get separated. She has the key, so he couldn't. He has to paddle back himself. And she swam all he says she was swimming, did he not.

Speaker 1: He's said she was swimming towards the sailboat last he saw her. And look, according to her mother or her daughter, this is a woman, Lennette Hooker, who is an excellent.

Speaker 3: Swimmer, all right, and they're supposed to know what she does out there on the water. Now you mentioned swimming towards a sailboat. That sailboat is key. Now we'll remind you. Brian Hooker was detained for a short time after her disappearance, but police eventually let him go without charging him. The Coast Guard US Coast Guard has now seized that sailboat that the Hookers use while they were in the Bahamas. The name of it is Soul Made. But this is I guess we're open, right, the one she would have been swimming towards and the one they had been using.

Speaker 1: And so yes, there has been increased activity in the investigation over the past week or so. Just because Bahamian authorities had to release Brian Hooker because they didn't have enough evidence to charge him with anything. They said this very clearly that that did not mean the investigation was over. They still haven't found Lynette Hooker, but they are still trying to figure out what how, and there are interviews happening with there was a nearby boat. There's a lot of activity going on. So we're going to keep our eye on that developing story.

Speaker 1: The headline comes to us from Energy Secretary Chris Wright, who was specifically asked on Sunday about the possibility of lifting the eighteen cents per gallon tax temporarily as Americans are dealing with much much higher gas prices. Right.

This is how he responded, quote, all measures that can be taken to lower the price at the pump and lower the prices for Americans, this administration is in support of. Now, maybe Ropes, that was a little vague. You might have followed up. So what you're saying is, And after the follow up was asked, he said, quote, we're open to all ideas.

That is significant. In California. Still in the six is paying the highest six dollars and fifteen cents a gallon.

Speaker 3: So that eighteen cents we talked about, you would still be around six dollars a gallon in California. So I guess every little bit help, but it is kind of a drop in the bucket. Maybe it would be symbolic to do so. But three places in the country are below four dollars per gallon. That's just Mississippi, Arkansas and Oklahoma, the only three in the country right now.

If anybody you've been listening to us, you know, been fans of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. That's a weird thing to say. It's the Transportation secretary. It's not exactly the person with you know. I can't remember another one. Buddha judge, he was a it was a big right he was. He was kind of a historic one. But we don't remember these guys. But we thought he ropes certainly doing the shutdown and when TSA workers were struggling. We gave him credit for how he has been handling press conferences, Yes and answer questions.

Speaker 1: Got a government official at the top of the transport. It just seems like a colossal waste of time, money, and like, shouldn't you be focused on I don't know your job. So Duffy and his wife Rachel, who was a Fox News host, shot a five part reality series called The Great American Road Trip where they take their kids across the country to celebrate the country's two hundred and fiftieth anniversary.

It was immediately met with criticism for being tone deaf so former ah Buddha judge, former transportation secretary. He called it quote brutally out of touch for him to be quote making a documentary about himself while regular families can't afford road trips anymore.

Speaker 1: That's a really good point, it has to be pointed out. Yes, and Duffy, by the way, a former reality TV guy. I don't know if I knew this. He was a cast member of Real World Boston on MTV back in nineteen ninety seven. He also did road Rules All Stars, which is where he met his wife. So it is now, it's a lot makes a lot more sense why he's been so good at like, yes, you know, communicating like in a very I guess modern way with folks.

It's supposed to be promotional for the country, if you will.

It's now earned four hundred and thirty three million dollars in its first two weekends. There was another new movie that came out Mortal Kombat too. Folks are excited about this. These movies do fairly well. But it was number two with forty million, and then Michael was number three. It's still pulling it in but has done in total almost six hundred million around the world. So how was it? How was it? Devil was product too? Tell me? Tell me how is Emily Blunt? How was Emily Blunt?
