We got to make a stop in New Orleans, also in Los Angeles, make a stop down in Destin Florida as well in Pittsburgh as well as d C. Our first stop, though, Robes is essentially going to be in the Old Office where yesterday we got some updates from the President that had some some folks doing exactly what you just did.

He started out by saying this would be done, and we're gonna have this wrapped up in weeks. He started saying days, A couple of points and roads. We had heard him say soon, very soon, a lot, but now he is saying no hurry at all. And he did this and a gaggle of reporters in the Opal Office yesterday.

He's told them that he has no timeline whatsoever a deal with Iran, suggesting Iran's leaders are the ones who are under pressure to get a deal done. And by the way, this was the big headline for me. He very clearly stated, we don't know who the leader of Iran is right now, the headline deeply concerning.

Speaker 1: This is a disturbing situation again out of Louisiana. In just a matter of days, we're talking about another mass shooting. One teenager was killed, another five others were wounded in a shooting.

Speaker 2: And of all places, you can think of them all everybody, I say, mall, food court. You can picture that scene, that chaos. But this is where they said it happened. They said it started with an argument between two groups. So this was not a random act of violence. These were two groups that got into it. So the words led to gun fire. This was in Baton Rouge at the Mall of Louisiana. Several bystanders got caught up in this, but they do have five suspects in custody. And again we talk about New Orleans. The shooting in Shreveport was last week with the eight kids shot. But then what was it New Year's around the right, they had the attack in the street during right before a Bowl game. Yep, down there, like New Orleans has been through.

Yeah, So this has been unfortunately, they have been making national headlines from gun violence recently and certainly not the way they want to go. So next up on the Run, we'll talk about another big talker of the day, a US Special Forces soldier who participated. He actually was in the planning and in the execution of that Venezuela raid.

Essentially, they just walked in and said this is where we are and kind of worked out some scheduling, but the lawyers for David are trying to press prosecutors to show their hands, show their evidence that they have against him and the death of fourteen year olds Celeste reebus Hernandez who's dismembered and decomposing body Rose was found in the trunk of his abandoned car last September.

Speaker 1: Yes, So, David, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has been charged with her murder and pleaded not guilty earlier this week. But something that came out in court yesterday that certainly made headlines. The police say they found what they called a significant amount of child pornography on his devices. They didn't get specific as to whether or not that was of Celeste or of other miners, but certainly a deeply concerning announcement there. Also we learned that May first, we're to be learning a lot more about this case. That is when that preliminary hearing will take place, and that is when we are expecting to hear the majority of the evidence prosecutors have accumulated against David, and they say it's quite a bit and it's they're ready for it.

Speaker 2: May first, that it's going to be almost a mini trial where they're laying out and the judge is going to design whether or not the case even goes for it high stakes in that next week. Continuing here on the run of former police officer is in jail this morning, charge for planning a mass shooting at a music festival ware Roads in New Orleans, of all places. And this festival is happening this week is happening still this weekend.

Christopher Gillen was arrested in the destined area, but police say he was planning to drive to Louisiana for this weekend's jazz fest. This is a huge weekend in New Orleans. I've always wanted to attend. I have it yet because it is I mean, this is what the city is known for. But Gilliam had a gun. He had two hundred rounds of ammunition on him at the time of his arrest. Look, this guy was a former North Carolina police officer and this is what he planned to do.

Speaker 1: Next up on the run, a major marijuana move by the Trump administration. The DOJ has now reclassified medical marijuana as a less dangerous drug. So it's going to go from being a Schedule one drug to a Schedule three drug.

It had been marijuana, medical marijuana at least in the same class of drugs as heroin, and plenty of folks has been yelling for years, Robes, that makes no sense. What this means now, it's not changing the legal status. The federal government is not all of a sudden finding all marijuana legal. What this does, though, is loosen up some restrictions robes on the industry and also clears the way for more research. But really what this means is you see the federal government not going the direction of restricting marijuana war. They're going the direction of loosening things up, which bodes well just for the movement, if you will, of making sure marijuana eventually is legal for every life.

And also they're spending so much money elsewhere on AI that they can't afford these folks. Now that sucks.

This was in Baton Rouge at the Mall of Louisiana. Several bystanders got caught up in this, but they do have five suspects in custody. And again we talk about New Orleans. The shooting in Shreveport was last week with the eight kids shot. But then what was it New Year's around the right, they had the attack in the street during right before a Bowl game. Also we learned that May first, we're to be learning a lot more about this case.
