We're gonna be making stops on this run today in South Carolina in Newport News, Virginia, and the Democratic Republic of Congo in Colorado, will make a stop in Japan and in the UK. Speaker 3: The latest on that deadly shooting out of San Diego mosque yesterday. Police say two teenagers are responsible.

Speaker 1: They say they shot and killed three people at the Islamic Center yesterday morning, then drove away shot at a landscaper nearby. He is okay, though the suspects were found a short time after that in the car with self inflicted gunshot rooms.

Speaker 3: The suspects were just seventeen and eighteen years old, and police say the seventeen year old's mother called nine one one earlier in the day saying her son was suicidal, had taken off with her car, was with a companion dressed in camo and had guns with him.

Speaker 1: So as we were seeing the news yesterday as this breaking news story and a developing situation, we didn't know at the time that police all morning had been on the hunt for these two and were not able to track them down before they shot and killed three people at this center. The motive robes it wasn't immediately clear, but what was it they found.

Speaker 3: They found Well, they said they found some hate speech inscribed on some of the weapons, and then they also saw a racially like racial pride writing. This is how they put it, but they said they would give more specific details later. The numbers of deaths associated with this outbreak has surged. Meanwhile, an American doctor has now tested positive for the disease.

Speaker 1: And yeah, that doctor is Peter Stafford. He was working in the DRC as a medical missionary. He's there with his family, wife, a doctor as well. He has developed symptoms. Now, these folks, a number of Americans Rope helped me with the numbers of the six or seven total with they believe are exposed went to Germany, seven total. So they have now taken to Germany to get treatment. Now, this current outbreak has claimed at least one hundred and thirty one lives with at least five hundred plus suspected cases in robes. Some of the language doctors CDC, WHU or HO are now using are flat out terrifying.

Speaker 3: This is according to state health officials, and given what's been going on with the hauntavirus cruise ship, because we still have folks quarantining all throughout this country. So yeah, you hear this headline about a Colorado death, you're concerned.

Speaker 1: However, the state health officials say the death is not connected to that cruise ship in any way. This was a locally exposed person to rodents. All right, So just a handful of cases we do have in the US every year, they say anywhere from a dozen to a couple dozen of these cases, so they pop up. We just rode between Abola and Hunt of virus. Lately we see this death and like, whoa, what is going on? But again not connected. We do have forty plus people still in the US being monitored who are connected to that ship.

Speaker 1: This was an incident back in twenty twenty three at Richneck Elementary in Newport News, Virginia. The teacher was shot in the hand in chest. She survived, and then late last year, the teacher won a ten million dollar judgment in a civil trial.

Speaker 3: So Parker is facing eight counts of child endangerment and could get up to forty years in prison. Prosecutors alleged she was told that this six year old had a gun in his backpat several times, but did nothing about it, and so it was her inaction that led to this teacher being shot.

Speaker 1: And we do believe this is the first case of its kind. We've had parents be hauled in de court, we've had police officers. The first time we seen administrator, we do believe continue on the run here now. Alex Murdoch is suing the court clerk who worked his double murder trial.

Speaker 3: Murdaw's twenty twenty three conviction for the shooting deaths of his wife and his twenty two year old son were thrown out last week, and primarily because the court ruled that clerk tried to influence the jury against Murda, denying him a fair trial.
