Speaker 1: But this is gonna be a good Morning Run. We need this one something. We are recording here this morning, folks, before the Golden Globe nominees are announced, the big day in Hollywood. I don't even know what to keep an eye on. I just I'm not up on everything going on necessarily and entertainment. Who are the front runners and all that stuff.

Also, a big weekend for the box office. Congratulations, this has been kind of a slow stretch for them. These self driving taxis we saw a bunch in La over the weekend. Well, apparently they need to be recalled at least a part of their software because they have been doing a major no no on the roads.

Speaker 2: I'm telling you we can get into this, but this was the first time I actually noticed and paid attention to those Waymo cars and we were sitting outside and watching multiple ones just drive by with no one at the wheel. Weird, the freakiest thing I have ever seen.

A worker at Cinnabon, of all places, in Wisconsin, is fired after our video of her goes viral in which she says some of the nastiest stuff you can imagine, a racist rant. But now Robes turns out she is getting a lot of support in the tune of thousands and thousands.

We kind of want to go back to the West Coast that we just came back from, because, yeah, it's load mid eighties in southern California. We kept hearing the meteorologists talk about this wonderful warm up that was coming. Is we were heading back into a polar vortex.

Speaker 1: Yeah, that's exactly what we find ourself in right now. Yeah, the upper Midwest of the northeast mid Atlantic are embracing, not embracing, excuse me, they are experiencing.

And just overnight, just a matter from yesterday to today, a lot of major cities over here are seeing a double digit drop in temperatures and we are barely here, at least in New York Robe it's going to be getting above freezing for several days.

Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the first of three rounds of arctic air that we are going to see. It's all part of Yes, a displaced polar vortex. Can it find its place away from us anyway? It's going to push another blo cold air next week, and then another one the week after that, So everyone is going to be in the holiday spirits here in this neck of the woods. But yes, a polar vortex, In case you were wondering, it feels like it's self explanatory, but.

Speaker 2: I just know that means it's going to be super cold, and it's coming from the Arctic region, so a wide expanse of cold, swirling air located over the poles that forces frigid air southward.

Speaker 1: Yeah, they say it's displaced where it gets a little unstable and stuff starts coming our way, And we got three rounds of it over the next few weeks. Also today, keeping an eye on a couple of courtrooms as we say, A testimony scheduled to resume in the trial of Brian Walsh, the Massachusetts man who is admitted to dismembering and disposing of his wife's body but says he did not kill her. Last week was the first full week of testimony. A lot of it focused on a lot of the internet searches he was doing in the immediate aftermath of her death, trying to suggest that maybe did he kill her, did he not? And they're trying to piece all that together so that testimony will resume this morning.

The judge said on Friday when she let urers go that there should be possibly another two weeks or a little bit ahead of schedule, but two more full weeks of testimony, so that should be interesting. They may be getting this decision in their hands the week of Christmas, so we'll see how that all times out. Also today, Luigi Manngioni, the accused United Healthcare CEO shooter, is back in court today to continue pre trial hearings. He was actually supposed to do that on Friday, but he got sick, so they had to postpone it and push it to today. But his attorneys right now trying to get some evidence thrown out, including very important evidence to the prosecution's case, contents of that backpack, which included that three D printed gun he was carrying when he was arrested at that McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's not like you're an airline pilot and you just show up with the smell of alcohol in your breath and maybe you get reprimanded. This is Cinnabon. I assume there's a lower standard for getting fired. But this woman has now been fired immediately, and it's all because of a video that's now gone viral. Rose we saw this video. It is pretty vile, disgusting stuff. But she's working at a Cinabon and there's a couple that we don't see, but we hear this woman, this white woman, certainly appears to be a white woman, say some pretty nasty stuff to this couple.

Speaker 2: Yeah, she admits full out right away, I'm a racist. This was a Somali couple. What we don't see is what happened before the couple decided to start recording on it, and you hear him taunting her at one point and saying, you're going to get effing fired for this, But she was not backing down and doubled down and started calling them the N word and flicked them off. All sorts of vile, vulgar, completely inappropriate behavior by this woman who was working at Sinnabon. So yes, Cinnabon fired her and put out this statement. The individual scene in the video was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions and statements are completely unacceptable and in no way reflects the value of Cinnabon, our French franchise, franchisees, or the welcoming environment we expect for every guest and team member. So there's that, but then turn to give send to go. It's a Christian crowdfunding page that we have seen something similar actually, but yes, there has been a rally of support behind her to the tune of ninety thousand dollars in counting.

Speaker 2: Something I have it in front of me. It says, meet Crystal, hardworking white mom doing her job at cinnabon. Two Somali customers decide to make her shift hell with intimidation. Instead of banning the offenders and backing their employees, Sinnabon fires Crystal to keep the nons happy. We're not letting this slide funds go to making sure Crystal lands on her feet after this betrayal. No white person should lose their job for refusing to be harassed by some mollies. And then it shows her smiling with her cinnabon, looking sweet, with her blonde hair tied up in a bun. She looks like a very sweet mom, just working hard.

Speaker 1: There you go, all right, continuing on the run here now. President Trump was hosting the Kennedy Center Honors last night. Of course, over the years, we usually see the president sitting in the audience for these things, but last night was the first time rose that a president has ever served as host. And we saw what Fox News had coverage of him on the red carpet, and he was walking that carpet, held a full dawn press conference for the most part as he walked, But he was in his element. It just sometimes he has a good energy, a good vibe. He's kind of upbeat, and he just likes this celebrity thing and it's a TV show kind of He was in his He was in his element.

Speaker 2: Although I have to say that we weren't privy to who was on the red carpet with him. But the questions that were being asked were right, just they were perfect for him, right.

I guess it was thematically appropriate given what he was doing and where he was going. But Sylvester Stallone, Michael Crawford of Phantom of the Opera Fame, George Strait, Gloria Gaynor Kiss all were honored. And this is the first time Trump even attended, right, He never attended this during his first term, essentially boycott it until he was the host. And you know what, it will be very fascinating. This all airs on CBS on December twenty third, so we will see the President take on hosting duties for the Kennedy Center Awards in the coming.

Now remember this wasn't long ago. A couple of months back, we were talking about how they were changing their policies to where if you're not a US citizen. Yeah, international travelers visiting our parks, we're going to be paying up to one hundred dollars more for their tickets. So they were changing some.

MLK Day and June teenth will no longer be free days. Beforehand, those were the days among several where visitors don't have to pay for admission. So now on MLK Day and juneteenth you're going to have to pay.

Now, this is the second year of this expanded twelve team playoff ropes. There were, you know, the smaller playoffs before fourteen six teams and somebody was always upset. Whoever got left out got upset. So he expanded to twelve. We thought we'd solve some of these problems.

The company is planning a recall to address numerous reports of the cars ignoring warnings and passing stopped school buses roads. We all know that is a major, major no.

But you know, had a good got some pick me up with Wicket of course, had good thanksgivings Utopia, so things are looking good. And now they had another great weekend with another sequel, Five Nights at Freddy's two. It exceeded all expectations had made sixty three million dollars in the US.

Also today, Luigi Manngioni, the accused United Healthcare CEO shooter, is back in court today to continue pre trial hearings. He was actually supposed to do that on Friday, but he got sick, so they had to postpone it and push it to today. But his attorneys right now trying to get some evidence thrown out, including very important evidence to the prosecution's case, contents of that backpack, which included that three D printed gun he was carrying when he was arrested at that McDonald's in Pennsylvania.

All sorts of vile, vulgar, completely inappropriate behavior by this woman who was working at Sinnabon. So yes, Cinnabon fired her and put out this statement. The individual scene in the video was immediately terminated by the franchise owner. Their actions and statements are completely unacceptable and in no way reflects the value of Cinnabon, our French franchise, franchisees, or the welcoming environment we expect for every guest and team member. So there's that, but then turn to give send to go. It's a Christian crowdfunding page that we have seen something similar actually, but yes, there has been a rally of support behind her to the tune of ninety thousand dollars in counting.
