Since this is the first time since the ceasefire was put in place, Iran and Israel are now trading stroke and this is what is perhaps the most worrying escalation we have seen in weeks. Israel first attacked Iran backed Hezbla in Lebanon, and then Iran retaliated by firing at Israel. Israel then responded by firing at Iranian targets. And that is where we are.

Speaker 1: Yes, I think that's what we call the Tit for tat is what's happening right now. We stand by and we wait, and this all happens as we are rather unclear of where negotiations are right now. The President says they move forward. He's been saying since last week that we could have one any day. He said we could have one by the weekend that was last this previous weekend. That is where we are. We're going to continue now. On the run in a mass shooting in Toledo on Saturday, and police say Robes the shooter is still on the loose this morning.

Speaker 2: That's right. Twelve people were shot at the Old West End festival. The victims, who police say are now all in stable condition, range in age from fourteen to sixty one to three of them were teenagers, but most of the victims were people in their twenty.

Speaker 1: This is some kind of music festival that included they said. Home tours are part of it as well. But yeah, it's a big deal there. But most of the folks, when you go through the ages, this is a young person's whatever it was. But a lot of them were in their twenties. Police believe get this, two people were shooting at each other and then the bystanders are the ones that end up getting hit.

Next up on the Run, Testimony resumes today in the high profile murder trial of Carmelo Anthony. He's the Texas teen on trial for stabbing seventeen year old Austin Metcalf. It all happened at a high school track meet last year.

Speaker 1: This trial is really moving along. Remember opening statements were on Thursday. The prosecution has now already rested its case after calling several witnesses who did see the confrontation and they have refuted Carmelo's claim of self defense and Robes. They rested their case. The prosecution in a rare Saturday court session. You don't see that much, but the judge wants to keep this thing kind of moving is moving.

Speaker 2: Yeah, it certainly is. As you mentioned in prosecution rested its case at two pm on Saturday. The defense even called its first witness before they wrapped for the day. And yes, the court resumes this morning and the defense will continue to call witnesses. But the jury could have this case by this week.

Speaker 1: Continuing on the run here now, we're going to make a stop in the Philippines where there was a powerful earthquake that struck there, killing at least sixteen people. It was a seven point eight magnitude quake happened around seven thirty in the morning, centered offshore, did trigger tsunami warning some of those, as of this recording, are still in place. They're still keeping an eye on that. But some of the video robes we've seen it's pretty extraordinary buildings actually collapse, collapsing.

Speaker 2: All right, Moving on back here to home. Actually in New York City, next up on the run, six people were injured in a stat attack. This took place at our country's busiest train station yesterday. This is some scary stuff. Polease got a report of multiple people slashed last night. At New York's Penn Station. They were all transported to the hospital and one of them actually is described as being in serious condition.

Speaker 1: Yeah, and police say this is not this wasn't targeted, nobody was gone after and this and there's no continued threat to the public. They do have this suspect in custody, and they do say this was a random attack. On local affiliate here is reporting this was a homeless man with some emotional distress of some kind going on. But ropes we go through that, We go through subway. You go through subway all the time, and it can be a little nerve racking and a little dangerous, and things happen. Penn Station is a massive place where all that stuff kind of converges and all those people do this is terrifying.

It's a fun twist on Brigadoon and they just have a blast with it, kind of in the same vein as Titanique, Like you're taking something and then you put a parody twist on it. And that's what Schmigadoon is. Liberation one for Best New Play. Have not heard of that, but Ragtime is a is an old staple, And yes, it won for New Musical Revival, so that that'd be a fun one to watch too.

It's picked up some one hundred and five million total worldwide for a spoof a party horror movie. This is the sixth one in there in the franchise. But that's we're going to see this.

I just appreciate the fact that people can just go in there and know this is going to be the one of the silliest things you've seen probably all year long, but also just love that there's the scary movie twist to it too.
