First, we’re still not sure whether or not Sincere and Melanie are a couple and we’re still not sure we believe Carl and Aniya ever were one (they claim they are). The drama broke out when Sol began complaining again about her treatment in the villa, but was humiliated after producers showed never before seen clips that proved otherwise. We also discuss the obvious media training KC, Titi, Corbin and Parmida had before the reunion, and Dylan proved to T.J. once again why he is not a fan of Kenzie’s guy.

But, my goodness, usually... when you've had some time to reflect, and maybe even have time to watch back, what was good, what was bad, what didn't come off the way you thought it would, you do some soul searching, and you come to the reunion with better perspective, maybe you have some apologies ready to go, and you make amends, and you move forward with a clean slate.

I don't know what happened, but folks, a lot of you have seen it by now, but the season eight reunion was, is it fair? It's about two people for the most part, Melanie and Saul. I guess most of the headlines, most of the moments, is that fair to say, were between them? that Melanie had them and Soul had them?

They always seemed like, yes, it started out as a friendship. I think people don't believe that can actually happen. You can actually just like each other, not immediately think, wow, I've got the hots for her. But you actually like, I like this person. This person's interesting. And then feelings develop. It's real.

I would say that Melanie and Sincere are together, but they're not boyfriend and girlfriend. They're not exclusive. She's kind of in that prove it to me that you're actually into me and you are here for me stage. And so she's allowing him to develop trust. But they were holding hands. She was looking at him lovingly. She wants to be with him. And despite what everyone says to her, she was definitely loving the jet blue. You know, we'll give you a free trip anywhere if you leave that man. Her sister coming at her saying, please don't be with him. She wants to be with him. And she wants him to prove that he wants to be with her.

None of her personality, even the little sparks, she didn't have to be taking on anybody. None of that thing came through. And who knows, this had to be edited in a certain way. Maybe some stuff got left out. But those two exchanged... Very muted pleasantries.

Speaker 2: So yes they walk out and all of a sudden in fact how it opened up i did think it was cute it was a lot the red carpet and they're in la but their awe of being like mega stars at least for this moment in time it was kind of cute they were like what is this bryce and zach were like laughing.

Speaker 1: That was a nice touch we're doing that next year what next season we're gonna go i'm gonna be in that front row with all those yelling for whoever's up next but.

Speaker 2: I did think that was cute and then them finding out like they went from having 4,000 followers on Instagram to 2 million followers on Instagram all of that was kind of cute because it made it seem like they weren't there for the fame but when they realized they had it just that cute moment of oh my god because truly these people went from being you know just everyday folks to being mega stars and they had no concept of the progression as it was happening they didn't have access to phones they didn't have access to friends and family so they really didn't know just the level at which their fame had skyrocketed.

Speaker 1: Well, I'm glad they threw those clips in there. We've seen everybody else get a chance to do that, but not the last four couples. What did you, we need to, I guess, you just talked about how it looked outside. This was the first time, right? They've had a reunion show where they have a whole live audience and they have people outside and it was cool. It made it feel really, really big. But the setup inside, let's just talk about, I guess, the show itself before and the producing of the show versus we get into some of the editorial, I guess, probes. The set, how it looked, how it was hosted, how it was chopped up and had to be edited was strange at times, but what did you make of just the overall production?

Speaker 2: I liked the energy of the crowd. I liked that they had a live studio audience. I thought that was fun. I thought the editing, look, and it's so funny because I feel like Love Island, if I think about one of the brilliant, parts of it is the phenomenal editing that takes place every 24 hours. They're churning this stuff out almost in real time and it's impressive. However, for the live show, too much editing. Like it was, it was herky jerky and it was totally way off in moments. They would cut to some, from some poignant moment or some like really deep or sometimes even dark comments and then cut to hosts completely seemingly ignoring some pretty heavy moment that needed a button and would just go into the next.

Speaker 2: And it just felt, it made the hosts look like they were, weren't listening and weren't sympathetic and weren't empathetic. It made them, it made them look dismissive.

Speaker 2: I hope it was all, Sometimes the awkward moments were there and look, we know this is live to tape, so to speak. Yes, they made edits, but the idea is to do this as if it were live and we all see it. It's hard to manage and maneuver and to shift from something that got really heavy to something that's fun and exciting. And that takes a lot of years of experience of live programming to know how to do that well and, And so I don't fault them because that is a difficult, difficult skill to acquire, and it only happens through a lot of experience.

They're introducing all of, right, they introduced the main cast and the main people that we all know, but they also introduced some bombshells who might have had a moment or two but weren't big players in the show. Some of them were sitting still on the main stage level, but off to, we can only just call it a kiddie area, right? So that was an extra section where they were.

And so they probably wanted him there because Ariana hasn't had that much experience in that kind of a, that was a huge undertaking. That was a juggernaut of a live to tape show. It is.

It became pretty, I don't know how soon, but it felt clear to me that she knows the public's on her side.

I felt like there was a point where the veins in her neck were sticking out because she was so upset.

They're churning this stuff out almost in real time and it's impressive. However, for the live show, too much editing. Like it was, it was herky jerky and it was totally way off in moments.
