Love Island (EP 25) Dylan’s Crocodile Tears + Movie Night Fears

Love Island (EP 25) Dylan’s Crocodile Tears + Movie Night Fears

It was an emotionally charged day and night at the Villa. Episode 25 begins with Dylan inexplicably incapable of controlling his emotions after learning Kenzie kissed Gal. It’s been less than a week and he’s crying? A LOT of folks aren’t buying it, including T.J. but that was just the beginning of the drama, as movie night part one played out and things quickly unraveled as K.C., Sincere and Zach all went into defense mode and the girls went on the attack.

00:00:02
Speaker 1: Hey, the folks did is Wednesday, July first, and Love Island episode twenty five is in the book Senate was movie Nights and the movie sucked. And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. I mean you seem to be having the time of your life watching this episode.

00:00:17
Speaker 2: Oh what a night. Yeah, I am very aware of the drama that movie night has caused in seasons past, and so yes, I would actually say both Sabina and I were pretty giddy excited because you know what, this is the moment where the truth comes out, and I think that is what a lot of folks are waiting for, because yeah, whether it was intentional, whether it was just forgetful, or people just are trying to massage what really happened, it's all clear and there are receipts and everyone sees them. So a lot of people who might have been misrepresenting themselves got out it.

00:00:57
Speaker 1: Well, of course they were, you said, misrepresent about what was happening in caslam Moore, and they had every reason to lie about what was happening in casam More because what was happening in Casla More is something that those women over at the village should never see and those fellows. For whatever reason, however, did not realize or remember that the women are going to see all this. There's one thing to make a bad move, it's another thing just be stupid, like what are they doing?

00:01:20
Speaker 2: Well?

00:01:20
Speaker 3: And the point to that point, it was hilarious.

00:01:23
Speaker 2: One of my favorite parts of the entire episode was when they got the text saying that it was movie night and immediately the boys who knew that they behaved badly, got all freaked out. No, I mean they Zach was in full panic mode. Casey looked like he wanted to die. Sincere tried to play it like he was cool, but he was the one who actually is and was because I say is because there's still part two to come on Thursday night. But he suffered the most humiliation of them all. You think last night, I think he was depicted far worse than Casey, Yeah, far worse. And people are saying that online. In fact, people are up in arms that Casey has gotten so much hate when actually Sincere has behaved so much worse.

00:02:14
Speaker 1: Uh he had, and you know what they well, yeah, we'll get into Sincere here. But it did him end to see that he was doing the thing with soul and doing the thing with Amora. And now Amora is seeing that he is kind of two timing her in a way and lying to her as well. So he's pissed off everybody.

00:02:31
Speaker 2: Every even the boys were surprised because they didn't know all the things he had been saying to all the girls, and he was literally telling everybody the same thing, and even the guys were like, holy hell, like they were shocked.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: First chance, America gets I think he might be gone before Casey. First chance, Amriica, if you give America a chance right now, he actually Sabine when she comes in here, we need to ask her. They have the stats on people just talking about their favorite islanders and percentages, and Trinity was the popular. At last, she showed me. I wonder where those two guys sit.

00:03:03
Speaker 2: Yes, it was a hell of a night, but let's start at the beginning before the movie, because there was drama before we even got to movie night, and you were when you were outright.

00:03:13
Speaker 3: That's what I'm getting to do right now.

00:03:15
Speaker 2: I'm getting right to Dylan, who broke down crying, couldn't stop the tears, was using his t shirt, was using his hands like for like a while he couldn't control his emotions because a girl he's been in a couple with for less than a week kissed another guy after she told him she was exploring her options and then came down and was honest about it, and he lost it or did he?

00:03:45
Speaker 1: E' sweetheart?

00:03:47
Speaker 2: Were they crocodile tears?

00:03:48
Speaker 1: There was a crocodile Robes. There's the thing people do, and Dylan, these feelings were probably hurt. But I it, Oh my god, I'm man. It's hard to not don't want to judge, but I'm watching what I'm watching, and what I'm seeing is a performance. It felt really performative. And if you didn't think about it at the time, I want you to go back and see how he wipes his eyes, and you think about how you wipe your eyes when you're crying ropes. I point this out so many times, how people go about wiping their eyes. You don't wipe tears away the way he does it and Robes. You don't go back. His tears aren't falling down his eyes like Melanie. He's poking himself under the eye. He's poking, pressing against his eye. And then you pull up the T shirt. The t shirt to go into the eyes and he's punching himself in the eye almost with a T shirt.

00:04:40
Speaker 2: You think he was trying to make performers happen so that it looked like he was crying, because he actually wasn't crying.

00:04:47
Speaker 1: I really, babe. And again, it's a game to be played, and this is part of the game, and part of it is getting sympathy. Then you're playing well, my brother, because a lot of people do len the sympathetic sympathetic ear to him ropes. I'm just watching him. And also, it didn't make sense.

00:05:02
Speaker 2: It didn't make sense. I will admit I was falling for his genuine pain. I don't know about the tears, but it also made no sense to me. It was incomprehensible that somebody could be that upset about someone else who they just met a few days ago, who he hasn't been that intimate with, and it was maybe more about his survival or his lack thereof where he feels like he's about to get dumped. It was more like he was afraid and upset that he might get kicked off the islands. And that's where I felt like his emotion was truly oh based.

00:05:34
Speaker 1: In I thought that's where his motives were based in, but not his emotion robes there. It's incomprehensible. It makes no sense. And if any woman saw a guy behave this way after knowing her for three days, you would run to the highest.

00:05:51
Speaker 2: Amount of That is so true, because look, I think Dylan is a very good looking guy. I mean, most of the people there are attractive physically, but he is a good looking guy. I said, the moment he starts burying his head in my chest and wants me to like coddle him and play with his hair because he's so upset over something that happened. We've been seeing each other for three days, so I was actually getting annoyed and angry by it. But it's interesting. I went online. I went on Reddit. I would say, more people think his tears were bs really than don't. Oh, More people are in your okay.

00:06:27
Speaker 3: Than in mind.

00:06:28
Speaker 2: They're like, all right, this dude is playing everybody. He's trying to win. I don't buy it for a second. I mean he's getting a lot. So yes, he was the number when we were watching his name was trending right.

00:06:40
Speaker 1: Because I'm sitting there with you two going oh, poor guy. And I'm sitting here going are people really falling for this?

00:06:46
Speaker 3: Some people are, and I am among them that was falling for it.

00:06:49
Speaker 1: It was ninety right, and I just opened the computer sitting in front of y'all, and sure not. Number one trending topic was Dylan Dylan rob Just what does that say about someone? Do you really think those who are defending it and think it's sweet? Do you tell me ropes. Is it possible that the guy is so caught up emotionally into this woman and in love that he would react in this way.

00:07:13
Speaker 3: You can't be in love with somebody after three days.

00:07:15
Speaker 2: I really. You can be in lost with someone. You can be in love with the idea of someone. You can be in love with the idea of having a relationship with someone.

00:07:23
Speaker 1: And explain to me why why he could authentically have these emotions.

00:07:29
Speaker 2: I don't know how he could be that emotionally invested. No. I was shocked and confused as well. I didn't necessarily jump to this conclusion that he was completely faking it, because he did seem hurt, but I was annoyed by his hurt. I was like, come on, dude, Okay, it's not attractive to be that upset.

00:07:45
Speaker 1: You know what, even short of the tears, You're right, it still didn't make sense. The reaction should have been, Ah, that sucks. Oh how good? Was it? Right? Your feelings are hurt.

00:07:54
Speaker 3: But you gotta have a little pride.

00:07:56
Speaker 1: It's the damn game.

00:07:58
Speaker 3: You gotta have a.

00:07:58
Speaker 2: Little pride and say, you know, I'm not where you are. I want to be closed off and I know you're the one I want. But you know what, I like you enough to say, do what you need to do. I'll be here if you come back. But that is a position of strength, and that's attractive as hell.

00:08:13
Speaker 1: Okay, and she Robes. She could have just said, I'm kinsy. Have you been watching the show?

00:08:19
Speaker 3: This is what I do?

00:08:20
Speaker 1: Yes? What was the great line from last night of hers? I said, it's the best line.

00:08:24
Speaker 2: She said to me, kissing is like a handshake at this point.

00:08:28
Speaker 3: Yes, it's how I get to know someone.

00:08:30
Speaker 1: Robes, She said, it was the best way. We've been looking for a way to describe her.

00:08:37
Speaker 3: To me, making out is like a handshake. And it was funny. He was like, was it just a kiss or was it making out? I was like, stop and she said it was making out.

00:08:48
Speaker 2: I mean, she was honest.

00:08:49
Speaker 3: I have to give her that. She was completely honest.

00:08:52
Speaker 1: You know, they're rare that there are conversations when Kinsey's talking to somebody that I'm completely on Kimsey's side, man one of them, I'm on booboo.

00:09:00
Speaker 2: She seemed confused, like and then it was funny because in the confessional she she kind of in her Kenzie way, was like, I really wasn't expecting that reaction from him.

00:09:10
Speaker 3: And she was neither were we.

00:09:11
Speaker 1: She was playing with her hair kind of a weird doctor evil way. I didn't know. And then the cuddle after he cried.

00:09:18
Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. The cuddle.

00:09:19
Speaker 3: I was gone at that point.

00:09:21
Speaker 2: I was like, this cuddle is disgusting and I'm sorry, but I just don't know of many women who would find that to be attractive.

00:09:28
Speaker 1: Here is I bring this to this one comment because you talked to me before about this particular type of guy you don't want to date. But someone said, Dylan crying is so funny. I'm so sorry. He really is a golden retriever who made a wish to be a human.

00:09:47
Speaker 3: That is perfect.

00:09:49
Speaker 2: Whoever wrote that Nail did and yeah, he would be your golden retriever boyfriend that I personally I would not be interested in.

00:09:57
Speaker 1: I'm telling everybody, there's no show tonight. Go back and watch last night's episode and pay attention to how he wipes his tears and robes. You're gonna go, oh wait, okay, okay. I didn't know we should have done a whole episode on Dylan. I didn't know what we were gonna talk about.

00:10:12
Speaker 3: It Dylan, please, oh yeah? And then okay?

00:10:15
Speaker 2: Can we also mention one of the other highlights of yesterday was Ian the narrator.

00:10:20
Speaker 3: He was nailing it last night.

00:10:22
Speaker 1: I had a good night?

00:10:23
Speaker 3: What would Carl Do? That was hilarious.

00:10:26
Speaker 2: He's like, normally people ask what would Jesus do? We asked him this villow what would Carl do?

00:10:31
Speaker 1: He made Carl gave him so much material just because of the way the country is viewing Carl. He piggybacked on that and just made the theme something about a nice guy Carl, something nice Carl would do. It was he had a good night last night.

00:10:45
Speaker 3: It was fun.

00:10:46
Speaker 2: I laughed out loud. There was also a really fun fun zinger that he made about Kaita and Jen walking Jen head slippers and Kada had high heels, and he made some funny joke about the competing footwear. He just he was laying his jokes last night exceptionally well also before, because when we come back, we'll really get into movie night. But I also just wanted to to say, what did you think about Anya and Carl heating things up?

00:11:11
Speaker 3: Anaya was sexing it up with Carl.

00:11:14
Speaker 1: Speaking of Carl, she's she there's there's some there's some built feel like it was forced a little. I think she really wants to like I'm not convinced yet, and it's fine, and she could be feeling it out like Trinity and Bryce. We're feeling that that's true, right, so, but I think she's maybe trying to hit the gas a little much. I don't know if how authentic and how real and how strong those feelings are for him.

00:11:35
Speaker 2: You started to say a sentence that I was totally leaning into. You were starting to say, it's as if she wants to want him, she wants to like him, so she's wanting to make herself fall for him.

00:11:48
Speaker 1: And he's a nice guy and he really is and everybody and at this point he's hilarious with everything he does.

00:11:53
Speaker 2: I actually I'm I hope Carl never leaves. Carl is providing a lot of entertainment, and he is a good guy, so it's nice to have a decent dude in there. But he's so not like the others, and to the point where they were showing some of these scenes that were wildly uncomfortable to watch and everyone else is making fac he had his hands over.

00:12:13
Speaker 3: His eyes like he was he couldn't even watch. He's so sweet, Carl.

00:12:18
Speaker 1: Okay, you never say I'm so sweet, but I had my hands, oh my eyes watching that issue.

00:12:23
Speaker 3: Because you're cursing the whole time while you have your hands under your.

00:12:25
Speaker 1: Eyes like this. This is okay, I'm gonna say this. I'll put this on the record. I'm just waiting. We have to see something from Carl. Nobody's this nice.

00:12:35
Speaker 2: I agree with you, I absolutely agree. I am that you know what, that's a good tease to wait. I'll keep watching the show just for that moment when Carl finally has had enough, because it's gonna happen all right when we come back.

00:12:50
Speaker 3: A lot of people had enough last night.

00:12:53
Speaker 2: It ended with an explosion and it pretty much was girls versus boys at Movie Night Welcome Back Everyone to Our Love Island, episode Episode twenty five.

00:13:15
Speaker 3: It was Movie Night Part one. There really was a lot of.

00:13:19
Speaker 2: Drama leading up to movie Night, and so yeah, they had to split this into two parts.

00:13:24
Speaker 3: But movie Night itself, first of all.

00:13:28
Speaker 2: What were your impressions just about what we saw when the movie clips were rolling in the reaction from everybody.

00:13:36
Speaker 1: I'm not a fan. It's just there's so much emotion, There's so much anger, and you could it's bordering on hatred, but people just shouting each other down and it's even got physical at one point with Casey standing up and then Naya standing up and coming over and challenging him and being in his face. That was a really look robes. I don't want to go too far, but that's a that's a domestic scene building up right, that.

00:14:01
Speaker 2: Without alcohol, with cameras rolling. So can you imagine if those other two things were factor.

00:14:06
Speaker 1: I just don't like to see that there was physical energy and animals that I don't know. People just say things get heated and that's fine. Just that was not Casey needs to sit his ass down, Casey needs to shut up, case he needs to apologize. He needs to do something redemptive to show us that he is more than he has shown us in the last I mean god, five ten episodes. It's been a long time since he showed us anything redemptive, that positive about his personality. It's in there robes. He's behaving terribly, and he's behaving as a dude. He's behaving as a horn dog. He's behaving like a twenty four year old, and he's behaving like an idiot. He just is. Yep, he just is.

00:14:48
Speaker 2: Because everything he did and everything he's and it wasn't even as much. And I think this was the girl's point when they got so upset with the boys, because the boys were screaming double standard.

00:14:58
Speaker 3: When we saw all of Casey with.

00:15:03
Speaker 1: T T.

00:15:04
Speaker 3: Everybody, the girls were upset and in sense. And then when we see Anaya with.

00:15:08
Speaker 2: Carl, the girls were all like, oh, and so the boys, you know, that started this whole big back and forth.

00:15:13
Speaker 3: That's a double standard.

00:15:15
Speaker 2: And look, Anya's big thing was it wasn't necessarily that he was making out with t T or even with Sydney.

00:15:22
Speaker 3: It was what he said about her, and that was true.

00:15:26
Speaker 2: He didn't need to say the things he said about her, calling her a grandma, saying he breathes life into her, saying he didn't care about her. You know, all of those things were completely unnecessary, and so that was where the emotion was.

00:15:39
Speaker 1: It was and everything he said was awful, and he shouldn't have said it behind the scenes. There is no you can't dismiss it, robes or excuse it just by saying it to do talk. But it's still would n like to acknowledge that this isn't wildly off the rails and he is not some extraordinary monster. And also he shouldn't be lumped into a group to where all guys are like this. Oh no, just because a guy. And again it's hard to defend the words. All of it was wrong. We're dumping and dismissive of Casey and individuals in such a way. I just want to Yeah, yes, it's locker Joe Hawk. Yeah, and it's awful. Talk it is. It's awful.

00:16:25
Speaker 2: But I don't think any woman is shocked that that happened or that guys talk like that. But I think what's shocking to me and perhaps to them, was that they knew they were Mike. There was no secret moment, There was no private moment, there was no aus side with the boys. Cameras are rolling and America sees.

00:16:43
Speaker 1: But you said, if they forget it, they do.

00:16:44
Speaker 3: I think they do.

00:16:45
Speaker 2: Well.

00:16:45
Speaker 1: How many weeks is this now?

00:16:47
Speaker 3: I think we're up to four three four weeks? So yes, And they're.

00:16:51
Speaker 1: Walking around all day twenty four to seven with actually nothing to do until the challenge comes up. At this point, he's routine. The thing hanging around your neck, that's a micro You can't see the camera. It's hidden somewhere. You don't know what's around. You're not thinking about it. You would have to go about your day all day being conscious of everything you said. And if you do that, ro you can't not going to be natural. It's not gonna They're just chilling now. So he talked like a dude in a moment having I got to keep saying, Robes, he doesn't know how to deal with being hurt, and he's showing that. So what's he doing. He lashes out.

00:17:23
Speaker 2: And that's what we saw and then he got sucks a lot of incoming. Now. Zach got saved surprisingly by the cost of Girls, because all was revealed about Zach including the fact that he didn't necessarily get the opportunity to choose Kada the way he presented it to her.

00:17:42
Speaker 3: She found out that Alana got kicked off.

00:17:46
Speaker 1: That's confusing why he wouldn't share.

00:17:48
Speaker 2: It, and she's rightfully suspicious that one point.

00:17:52
Speaker 1: I don't know how he's going to explain. But everything else he did he got saved. The videos were awful. She was upset, but then it was the guy I think Caleb spoke up and said, yeah, he told me he was going to pick yes you anyway. But again, people aren't familiar. Were talking about a lot of Kaiser, the girl he did hook up with, and Casa more. But she got kicked off before they had to make a decision because she well she said the N word on a video online. Okay, we're all caught up, but yeah, and then the women also said he was going to pick you and really calm things down.

00:18:23
Speaker 2: That mattered more to her than anything to have. I think it was t t who said I was in the bed right next to them. He didn't touch her, and that made her huge.

00:18:33
Speaker 1: T t TT, Yes, that was the one that went on.

00:18:36
Speaker 2: That one, and then the Melanie and sincere thing you know. Initially Melanie obviously just you know. I think what made it so sad is she just shrinks. She just fell into her chair. She wanted to say nothing. She didn't react aggressively in any way. She just she just basically fell apart internally. But the teas for part two that she mostly had to hear the sole thing and see the whole thing. But when they tease the Omora thing where she actually sees him now with another girl saying the same thing and saying that if he had more time, he would have picked her. Oh we see Melanie stand up. That's coming on Thursday.

00:19:15
Speaker 1: Why are they I say required, But I guess it's suggested. People know how this goes. She was the one after the clip just said just move on to the next thing. She didn't want to speak to want to say anything. I guess that's okay. Could he have shut up as well? He spoke too much. I think just all those necessary. I am sorry, and I'm sorry you had to see that. That is nothing, But I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You should have lasted fifteen seconds.

00:19:37
Speaker 2: Boom.

00:19:38
Speaker 1: He talked and talked and talked and talk and talk that I was screaming bro, please just be quiet.

00:19:44
Speaker 2: Well, it's gonna get way worse in part two, but I would just like to end on a positive note because I want art.

00:19:51
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:19:51
Speaker 2: Our favorite part of Movie Night, which was brutally uncomfortable, was Corbin nailed it.

00:19:57
Speaker 1: Finally. Corbyn had a good episode and he said maybe fifteen words the whole episode. They were perfectly placed. I have been looking for a way to like Corvin my brother. Good job, and what he did Rods was just sat there and listened and made little comments under his breath.

00:20:15
Speaker 3: While he was eating pop quarantinking it all in Corvin.

00:20:18
Speaker 1: I'm gonna go back and watch the episode because of he was awesome.

00:20:22
Speaker 2: Corvin just had these little smart ass one liner's like oh dude, you're in trouble now. He was genuinely reacting and he was shocked actually by someone what he saw.

00:20:34
Speaker 3: He didn't know everything.

00:20:35
Speaker 2: I mean, I thought that was one of my big takeaways some of the guys had, and I think they were mostly shocked by Sincere. They saw what Casey was doing, they knew all about that. I don't think they knew because those Sincere moments were happening in private moments one on one with those ladies, and they didn't realize the extent to which he was playing all of them.

00:20:55
Speaker 3: And it's all exposed.

00:20:56
Speaker 1: And I'm please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember any of them speaking up in any way to defend.

00:21:03
Speaker 2: Not they were defending Casey, but they did not defend Sincere.

00:21:07
Speaker 3: That is absolutely true. Isn't that interesting?

00:21:09
Speaker 1: I believe it's just the hair, I guess, and the analogies we fell for, seriously, because.

00:21:14
Speaker 3: Everybody, he's got that great smile.

00:21:16
Speaker 1: Sweet little guy. He's not the biggest of dudes, and I guess something sweet and cute and Lord Farquhar about him, but it's this dude is blowing it.

00:21:24
Speaker 3: Oh, it is not going to end well.

00:21:27
Speaker 2: And I do think it was notable his boys were not coming to his defense these moments. They were kind of like, oh, boy, problem. Yeah, everyone's got their own problems, it appears, But thank god for Corbin. Actually that was the comedic relief we needed. And the editing. Can we give the editors so much props because they did such a good job of just inserting Corbin or just facial expressions. Who was it was it Caleb just throw No, it was Dylan your favorite, just throwing the popcorn in his mouth, just like he was watching a tennis match.

00:21:59
Speaker 3: His head was going back and forth. And look at your face right now.

00:22:03
Speaker 2: You can't stand Dylan.

00:22:05
Speaker 1: You know what? Go that's on brand for him. Just here for the drama, Just here for the drama. Come on, y'all go Please go back and watch the episode. Pay attention to how Dylan White is.

00:22:15
Speaker 2: I all right, well, we don't have a Love Island tonight, but hey, we'll be rooting on Team USA. I hope you all will two in the World Cup. But we'll be back with more Love.

00:22:24
Speaker 3: Island on Thursday.

00:22:27
Speaker 2: Can't wait for it. In the meantime, though, thank you for listening everybody. I'm Amy Robach alongside TJ.

00:22:32
Speaker 3: Holmes. We'll talk to you soon.
