Love Island (EP 18): Alannah Survives For Now, 6 Bombshells Dumped
So far, not a word from Peacock about the fate of bombshell Alannah Keyser, who many fans are demanding be dumped from the show after video surfaced of her singing the N-word on social media. While she seems pleasantly coupled up with Zach, the ladies have narrowed down their Casa Amor newbies from 12 to 6, but it remains unclear if any love connections are actually forming at the Villa. Meantime, the men are split, with half of them fully exploring and seemingly enjoying their new women. However, Bryce was moved to tears and Sincere mused about missing their ladies back home. Melanie and Aniya also admitted to missing their men, but that is setting up a hell of a mess with KC, who seems to be extremely content with his new lady Tierra.

Speaker 1: Hey, folks, it is Tuesday, June twenty third, and Love Island season eighth in episode eighteen. Now in the books, and we just met twelve new guys, and we were kind of surprised to see one girl in particular still on the shelf.
00:00:20
Speaker 2: Now with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. We'll get into that more. There was some controversy ahead of time, and a lot of us didn't expect to see one of the new bombshells still there, given some of the controversy online.
00:00:29
Speaker 3: Yes, and honestly we were expecting to hear something anything from Love Island producers, from Peacock, but it has been cricket so far. We are talking about, of course, the new bombshell in cosa more, twenty one year Oldlana Heiser, And yes, she has been depicted. It hasn't been verified necessarily, but she has been depicted in a resurface video singing along with the lyrics and saying and the N word. There are also some questionable posts that may have come from her also using the N word, and yet she's still kicking.
00:01:10
Speaker 2: And it's a surprise because they've had this exact controversy in the past and made immediate action, took immediate action and pull people off the show, including they did so this year. Before the show even started, this came up and they had to boot somebody. So that was surprising, and Robes, I did, and we want to leave room here. I mean, the stuff's not verified. The video is hard to argue a little more so. But then some of the posts, they could be manipulated, they could be AI, they could be fake. Fine, but then Robes, at least according to TMZ, said they heard from her dad.
00:01:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, who is defending his daughter, saying that it hits the defense black people will tell white people never to use. Don't I got black friends, I've got friends of color. How could I possibly be a racist?
00:01:55
Speaker 2: If you know how many black people have been to your house, if you have a count, you races as hell. But I don't know this guy or what he was talking about. But yes, but they said this is what Now Rhodes brings it to another level to me of verification. If her dad is coming out defending her saying he's not a racist, it seems like he is. Suggested he would have said, no, that's not her, that's a fake video.
00:02:16
Speaker 3: You're right, and look, it's it was just he just they just had a few snippets. So you know, we know how TMZ rolls, and they're very effective and deficient in trying to get a quote of some kind. So it's likely they found where he lived and he just gave them a two quick sentences because it wasn't some in depth interview that he gave. But he definitely went into defense mode. And it would you would think that if that wasn't her in the video, that would be the first thing he would have said.
00:02:42
Speaker 2: So in that respect, then we have a video of a contestant an Islander using the N word while singing along to a song. That's the exact same type of video that got a previous girl this year kicked off was on a Montgomery wrapping along to us. I don't know. So yes, they're already talking about is there a double standard on Love Island now or is there a new standard. They were even suggesting that some of the previous ladies should go sue Love Island like you kick me off? What about her? She did the exact same thing. But Rhodes, I wonder about and worry about the message we are now saying Okay, yeah she did it. Oh well, no big deal, there are no consequences.
00:03:26
Speaker 3: Maybe they're just hoping that Zach's gonna pick Keta instead and they won't have to worry about it because she'll be eliminated in a few days anyway. But still that if you set a certain standard, if you create a standard, you have to then enforce that standard. And you would imagine that the only way a standard works is if it's equally applied.
00:03:45
Speaker 2: So maybe there's a reason this one's different. I would love to hear so. I wouldn't have argued for them kicking anybody off. But now that they have set that as the rule, now I'm looking at you, Love Island. Okay, I'm waiting what's different because the suggestion is, yeah, go out there singing, say the N word. Who gives a damn? You don't have to be respectful in public or in private, And there's nothing they're almost signing off on what she did. Is how it's being.
00:04:11
Speaker 3: Interpreted, right, because their silence is deafening. I mean, it's just interesting they have not said anything. In order for this to go away, they either have to give a reason why they've decided not to take her off and there may be a very good reason. There may be a very valid reason, or they need to make a decision to apply the same role to everyone.
00:04:30
Speaker 2: Yeah, wait for the explanation. Not good, non, any of it. I'll wait to you.
00:04:34
Speaker 3: Yep. And that was part of the reason why we actually, well we were going to tune it anyway, but certainly we were waiting to see if Amana was going to continue in her role. And she has been coupled up with Zach and it looked like business as usual. So that was a little shocking. In last night's episode, I actually thought this actually happens sooner than I was anticipating. In past seasons, when you have the Islanders, the boys go to Casa Amor and the girls get these new crop of men coming in. Usually it takes a while before people start missing one another. But man, we got folks just a day or two into Casamore and they're already pining away for their other couple who is just you know, a few hundred feet away.
00:05:18
Speaker 2: See, it happened on certainly strong on the men's side. But did women were doing it? Oh? Yes, And this is where the relationship lesson comes in. Robes the grass looks greener, right, They all came in all excited, and I said it immediately when I saw the guys and when I saw the new crop of girls, like do they just send in like hot pieces of ass or are these supposed to be wife material that they're sending in? Seriously, are these supposed to be women you're considering? Or there's your suppose you call them temptresses?
00:05:45
Speaker 3: Right? Yes, yes, okay, bombshells temptresses?
00:05:48
Speaker 2: Is that what they were supposed to do? Because it seemed like that it was just about lust. Nobody's trying to get to know anybody. Hey, let's going in. Just swap some spit or whatever other fluids we can come up with. Okay, fine, but robes once that newness went away on both sides like oh.
00:06:05
Speaker 3: Right, it was so funny to watch because it is it is a very specific, extreme example of what happens in real life. The shiny new thing seems so exciting. They were just I mean exploding with adrenaline and excitement because they were like, man, the vibes are different. Was it Corbyn who kept saying, man, I'm feeling these vibes. The vibes are new. Yeah, No, one's bothering me about who I'm talking to or whether or not I'm open, or if I'm exploring. Yeah, dude, this because you just met. Just give it a day or two. You're going to be right back in the same battern.
00:06:41
Speaker 2: But I get Corbin's not the best example. He's not missing Kensy necessarily.
00:06:46
Speaker 3: No, he's not missing Kenzy.
00:06:47
Speaker 2: But everybody else Otherwise. It was a fun This was an interesting episode because I was looking forward to so much. We got the crew on the couch as always is. They're watching this thing, Me and the girl, me, you and the girls, and I think that was mystery one. Okay, Alana is still there and I didn't expect you tell me, I don't remember this the Casa more episodes from the past. You said this happened, but you were surprised that it happened so quickly.
00:07:14
Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I usually what ends up happening is that when everyone comes back and they decide who brings, if anyone brings a bombshell back, or if anyone keeps a bombshell, they all have this very dramatic moment when the couples who were coupled before they were thrown apart and tempted. Who stays together and who doesn't, And more often than not, they end up choosing one another. There's always one or two who go rogue and pick the new person. Maybe it's just one person, but it takes a while. Like they're excited about their shiny new objects on both sides. But I was surprised, like the girls already were just missing their men, and two of the guys, one of them brought to tears. Although that was a controversy bryce at the end. Look I was, I was saying, oh, look at that. But man, I went online and looked, and people are calling him. They're calling them crocodile tears. They're calling it like they're like that was a tearless cry, and they thought it was selfish and that it was just about how he missed how Trinity made him feel, versus actually missing Trinity.
00:08:15
Speaker 2: Yeah, he's in his twenties. He's selfish when he comes back to relationships exactly. Yes, that makes sense. You see it all the time. We've all been there and done that. I mean, I just yes, I wish he might have been a little more mature, but right what he's doing right now, and I think it's true rose. He goes to this new place. These new women come in who you don't have time to get to know, and he's starting to remember how somebody else made him feel, how he felt special, how she listened to him. Yes, that all makes sense. Trinity is a gem, and I realize that more now robes. There's value in costa more in that situation exactly.
00:08:53
Speaker 3: And it's interesting because physically he literally chows a girl who looks almost identical Trinity. He has a type. I actually have her name because it was interesting to see who paired up with him. We don't know who the women are going to pair up with, which I thought was interesting. They did a group vote of the six men they wanted to keep and the six men they wanted to kick off. The boys like literally coupled up. Now we did see everyone invite someone to their bed. What a strange situation. Would you like to sleep with me tonight? But yeah, we have.
00:09:25
Speaker 2: She had the boots on. Whoever was with h had those patent leather long boots.
00:09:29
Speaker 3: Yes, Bryce's was Sydney. That's the look alike. And she's sweets as pie. She seems lovely, but she ain't Trinity, and he was literally, I mean he was spiraling.
00:09:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess we heard a little bit from Sincere as well, talking about positively about Melanie. Zach isn't really talking about Cata, but Bryce Robes, Yes, I appreciated it. I thought Robes and the way he was speaking in that confessional or whatever talking about Trinity, he was taking his time. He almost seems surprised by what he was thinking and saying and feeling.
00:10:04
Speaker 3: Yeah, And I was, I was actually thinking Trinity is going to whatever happens with him. She'll actually really appreciate just seeing that that, even if it took a little bit of absence for him to realize who she is and what she contributes and why he likes her. I think that was pretty cool to see Sincere yes saying he missed Melanie, but he admitted to kissing Amora. Not shocking, But yeah, Amora is that she's the She's a lighter skin black girl. She's got some beautiful lips. I think that might be a very yes. Yes, and she seems lovely. But Zach, Casey, Corbyn, and Calem are enjoying those new ladies. And I would say especially Casey, Casey is all into Tierra or a T T Casey's done. He jumped right into her and all the things he's saying, it's honestly, babe, I feel I'm sure a lot of women are saying told just so knew it, saw it. He is showing his true colors, and it's almost as if he's a different person.
00:11:02
Speaker 2: I got duped too, and again he might. It's the environment. He could just be behaving badly, immaturely in a lot of ways, and some of what I'm seeing like just silly boy behavior, and I got that's the best way I can describe. He's like, ooh, boobies and you just start going crazy, and it's his behavior is really really weird. I think he's twenty four, and maybe some of that's coming Is he twenty.
00:11:26
Speaker 3: Four, he's in his young early twenties.
00:11:29
Speaker 2: Yes, maybe that's coming out. But there was so much about him early on that we liked. That was charming, that was you, that was mature, that was he calmed people down, He was measured, helped, he had so much that he was my favorite character a few episodes, and.
00:11:46
Speaker 3: For a lot of us, he was Yeah, he seemed to be mature and measured and not over reactionary and look not over emotion, overly emotional, and he was dealing with some intense feelings from Anaya, So I thought, yes, he did handle little, but maybe what he did is internalize all that and then say get me the f out of here and exploded when he got free.
00:12:07
Speaker 2: Were wating, that's what we're watching. It's all been pent up. And finally there's a woman, a black woman of the same skin complexion, the same thickness, who ain't frowning.
00:12:20
Speaker 3: Who seems happy to be there, and he's like, I'm here for that energy, and.
00:12:24
Speaker 2: She knows, she knows he's vulnerable. She went after him from the moment she stepped in.
00:12:29
Speaker 3: She was smart, she was strategic. And I do think some of the men we saw this too with the women, went after the women who they knew were possibly in the most shaky of relationships or in no relationship at all. So when we come back, we will talk about what's going on at the villa with these twelve men. It was a very different scene over at the villa versus what we saw the soft porn sex show over at Casa More. Yeah, the Islanders back home seemed a lot more.
00:13:04
Speaker 2: Tame freaky still.
00:13:15
Speaker 3: Welcome back everyone to our Love Island edition of Amy and TJ. We're talking about episode eighteen, and yes, I hear what you're saying. We were going to break and Teacher's like, what are you talking about? Those women were just as spicy as the men.
00:13:30
Speaker 2: Spy is what we're going with.
00:13:31
Speaker 3: You know what, here's the deal. I do believe that Kenzie is now working to find a way to do the splits in every episode that is it's I'm actually kind of waiting for it. We could do a drinking game, although we aren't drinking during the week, but while we can take SIPs of water every time she does the splits.
00:13:49
Speaker 2: I guess this. Those are the guarantees every episode she's doing splits since here has given us a stupid analyoys, these are the guarantees.
00:13:58
Speaker 3: Yeah, what was the analogylast night?
00:14:00
Speaker 2: I forgot write it out?
00:14:01
Speaker 3: Every single hilarious you know what, we need to keep a running toll. We could do a whole episode at the end of this with Sincere's analogies. They're priceless. Were waiting for them. I also love some of the small talk about food and just when you're meeting strangers it's always awkward now do it with microphones on and the world watching. One of my favorite moments I just wanted to remind you when they were talking about the food they liked to eat and someone said something about tuna tar tar and Kenzie follows up with, I try to stay away from cheese.
00:14:32
Speaker 2: Maybe they edited it in a weird way, maybe maybe she misheard it, says a bunch. It was so confused last night.
00:14:39
Speaker 3: I think there was, but that one really jumped out at me. And I laughed for a solid five minutes on that one because I just it just made no sense to me, as does a lot of what comes out of her mouth.
00:14:51
Speaker 2: But they edit some They've been having fun in the narrator I can never get his last name, has been having fun, and they have been poking fun, like flat out making fun of them some turns.
00:15:03
Speaker 3: The way they edit some of this stuff is absolutely deliberate for you to'll take a good belly laugh. But okay, so I was we were just saying when we were watching the Women and the Men, I thought, finally they're not doing these raunchy like lap dances sex shows. They're actually getting to know each other. And this is so much nicer to watch actual human interaction take place without it all being about swapping spit yeah, and then and then and but it's still I will say, like, this may be so bad that this is what we're measuring it up against. But man, that initial Cosa a More episode was just like so overwhelming. I was appreciative that this was just a small It was definitely less raunchy over at the original villa. No you disagree, I disagree.
00:15:54
Speaker 2: I just think it didn't go on as long.
00:15:56
Speaker 3: Maybe because but it's also so awkward, like they can all go oohh, come on, some stranger comes up and puts you on the ground in front of everybody and then starts making out with you.
00:16:06
Speaker 2: Okay, I have questions. I don't remember the previous Do they usually bring in this many guys?
00:16:11
Speaker 3: No, I don't remember there being twelve guys before.
00:16:14
Speaker 2: So that's new. They bring in twelve guys, the girls can choose six. They choose these six, and then they now we're gonna go through the process of kind of introducing themselves. So they say, what the guys, you can pick two girls you want to kiss. And I thought they were just gonna walk from where they were up front with the hosts, over to the seats where the women were around the Yeah, ar pits.
00:16:33
Speaker 3: That would have made sense, lean.
00:16:35
Speaker 2: Down, give them a kiss, stand there, give them a kiss. But they were clearly instructed to take the women from the seat, walk them up in front of the fire pit as if it's a stage. And the first guy robes knew automatically they immediately laid down, like pick two girls you want to kiss, you go pick Kwe's hand and then go lay her down on the ground in front of everybody. Yeah, it was just as nasty.
00:17:02
Speaker 3: We were like, oh, come on, I thought it was. Why and these clearly this is a producer suggestion, because there's no way that this would be something that someone would just do. And then once one person does it, they say, hey, you should try to one up each other. You know, they're whispering that into these contestants' ears, like, hey, come on, be as sexy as possible.
00:17:25
Speaker 2: It was, And who was the nastiest one? I think it was Kinsy. She was the one that put up butt and was tworking in somebody's face inches away from a man's mouth she just met five minutes ago.
00:17:34
Speaker 3: And then she said it made her so happy because she finally got to show off her skills.
00:17:38
Speaker 2: You know what, okay do you think? So okay? This is not an indictment of her. It is just more so an expression of what I appreciate watching in my reality television.
00:17:50
Speaker 3: I mean, look, they know what they're doing, yes they do. They know what they're watching, they know what people are watching. I am just still blown away how you could do all that knowing. And maybe their parents parents don't watch, and maybe their parents' friends don't watch, and maybe they do.
00:18:04
Speaker 2: Everybody's watching, everybody's watching.
00:18:06
Speaker 3: I'm just imagining go forward in life after this, and maybe it doesn't matter, maybe things have changed. But like, try to get a job somewhere, no problem, Try to be taken seriously anywhere it's not gonna be an issue. Try not to be always associated with provocative sex.
00:18:23
Speaker 2: Like most of these people will be forgotten within a month. Like you'll never be able to come up with any of these names. You can't tell me the finalist from two seasons ago, probably not even three from last season, right, It's just it's okay. Cycles.
00:18:36
Speaker 3: The problem is, though I always tell this to anyone who's coming up, they don't realize you are. And for instance, just with all of the controversy that comes up with past posts, if you can google someone's name and some of these videos come true, and like, you are never going to ever have this not be associated with you and your behavior and how you choose to act will always stay with you.
00:19:01
Speaker 2: Hey, why should someone be held down from having a job just because they put the ass in somebody's face on national TV? What's big deal? Ooh?
00:19:09
Speaker 3: I think they'll find out the hard way why that actually may not be advantageous in the work.
00:19:14
Speaker 2: You know, I didn't even ask, just generally, what did you think about the crop of guys that they came to the girls?
00:19:19
Speaker 3: I look and I hate. I just felt like we both said this. It almost as if is as if they're incentivizing the islanders to test out the waters. But they've created a situation where they've cast it a certain way where it seems and maybe it's just because we're more familiar with and we've gotten to know the other characters, but they don't seem like they're they're they're at the same level as the people they're already coupled with. It seems like these are second and third here. And I don't mean any disrespect by anyone, but it does feel like the casting was deliberate.
00:20:00
Speaker 2: Okay, that's hard to say without sounding like you're being disrespect exactly to that group. And maybe we just don't know this troupe as well, right, didn't get a chance to see their profiles, hear about their families and whatnot. But it does seem like these are guys just thrown in there. I had to shake your ass and pick her up. And it's just that didn't seem like there was much there, babe, And that's not fair. But the groups don't, mattch they don't measure up.
00:20:28
Speaker 3: Yes, And I think it would make sense if you're a casting director for Love Island, you pick, you have your your top tier contestants there as the original original Islanders, because those are the people who are going to be your main cast. It's almost like you're casting a television series or a television show that's scripted right, and then like smaller characters who won't be around for long aren't going to be as important as the main characters. And it's almost as if they cast this reality show with that in mind.
00:20:58
Speaker 2: And they again they know what they're doing. It hard to describe that without sounding like you're insulting a certain group of folks. But it's just it was clear, and like you said, Robe, they're noticing it quicker than usual. But I was surprised they didn't notice it immediately. Everybody they presented to the boys and the girls was a step below what they already had correct and then when you add to the fact that you have some history to the person, you're already it made it so easy. It made it so easy, It really did.
00:21:29
Speaker 3: But I'm curious, who do you think, just on these in these early days, who do you think is going to bring someone back to the villa among the men? Is there anyone? I mean, obviously Caleb's going to.
00:21:43
Speaker 2: Who did we just hear somebody was speaking about it strategically. It might have been Bryce giving somebody advice. It might have been Zach. I don't know what Casey's going to do from not even from show to show, from segment to segment. At this point, he's unpredictable. Bryce's no chance, uh and Corbyn's take he wants to take somebody out.
00:22:04
Speaker 3: He found the other blonde Jaden, So it's going to be does he like the new blonde more than Kenzi? I don't know. I think he might stick with Kenzie. I actually think Zach is going to stick with Kaita, even though he's with Alana right now, and who knows, Alana may be kicked off tonight. We have no idea with this whole racial thing. I truly believe Casey is bringing Tierra back t t He is definitely bringing her back. And Caleb was all over Parmida, correct.
00:22:30
Speaker 2: But then the te showed Corbyn hooking up with her.
00:22:33
Speaker 3: Yes, you're right, because that ended up flipping, So you're right. I do think between Corbyn and Caleb and Casey, I think those are the three who and there could be three of them who bring someone back.
00:22:47
Speaker 2: Okay, and it's still a little early with the women, but any of them going to pick one of those guys.
00:22:51
Speaker 3: Well, obviously you have to have Jen pick someone. But Jen, like Jen has just made no impression, still like I don't know, She's She's almost just like there to see how long she can stay on vacation. She's not playing, she's not strategizing, she's not making any drama, she's not making any waves.
00:23:08
Speaker 2: She's just kind of she's just here for the the sun and maybe the tea, but she's not actually participating.
00:23:17
Speaker 3: In any of the drama, which maybe that she might be the smartest one of them. She gets all expense paid vacation Fiji and isn't causing any controversy. But I'm trying to think, is there anyone else? Is Kenzie going to pick someone new? Because I just piss Yeah?
00:23:34
Speaker 2: But I.
00:23:36
Speaker 3: What are those relationships blossoming? I didn't see anything that jumped out at me. And look. The episode ended with Melanie and Anaya poor Anaya both saying that they desperately missed their men and that they weren't into any of the other men and Anaya Anaya was talking about how much she missed Casey. Fast forward to Kse not missing Anaya for one. It's gonna be tough, yeah.
00:24:03
Speaker 2: But that's Robes there it is. We went from them being so pissed at seeing what they saw in the live monitor their men doing to going back there. We're not even gonna say their names, get it out the f bombs they were dropped. I'm a bad I can't wait till those men get in here, and wait till you see what I do, we can play this game. All of that stuff went away. I missed my baby. And that's how women are robes. It's times they just are. They want their guide. They don't like a lot of that foolishness, and we behave the way case is behaving at times robes with just a lack of communication, not understanding what the other needs and being just an idiot sometimes and not realizing what you have. I know this is early on in their relationship and all that stuff, but the relationship did even in the early stage. Robes, I think deserve more than seeing him smack the first ass that came.
00:25:02
Speaker 3: In his stay right. I agree. Yeah, you talk about disrespect, but sometimes you make bad choices when you're angry or resentful or haven't let out how you really feel. If you know what, it's funny you said what you just said, and I feel like, even watching this episode, it could be an argument for letting yourself go to bed angry because it's so amazing. Sometimes you give it a little time, a little distance, a little space. All those things you were upset about suddenly don't matter that much, and you can find a way back to each other when you just take a beat. So this happened much quicker than I thought, and not everybody. Look, there's clarity. There's clarity when you have a little time away from each other. And some people are learning that they want to be with each other, and some people are learning they're very happy with the new person they've just been introduced to.
00:25:48
Speaker 2: Or Kazy might not be learning anything. I don't know what he's doing anymore.
00:25:53
Speaker 3: Well, we can't wait to see what happens tonight. In the villa and in the casa will be watching. But we always a prereciate you listening. I made robot alongside t. J. Holmes. We'll talk to you soon.
