The fallout continues after Disney's decision to indefinitely suspend Kimmel's show after those comments he made in his monologue at the beginning of the week that were deemed insensitive to Kirk's death.

They were the first to announce they'd stop airing the show for the foreseeable future. Sinclair is the largest owner of ABC stations in the country. Twenty one year old Trey Reed was found on the Delta State University campus this week, and police immediately said that foul play was not suspected. But now the corner says, yes, it was a suicide.

Speaker 1: He said there were no lacerations, there were no fractures. Basically, there was nothing to suggest that this student had been assaulted. However, Reed's family is still looking for answers and has hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump.

Thought this was good on the school president to recognize that this case is not just about facts, it's about emotions. Twenty one year old Trey Reed was found on the Delta State University campus this week, and police immediately said that foul play was not suspected. But now the corner says, yes, it was a suicide.

Speaker 1: He said there were no lacerations, there were no fractures. Basically, there was nothing to suggest that this student had been assaulted. However, Reed's family is still looking for answers and has hired civil rights attorney Ben Crump.

Speaker 2: Na Crump is now vowed to do his own investigation and said the family cannot accept vague conclusions and will be pursuing full transparency. Thought this was good on the school president to recognize that this case is not just about facts, it's about emotions. Even if this was a suicide, the imagery of a black man hanging from a tree in Mississippi stirs up a lot in people, and I was good to at least acknowledge that even if this turns out it was a suicide, still shakes people.

Speaker 1: Welcome back to this Friday Morning Rona. Next up on the run, A man died yesterday after riding a roller coaster at Universal Orlando. The thirty two year old man was on a ride at Epic Universe. That's a new Universal theme park that just opened in May.

Speaker 2: According to authorities, the man was found unresponsive after the ryde. So, yeah, he was actually ended up unresponsive at some point during the ride. And they have not announced having told us what happened, but they say he had multiple blunt impact injuries.

Next up on the run, President Trump is nothing if not persistent. He's giving it yet another shot at firing Lisa Cook from the Federal Reserve. He's asking the Supreme Court to issue an emergency order that allows him to kick her off the Federal Reserve Board of Governors.

Speaker 2: Okay, he's been at this for a while now, right, He's been trying to fire her. In fact, he did fire her last month. She sued and won, he appealed, she won again. She was able to keep her job and participate in this week's Federal Reserve meeting that resulted in that quarter point interest rate cut. The next Board meeting is October the twenty eighth. We'll see if she's there, but we certainly know he doesn't want her to be.
