Speaker 1: Hey there, everybody. It is Thursday, December fourth, and this is day four of our Holiday Gift Guide. And each day we've been sharing with you some holiday gift ideas that our producers from iHeart sent to our apartment. We're testing them out fifteen in total, one every weekday, and the hope is we can make your holiday shopping a little bit easier. We're not getting paid by these products. We're giving our honest feedback about what these gifts have been like to experience. And we have been very excited about this particular gift.
00:00:40
Speaker 2: This is dangerous.
00:00:41
Speaker 1: It's a game. It's called fill your Tank questions people are never honest about. Oh wow, okay you nervous?
00:00:50
Speaker 2: Uh? I don't well, we're recording this. If I don't like something, we can stop, all right.
00:00:55
Speaker 1: So this deck of cards, I think this already, this seems like a really fun, interactive gift.
00:01:02
Speaker 2: Again.
00:01:03
Speaker 1: It's called fill your Tank questions people are never honest about, and so it has fifty three question cards. They're designed to spark deeper, honest conversations and ones that you never probably have on your own.
00:01:18
Speaker 2: Now, is this something you can win or lose? Or this is just something to have fun with like cars of humanity against Umanity.
00:01:23
Speaker 1: So I didn't read the rules. I think it's just to have fun. So basically there are they've got three different levels, so three different levels of intensity, so it lets you start out light and easy, and then you can get into more vulnerable conversations at your own pace. So each level takes you deeper, okay, and then you can get I didn't see this five bonus introspective questions, so that you can get to know someone new or reconnect with people you love. They suggest that you take this box of cards with you on everything from wine nights to weekend trips to late night couch chats, so you can do it a group of two to six.
00:02:06
Speaker 2: Don't take it on a honeymoon.
00:02:07
Speaker 1: And maybe you should do this before you propose.
00:02:11
Speaker 2: Wow.
00:02:14
Speaker 1: But this is how they describe this deck of cards, raw, unfiltered and intentionally honest, a fun way to break down walls and actually learn something real about the people around you.
00:02:27
Speaker 2: And that's why we got We held off because Sabine was hanging out and opened this box, was checking out and read us a few and we said stop. This is going to be an incredible podcast because the questions are uncomfortable. They're uncomfortable at least what we've seen so far, and you're supposed to answer them honestly. Who's going to answer this honestly in the middle of the game.
00:02:47
Speaker 1: Well that's the whole point though, I mean the questions. Are we going to answer this honestly? Can we say?
00:02:51
Speaker 2: Skip?
00:02:51
Speaker 1: So we right now A gave each other yep, some cards from level one, level two, and level three to ask one another. Now we have looked at these cards, we have not so I think we should be able to have pass.
00:03:05
Speaker 2: Come on, let's not do that. No passes here. Let's show the people how this game is supposed to work. Oh my goodness, is this and no? You give the price and everything later? Is this a fairly new game where something like this has been out and we're just hearing about it.
00:03:20
Speaker 1: I've never heard of this game before. You know, I love games, Cards against Humanity, all of those kind of fun.
00:03:26
Speaker 2: There's no winner loser in that, is it? Well, you're just going around.
00:03:30
Speaker 1: There's no winner or loser. No, but you people play it with a glass of beverage in hand and have fun with How would.
00:03:36
Speaker 2: You play that? And seeing people get pissed like it gets really uncomfortable.
00:03:40
Speaker 1: Oh, I have seen I have been in situations where couples get into we're going to break up fights over certain things being revealed or said or shared or suspected.
00:03:54
Speaker 2: So maybe this game is not one for everybody. Really, you need to be playing with people you are very close, comfortable, and who will be like maybe family.
00:04:03
Speaker 1: I think you have to be in the right state of mind. I think you have to be willing to be open and vulnerable and want to hear honest answers and not take things personally or have expectations that someone should or needs to answer a certain way.
00:04:16
Speaker 2: Is this supposed to be fun?
00:04:17
Speaker 1: Though? It's supposed to be fun, But I'm a little murvous. Maybe my story about breakup couples, but that was a specific would you rather or I've one of those stupid games and it just, man, it just absolutely spiraled out.
00:04:33
Speaker 2: Okay, here, so these are the ones that Sabine already let us here, so I'll share it. We've heard, so let's give people an idea. Now. It just so happens the ones Sabine gave us are all level three. Oh I did not know.
00:04:44
Speaker 1: That she went straight for the love of free intensity. That makes sense. Okay.
00:04:47
Speaker 2: So the cards just on one side have a color and it says level one, level till over three And then you turn on the back and the question is there here it is is there somebody that left your life that you wish stayed? A question like that? Right, your head is spinning, and I'm sure people who are listening you think about that. If you're sitting around with a group of people and somebody asked you that in front of everybody, do you have and answer? Another card? Level three? Describe your last poop.
00:05:16
Speaker 1: Ill?
00:05:17
Speaker 2: Would you do that in front of a group?
00:05:19
Speaker 1: No?
00:05:19
Speaker 2: Yeah, Do you wish you lost your virginity at a different time into a different person?
00:05:24
Speaker 1: That could cause a problem in a relationship?
00:05:27
Speaker 2: Another level three card? Turn them back and this is all it says, worst sex story.
00:05:32
Speaker 1: Go.
00:05:35
Speaker 2: What is the most physically attractive part of yourself? I think we answer that in front of Sabine. We had a good time with. Yes, what would your younger self say about the person you are today? It's not so bad as the level three Right, that's not bad. What do you think is the most beautiful thing about me? Is this one? So that gives you an idea those and when she went through those, we were having such a good time. We said stop, we'll wait and we'll do this in front of everybody. So do you so far at least what you know of the game? Is it something you recommend?
00:06:07
Speaker 1: I think this is great. I think this is fun. I think this is a fun gift because it's something that could be played later. You know, we've got family gatherings and again, as long as you're in a comfortable space, this is a really fun gift that everyone can enjoy. I like that. It's an experience and it's something that can be used again and again and again.
00:06:26
Speaker 2: Oh, there's nothing political. You don't know that yet. You want to go you know what I'm going to do this? Okay, I'm a star. Level two. Let's go down the middle with a steet spot. I question again, folks, she has not seen it. I have not seen it. We're all going to do it. Lie, you're ready to be it?
00:06:41
Speaker 1: Yeah? All right?
00:06:41
Speaker 2: Level two question from this gift we are possibly recommending it says, would you rather be alone or settle for the wrong person alone? What is an insult somebody said to you that you still remember today, you're a fraud. What is something you think people over react to.
00:07:08
Speaker 1: Life's little annoyances?
00:07:10
Speaker 2: Nice? What is something you learned in your last breakup? And with that we'll take a commercial break up.
00:07:22
Speaker 1: That it's better to be it's it's better to rip the band aid off?
00:07:28
Speaker 2: Wow? Wow? Okay, so those are all your level two. I have to be honest with you. Not so bad.
00:07:33
Speaker 1: No, it wasn't bad. But let's see how you feel when I return. Should I do level two? I'll do level two. I'll do tit for tat all.
00:07:42
Speaker 2: Right, that's what a relationship is, after all.
00:07:45
Speaker 1: When was the last time you cried? Uh?
00:07:49
Speaker 2: Probably this morning? Typically I do it in the morning, you know what. I'm be honest. I cary almost daily with something emotional, not because something upset me, but something touches me in some way. What was the last It was during news coverage of some kind. I cannot remember, but it was a news story that did it.
00:08:08
Speaker 1: Wow, I do I do concur you do cry almost daily? It's very sweet? I see you?
00:08:13
Speaker 2: Why see not sweet? Sad? It's terrible.
00:08:15
Speaker 1: No, you you're you're I feel like you're in connection with your emotions. That's amazing. All right, would you rather break somebody's heart or get your heartbroken?
00:08:23
Speaker 2: Give my heart broken?
00:08:25
Speaker 1: Yeah? What is the farthest you've cyber stalked someone?
00:08:30
Speaker 2: The farthest yep?
00:08:32
Speaker 1: What does?
00:08:32
Speaker 2: I don't even know what that means, Like how far?
00:08:34
Speaker 1: How long have you googled, like done a deep dive basically on somebody, like you're trying to figure.
00:08:40
Speaker 2: Out like what ours days, weeks, months, Yeah.
00:08:42
Speaker 1: It's the farthest you've cyber stalked somebody.
00:08:44
Speaker 2: I don't know if I ever have, only for a news story, probably cyberstalked.
00:08:49
Speaker 1: Meaning like that's kind of it sounds like a nefarious term, but you're googling them to find more and more. Like it could even be a celebrity, like for instance, Terror Reid. Right, we're looking to see what happened to her? How deep did you dive into her life or whatever? Like that would be the thing I could think of.
00:09:04
Speaker 2: Not very is my response to.
00:09:07
Speaker 1: Okay, are we going to go to level three? Oh?
00:09:10
Speaker 2: You're done with Two's?
00:09:11
Speaker 1: Okay?
00:09:12
Speaker 2: So that wasn't so bad.
00:09:14
Speaker 1: No, not at all.
00:09:15
Speaker 2: That was so I assume the level ones won't be so. So now my question is does the game go far enough. My question to you now, is it provocative enough?
00:09:23
Speaker 1: I think we'd have to go and see what level three brings us.
00:09:26
Speaker 2: All right, well, folks, stay with us when we come back. You know what, let me knock out the level ones. Can I do that with you?
00:09:31
Speaker 1: Yeah?
00:09:31
Speaker 2: Okay, so this can't be that bad. Level one? Is your life more a result of luck or hard work?
00:09:38
Speaker 1: Hard work? All right? Are you a follow the herd or create new ways? Mentality?
00:09:44
Speaker 2: Yeah, let's try to create new ways there. What is a red flag you've ignored? Now? That's an interesting question.
00:09:53
Speaker 1: Love bombing?
00:09:54
Speaker 2: Nice?
00:09:56
Speaker 1: What is the first thing you think about when you wake up? Work?
00:10:02
Speaker 2: Shit? It's work.
00:10:05
Speaker 1: That's an honest answer, that's true.
00:10:08
Speaker 2: From one to ten? How happy are you to wake up every day?
00:10:12
Speaker 1: Nine?
00:10:13
Speaker 2: Okay, we're going to talk about that last one later. This is se that's a relationship question there. Why is it not a ten?
00:10:21
Speaker 1: Because it's four am? That's why seem like I could wake up at six thirty, it'd be a ten.
00:10:26
Speaker 2: You wake up alone every morning, and that's because I'm already out of it.
00:10:29
Speaker 1: I know, I know. Yeah, so I feel guilty. That's part of that too. If time was frozen for eight hours right now, and you could still move freely. What would you do?
00:10:44
Speaker 2: I have questions. I have questions. Is anybody going to know what I was doing?
00:10:49
Speaker 1: No? Because time is frozen, so you can do whatever you want, Like all of us are frozen and it's just you. What do you do?
00:10:55
Speaker 2: I got eight hours?
00:10:56
Speaker 1: Eight hours.
00:11:00
Speaker 2: I might disappear, I might put it all together. And when everybody starts moving again, where's TJ.
00:11:06
Speaker 1: Well, that's a relationship vender too.
00:11:09
Speaker 2: Look, were supposed to be honest here. If you don't like my answers, you should stop asking scared questions. What is the worst thing you have forgiven? I'm glad I did not get that question?
00:11:21
Speaker 1: The worst wow thing you have forgiven? Ooh? I just think like, oh.
00:11:32
Speaker 2: Do I have options?
00:11:33
Speaker 1: I do?
00:11:34
Speaker 2: Okay, that could come up with one.
00:11:35
Speaker 1: Do you want to know what I was trying to think? Have I truly forgiven? I think being lied about, like deliberately maliciously lied about. I think for me that's been the hardest start, and I think I've forgiven on my way and last one for you ask a wise friend in the group to oh, that doesn't make any sense, what is it? Says? Ask a wise friend in the group to write their own question into the deck and sign it.
00:12:10
Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, yeah, we're not going to do that. Most embarrassing moment you chose to forget about.
00:12:18
Speaker 1: Most embarrassing moment I chose to forget about? Well, then, why would I want to tell everybody right now?
00:12:26
Speaker 2: What is a small thing you judge people about?
00:12:29
Speaker 1: Oh?
00:12:31
Speaker 2: I think do you hold grudges?
00:12:33
Speaker 1: No?
00:12:34
Speaker 2: See, okay, folks. That gives you an idea again the game. What's the name here? Fill your tank? It comes in this actually small, cute, little easily to carry.
00:12:42
Speaker 1: I like it.
00:12:43
Speaker 2: This is very at all cards to come in a little box like this. It's very easy to travel with, very easy to carry. But again those were level one and level two a little uncomfortable at times. Stay here will tell you where you can get this thing, how much it's going to cost. You will tell you if we actually do recommend it, and most importantly, we will tell tell you how we are about to answer the still unseen level three cards in the decks. Stay here, we continue back. We are still together after the first round level one and level two of this game. It's our gift guy, Fill your tank. This is a fun one. It's been a couple of beauty items so far, a neck pillow. But this is a fun game, and if you're going to get this one, I would recommend you get it before the holiday so everybody could enjoy it. Maybe during the holiday.
00:13:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's really fun and thought provoking, and so far it's interesting. The level one questions I think actually were a little bit more fun trickier.
00:13:43
Speaker 2: Oh well they may. They were more thought provocative, provocative than yes than the two two. So I don't know what to expect from level three.
00:13:50
Speaker 1: I don't either, but should we give it a whirl?
00:13:53
Speaker 2: Level three questions again reminded they come in level one, level two, Level three these are supposed to be the more difficult and probing ones. How about this, robes, What are you insecure about that you shouldn't be but still are? Damn? These are tough things.
00:14:10
Speaker 1: That something that I'm insecure about that I shouldn't be, but that I still am. Ah, I'm trying to think they.
00:14:20
Speaker 2: Do get tougher. I guess they do.
00:14:24
Speaker 1: I guess that I no that I actually should be insecure about that. Guess.
00:14:29
Speaker 2: Okay, you need to move on.
00:14:32
Speaker 1: I know I can't think of that's a tough one.
00:14:36
Speaker 2: Rapid fire. All right.
00:14:37
Speaker 1: What is the most pain you felt that wasn't physical?
00:14:41
Speaker 2: Uh, it might have been a was it a relationship? I'm trying to think of a more gutting one. I'm thinking about deaths and family members. A pain I felt there was a personal defeat, you know, it might have Yeah, I remember her heartbreak more than anything else. I'm trying to think of a pain that wasn't physical. I remember that more anything. Yeah, I had some professional losses that job and work out. I didn't get that. It was just devastating and almost feel that in my gut, and so the stuff was in the heart.
00:15:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true.
00:15:20
Speaker 2: If someone were to write a biography about you, what would you want them to leave out? These do get good? Oh man, y'all should see her face right now.
00:15:34
Speaker 1: I would say I would want them to leave out any anything embarrassing, which is a lot.
00:15:47
Speaker 2: Oh my god. Okay, keep it going, all right.
00:15:50
Speaker 1: What is the worst thing you've had to apologize to someone else for?
00:15:55
Speaker 2: Worst thing I apologize to some one else?
00:16:01
Speaker 1: Four?
00:16:05
Speaker 2: The worst thing I've apologized for Because I think I think of all these bad things I've done, I'd never apologized for it. That reads I'm kidding. I know the worst thing I'm trying to I stole something once, but I was a child, so I don't know if that was so bad. You know what I I apologize to a coworker for talking about them behind their back, and I walked them into the I went into their face and I said I should have I had a problem with you, and I told somebody else about it, and I ducked around it and I skipped and I walked to her and I looked at her in the face and I said, hey, I apologize, and this happened and I had to reveal and we were cool after that.
00:16:54
Speaker 1: Wow, that's impressive.
00:16:55
Speaker 2: I'm not sure why I ended up doing that old, but yeah, I didn't have to. Not impressive.
00:17:01
Speaker 1: Most people wouldn't do that. That's that. That takes a lot of courage.
00:17:05
Speaker 2: I know the level three for you? How many items are in your bedside drawer that you would choose not to disclose to a group?
00:17:13
Speaker 1: Zero?
00:17:14
Speaker 2: Yeah, I was in there.
00:17:17
Speaker 1: You've seen it. There's nothing in there.
00:17:19
Speaker 2: It's a mess, though.
00:17:20
Speaker 1: But other than that, Penn's keys, passports.
00:17:24
Speaker 2: And a bunch of glass cases, sunglass and a.
00:17:27
Speaker 1: Lot of yep, and then I have a lot of lip balm, like lots of different kinds of But that's not embarrassing, all right. What is something you wish people noticed more about you?
00:17:39
Speaker 2: You know what kindness? People recognize it individually, but you have seen this, like the the I forget sometimes the things I have done, and then I have somebody come up to me and say, man, several years ago when I had bo I have that happen to me on individual basis, But I am considered sometimes. I mean, yes, that story is written not for us sometimes, but I think I am even sometimes I stop and I go, wow, I forgot I did that? Remember we in Arkansas and this girl I ain't talked to. She's a grown woman now, she said when she was in high school, I wrote a letter to her encouraging her to go to the Universe of Arkansas Journalism department and not the University of Missouri.
00:18:24
Speaker 1: You remember that, That's very cool.
00:18:25
Speaker 2: I'm like, Okay, I find like things like that I don't recognize. And sometimes everybody, remember, you make an impact on people, one buccaroo at a times.
00:18:33
Speaker 1: Sometimes yes, But I think people also just don't recognize how kind you are for a lot of reasons, because you're direct, and I think there's a real kindness to that. But some people are taken aback by that and don't recognize how kind that actually is. I've appreciated that about you, and some people aren't, like it's better than being some smooth talking schmoozer who's just manipulating you. You are not like that, and there's a real kindness to that, which I appreciate. I was actually trying to think about because I didn't want to skip out of not having the insecure you know what it is? I would think something that I'm still insecure about that I shouldn't be is weakness of any kind, physical or mental or emotional. I am insecure about it. I beat myself up about it. I don't give myself the up because I don't like to be weak and that's ridiculous, and I feel insecure about it. So I always maybe even posture or try to prove something when I know I can't do it physically or weakness. The weakness is that, No, what is weakness to you? Oh, physically not being able to do something or reach something.
00:19:35
Speaker 2: Any I can't do. We all can't, but sure.
00:19:38
Speaker 1: About it, And I think I try to pretend like I'm not, and that's that is something that's I need to let go. But I know that I'm like.
00:19:46
Speaker 2: That, like on the plane trying to put your bag.
00:19:48
Speaker 1: Up exactly exactly.
00:19:49
Speaker 2: That's ridiculous. See, who's a big girl to make fun of me? Three?
00:19:56
Speaker 1: Oh you got one more?
00:19:57
Speaker 2: Oh you don't have any more? One? Great? Do you still think about your excess? That's the question.
00:20:04
Speaker 1: No, that is very easy to answer. Absolutely.
00:20:08
Speaker 2: Okay, So folks, that gives you an idea of this game. It's this is a fun one. Fill your tank, and it's one I think is more fun the more people maybe you have around the table. Really is our drinks necessary for this one?
00:20:21
Speaker 1: They're not necessary, but they might make people be a little more honest. You know what they say about liquid courage. So look, if you are somebody who likes to have a little wine a little beer when you're playing a game around the table, this would sure be a fun one, I think to add to the merriment.
00:20:38
Speaker 2: And this isn't an expensive one? Well, yes, where can we find this one? And how much it's going to set us back?
00:20:43
Speaker 1: Yes? So this is at goop dot com and the retail price is twenty five bucks. So it's a perfect stocking stuffer. It's a great gift to give someone that everyone can enjoy. So I fully recommend this. How about you?
00:21:00
Speaker 2: Can you use this over and over? I wonder if you with the same group or will this get old?
00:21:06
Speaker 1: I think you would definitely want to mix up the groups because at a certain point if you go through all the cards. A lot of these types of games, if they're successful, they'll have like edition one, Edition two, they know that they have to kind of keep upping. The anti cards against Humanity has like I don't even know how many different variations that you can keep playing it. But I love the idea of this, and I think it could make your holidays even more fun because you're going deep. You're getting to learn about the people who you love spending time.
00:21:36
Speaker 2: With, or you'll have a family disaster, but either way it'll be entertaining. With that, we also one, two, three. I'm trying to think of this is is this the first one I recommend?
00:21:47
Speaker 1: Maybe? I don't know if you have because you really haven't put your rubber stamp on anything because they've mostly been for us girls.
00:21:53
Speaker 2: Yes, the neck pillow thing, I at least acknowledged it looks better than the other neck pillows without the hood. Though without the hood. Okay, anyway, that was Gift three.
00:22:00
Speaker 1: Check out now and tomorrow. I want to tease what we are bringing to you tomorrow. It will be our Friday gift, So this will be the fifth in our series. It is for the athletic content creator in your life. It is it's a multifunctional gift that I believe most people under the age of thirty five will love. There there's some function to this and some fun to it. So excited about bringing this one to you tomorrow.
00:22:30
Speaker 2: Most confusing tease ever, which is what teases should be. It's a mystery.
00:22:36
Speaker 1: And with that everyone, thank you for listening to us. I made roboch alongside TJ. Holmes. We'll talk to you soon.
