He's Not a Savior, He's a Doctor! Trump Hilariously Explains The Uproar

He's Not a Savior, He's a Doctor! Trump Hilariously Explains The Uproar

Is he for real? President Trump is insisting what some are calling a blasphemous image of him as Jesus, was actually only meant to show him as a doctor. Trump has taken down the post, after leaving it up for a full 14 hours, giving conservative pundits plenty of time to criticize him, several even calling him the “antichrist.” Trump did not apologize, but instead blamed the fake news for likening the image to Jesus.

Speaker 1: Hey there votes it is Monday, April thirteen. I cannot get the date out without laughing. Welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. The president's picture depicting himself as Jesus. He has come out and explained. Robes. It's not what we thought it was.

00:00:25
Speaker 2: Okay, right, because I forgot the doctors wear biblical robes and have powers, divine powers with angels behind them.

00:00:37
Speaker 1: Okay, that was sarcasm, and there's gonna be a lot of it throughout here. We are hopping on because robes. It's laughable. No, no, it's not laughable, like I'm making fun It's funny that the president of the United States who has put out a post you all saw it. Probably it's still out there even though he has taken down, which is a big deal. Robes, but it depicts him. We're looking at it him wearing a white robe draped with the red what is that over his shoulders?

00:01:02
Speaker 2: Robes?

00:01:02
Speaker 1: And then he has light emanating from his left hand, and his right hand is on a man's forehead who is a patient. Light emanating all around robes. There are angels over his wings, over his shoulders, I mean, robes. What else is this but him depicting hisself one as Jesus or maybe a saint.

00:01:24
Speaker 2: Correct, those are the only two actual responses that are truthful, because don't tell me that he said that's him as a doctor. I don't even want to have to get into the all the reasons why it's obviously not him as a doctor. There's no lab coat, there's no stethoscope, there's nothing about that picture that shows a doctor.

00:01:51
Speaker 1: Okay, so we are hopping on because just a short time ago, the President unexpectedly stepped out and made some comments. He took a couple of questions, and one of them obviously was about this post that Robes has been condemned by everybody. Nobody is defending this post. Blasphemy was essentially one of the trending topics anti Christ. Right, all this stuff today, people are talking about Robes. This was offensive one that this post was the one right after he took down, if you will, the Pope, meaning he had a long post just criticizing him. People took issue with that, and this picture followed up. So Robes, I don't this is rare that we've seen the president take something down, So that means something about the pressure was getting to him. Now, we're gonna play what he said in the second. But Robes, doesn't it say a whole lot that he took it down?

00:02:48
Speaker 2: Yes, and by the way, I would have loved a couple follow ups because I was shouting them so and we will get into his actual statement about him being a doctor versus Jesus. But if he really was just portraying himself as a doctor, why would he take it down? Why would he need to remove it if it's so obvious he's a doctor in that photo, and that only the fake news would make up such a crazy thing to say that this looked like he was saying he was Jesus or a saint. We're so out there and so crazy, and that's not at all with this picture was intended to depict. Then why did he take it down?

00:03:28
Speaker 1: Apparently because it was coming from everywhere, wasn't it, Robes, Yes, the criticism was coming from Catholic leaders in this country speaking in unison almost Robes that it's coming from all over the world. Some of the quotes in the comparisons. It's not just a soft criticism on this one. These were some pretty hard like consistently, Robes, we heard statements that really condemn with the president.

00:03:55
Speaker 2: Yes, conservative political activist Riley Gaines, Seriously, I cannot understand why he'd post this. Is he looking for a response Either way, two things are true. A little humility would serve him well. God shall not be mocked and look. Conservative political commentator Michael Knowles said, I assume someone has already told him, but it behooves the president, both spiritually and politically, to delete the picture, no matter the intent. I thought that was interesting. They were actually praying for his soul. It wasn't even about the political backlash. They were actually concerned he was throwing this in God's face and could actually suffer the consequences spiritually if he didn't take this down. That's how upset.

00:04:39
Speaker 1: People were in It has been a centerpiece of his presidency, a lot of his language, a lot of language from his cabinet, and even in this war, criticism has come because some of the stuff from Pete HEGSA. Too often they're using how the Pope was critical of this very thing. You do not wage war on be in God's name.

00:05:01
Speaker 2: He's that's not blood on your hands.

00:05:05
Speaker 1: So religion has been smack dab in the middle and certainly a part of his movement. Robes and to do this, I mean, blasphemous was the word that was used. So today the President got in front of cameras and robes. I we were sitting down and I had a computer facing me. You didn't have one, and I flipped it. I said, you're not gonna believe this. And no matter what you think, he could have come. He could have put it off on somebody else, some kid did it, didn't realize what was in it. He had that option and he didn't take it. And I'm not exactly sure why. So, folks, we're gonna let you hear. You're gonna hear here first the voice of a reporter. It's kind of hard to hear, but she's asking him about the photo and if he posted it himself. So here is the President answering the question about the photo.

00:05:57
Speaker 2: Yourself. It was a depiction. It was me. I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor and had to do with Red Cross as a Red Cross worker there, which we support.

00:06:09
Speaker 1: And only the fake news could come up with that one, sir. I I just heard about it, and I said, how did they come up with that?

00:06:19
Speaker 2: It's supposed to be me as a doctor making people better, and I do make people better. I make people a lot better. How did they come up with that? How did you come up with doctor?

00:06:32
Speaker 1: Fake news? Okay, all right, you want to start there. Yes, he's seen it, right, Yeah, he's seen it. He said he posted it. Okay, Okay, here we are. We're struggling. And I said this to you earlier, I said, robes, we should stop falling into this trap of now trying to call the president on what he did by using logic, our eyes, some common sense, even sometimes facts and history. This does not need to be I don't need we don't need to go through every single part of this picture to understand robe that he's standing are that those are lights coming from him?

00:07:11
Speaker 2: Yes, every single person who looks at this photo can get nothing from this photo. And the only other thing that I would give folks, Okay, maybe you don't see Jesus Christ, but at least you see something that is a saint or saint like or divine. There is no doctor in that picture. Doctors don't wear white robes with red sashes like we see priests wear. I mean that is something that a priest would wear. That is something that a saint or a disciple of Christ would wear, and certainly something that Jesus Christ himself has been depicted in something very similar. And also of note the light, the light in his palm, the light on his hand as he is healing the sick. It is implying very obviously in this photo that he can heal through divine work.

00:08:04
Speaker 1: Down r is what he.

00:08:05
Speaker 2: Is depicting himself, healing the wounded, and everyone gathered around him, the angels above him, God is on his side. He has divine powers to heal. That is what that picture is showing.

00:08:18
Speaker 1: Oh so if that's the case, then maybe in his mind he is a doctor.

00:08:24
Speaker 2: With magical powers, not magical divine and that is blasphemous.

00:08:32
Speaker 1: Okay, he's been blessed. Maybe that's what he's trying to say. Is he depicting himself? Is he going to be able to dance? When is Carolyn Levitt gonna get in front of a microphone again? When is somebody going to be able to ask a few questions to say, hey, tell me what in there is the doctor part? Well, there's a guy laying there who needs some medical attention, and the president is standing over him with his hand on his forehead and some lights coming from it, and that's meaning he has a fever.

00:08:57
Speaker 2: There needs to be some follow ups, and I just I actually I'm here for it. I can't wait to watch it. And look, we have talked a lot about former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green, who used to be a big part of the Maga circle. Obviously there has been a huge political and public falling out. But I actually thought what she said about this makes so much sense because she put it in context. This isn't a single thing he's just done today. This is in conjunction with several other choices he's made over the past several days. So this is what she said on Orthodox Easter, which is today, sorry, which was last Sunday. On Easter. On Orthodox Easter, President Trump attacked the Pope because the Pope is rightly against Trump's war in Iran, and then he posted this picture of himself as if he is replacing Jesus. This comes after last week's post of his evil tirade on Easter and then threatening to kill an entire civilization. I completely denounced this and I am praying against it. You take this photo in connection or in combination with his truth social post about the Pope. You take this in connection with his announcement on Easter that he was going to watch an entire civilization die, and people are now speaking up. It's interesting to me because he is now he offended Catholics, or at least a lot of Catholics around the world. But and you even said Christians with what he said against the Pope. But now with this depiction as someone, yeah, everybody, now you've just angered anyone who believes in God.

00:10:39
Speaker 1: I don't know what he was hoping to get out of this. But Robes, as much as we have seen from this president here lately with his truth social posts, we're used to him being a certain way. But would you not and I will ask you this on the other side the question, now are we seeing something that even for or him, is a step too far? Stay here, all right? We continue here on Amy and TJ. Robes. It's it's we're used to. I mean, sometimes they're funny, sometimes they're name calling, some of the stuff that can be a little mean at times, but we're used to his truth social posts. Now over the years, there has got to be something. Am I not the only one or is it just because it's recent. I don't think so, Robes, he's taking on a different tone in some of his messages now that that that are flying in the face of somebody being in good, stable mental condition.

00:11:47
Speaker 2: Yes, because I think this like and we we actually talked about this in an earlier podcast, because at a certain point, when does it all rise to the level of their actually needing to be some sort of evaluation, because this goes beyond ego. This is someone who actually is depicting himself as godlike and is acting as if he gets to decide country's fates. Their are population states who he thinks should be running their country and their government. He is acting godlike in a lot of the decisions he is making using our military to enact his command. And I know he is the commander in chief, but he has taken it to another level. He is acting like he is God of this world. And so then to see him kind of like own it and depict himself visually as this thing he has been acting like now for some time, I mean, it kind of makes sense.

00:12:54
Speaker 1: But then he backed off.

00:12:55
Speaker 2: Robes.

00:12:56
Speaker 1: Then he said, oh no, no, no, no, that's not what it was. So for whatever reason he thought there was some miscalculation and posting it in the first place. I don't know, but this is this is another We talked about this in a different type of situation serious. Nonetheless, this one is the other having to do with Alex Pretty when people got so upset they were coming out and calling this guy a terrorist, and we saw video that was telling us something else. It's a situation rooms where we're looking. We know what we see. He looked at us all and said, what your eyes are telling you are wrong. It's wrong. And what's really there is me as a doctor. I don't know where the fake news comes up with this stuff. Moving on to the next topic.

00:13:45
Speaker 2: Is anyone buying that?

00:13:46
Speaker 1: No, of course not, but we're gonna move on. This is just what happens. We're looking at it. He's telling us it's something else. But the answer he gave this time was hilarious.

00:14:01
Speaker 2: It was laughable, and that's just and it's it's scary. So I don't even want to laugh, except for you can't help but to laugh. I actually we were going back and forth. Was it Jesus? Was it was he being a saint? I actually like NBC's headline image depicting Trump as Christ like savior removed from the president's social media page following backlash. But that is actually a really good way to put what that picture depicted a Christ Like savior. So yeah, that's exactly what that picture is. It is not a physician working with the Red Cross.

00:14:37
Speaker 1: Cannot wait until we hear there's going to be other questions. There's going to be follow up on this, and I can't. I cannot wait to hear it.

00:14:46
Speaker 2: If this was closer to Halloween, and maybe it still will be a Halloween costume, but I could see someone wearing like putting on those biblical robes and having a Christ Like savior but have a Red Cross emblem on it or something, or like a stethoscope with it.

00:14:58
Speaker 1: You know what, I think, even part of on Halloween. No better than to be trying to dress up like Jesus.

00:15:03
Speaker 2: You know what, You're right, Halloween gets everybody in trouble.

00:15:08
Speaker 1: Just don't do it, all right, folks, just want to hop on. That was a hell of a one to hear. I always appreciate you spending some time, whether that's sim TJ. Holmes on behalf of my Damnie Robot we'll talk to y'all soon.
