RSS Feed Earlier today, federal agents shot and killed a man in the streets of Minneapolis, and once again there is video of the shooting all over the internet. The Department of Homeland Security is maintaining the unidentified 37 year old white, male Minneapolis resident approached ICE agents with a 9mm gun, but the videos appear to show a different version of events. Residents have taken to the streets to protest the latest shooting, despite the sub freezing conditions. Amy and T.J. have the latest details on this developing story.

Welcome to this breaking episode of Amy and TJ and Robes. Let's start with that, there is another ice involved shooting in Minneapolis. Happened this morning.

Speaker 2: Yes, it happened around nine AM. And by the way, temperatures were around ten degrees below zero. And yet people are out peacefully protesting as they have been for the past several weeks. But the person we know who was killed is a thirty seven year old white man. He is believed to be a Minneapolis resident with no prior criminal record, And that's all we have right now. But we are seeing videos and I'm saying videos plural, because there have been now at least two significant angles of videos that covered the moments leading up to the shooting.

Speaker 1: So yes, folks, there is another video of the shooting that people will now debate and debate and debate. But right now we are getting and we will pass along to you this story in three different versions, the version we're getting from the city, the version we're getting from the FEDS, and the version will give you from what we see with our own eyes in studying these videos as we have for the past several minutes before we hopped on here, let's start those rods with a DHS. They were the first to put out I guess, official statement about what the incident was, and this is their story.

Speaker 2: At nine oh five am Central time, as DHS law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault, an individual approached US Border Patrol officers with a nine millimeter semi automatic handgun. Scene here they have a picture of the gun in a seat of a car below this statement. The statement goes on to say this the officers attempted to disarm the suspect, but the armed suspect violently resisted. More details on the armed struggle are forthcoming. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots. Medics on scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect also had two magazines and no ID. This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement. About two hundred rioters arrived at at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement on the scene. Crowd control measures were deployed for the safety of the public and law enforcement. The situation is evolving and more information is forthcoming.

We did end up seeing a live press conference by the ICE, the guy who's heading of ICE operations. There he did add a few more details. He said, this person wanted this sounded like an ambush, he said, this person in his opinion, and he went a little with that and describing He said, this was someone who appeared and had two extra magazines he said that were full. He wanted to make sure he made that point and said this is what was on him, and they think he was approaching to do maximum damage. He went a little farther with that. He went as far as also trying to justify why they were there. They named the person who was targeted. It wasn't the individual that's dead.

Speaker 1: All right, we're going to get to that third version of events, which is the one we're seeing with our own eyes here in a second. But Rosey, this was the incredible part. The person who's dead is not the person who was the targeted person in the operation, who they say was an illegal immigrant who had what a criminal history, And they went on, yes, how they put it illegal alien as they excuse me as they like to put it. But then the city Now. Something the Ice guy said in his press conference was that Mayor Fry had left out the detail that the subject had a gun during his press conference. So yes, we listened to a Mayor Fry's press conference as well, including the police chief. This was I guess this was early on when they gave this particular press conference. They didn't have a lot of details, but they were the ones that let us know they have a name. They just didn't announce it correct.

Speaker 1: And right now. And the police chief was up there after this shooting happened. They said on the southeast side of the city, I believe it south side of the city. There was an unlawful assembly, as the police chief put it, and they were pleading with folks to go home because there was an angry group of a couple to a few hundred folks, they said, robes that were collecting there, and this was becoming a very explosive situation. So it was an unlawful assembly, and they were asking for mutual aid for help from other agencies to come in and try to calm this. As of right now, I think robes. As of this recording, things have calmed down. But it was an ugly scene for a little bit.

But they are even in colder weather than that, and so it's just kind of remarkable to think that the tensions are still building there given the weather and the storms.

And many of you hearing our voices may have seen the video all already. The video hit I think the internet before Homeland Security was able to even have a press conference and get their statement out. So there are two angles, I guess rogues. We'll start there of the shooting, but there is one that has a longer video where you actually see the first interaction with the guy who ends up dead, his first interaction with ICE agents. This is what you saw as well. Please tell me if you saw something different. So this is the guy they say approached them with a nine milimeter. So I asked what the quote was, but I guess you can get by he approached with a nine millimeter sounds like he had it out in a threatening way. He might have had it on him, but Robes, I feel pretty confident in saying this man in no way was brandishing a weapon as he approached officers.

They walk over to towards the side of where the curve is is, and you know, the woman, I think it's a woman is you know, in some sort of argument with the Ice officers and they eventually throw her, like push her on her back onto the curve. Correct And then he gets into it with the officers at that point.

But there's one particular moment and something caused a guy who was he wasn't even scuffling necessarily, he was standing there and something causes him to go for his holster and he draws and he fires.

It's a good chance you've seen it by now, but people are going to debate it robes just like the Renee Good situation, our own eyes looking at something and we're interpreting it differently.

But there's one particular moment and something caused a guy who was he wasn't even scuffling necessarily, he was standing there and something causes him to go for his holster and he draws and he fires.

Speaker 1: On Amy and TJ hopping on on this Saturday afternoon with his breaking story out of Minneapolis, and things right now are just as hot as they have been after ICE agents were involved in another shooting and now a thirty seven year old US citizen, according to the city, is dead after a violent scuffle that the video of it is everywhere online. It's a good chance you've seen it by now, but people are going to debate it robes just like the Renee Good situation, our own eyes looking at something and we're interpreting it differently.

And we watched both angles and slow mode, it paused it, tried to incrementally look at it as much as we can, and it's here's the point. I can't see. You can't see whether or not he pulled out his gun, or if maybe they just saw a gun in his holster.

I actually saw it and grabbed you and say, hey, is it possibly he's got a gun in his hand?
