Another Brewing ‘Love Island’ Controversy: TiTi Allegedly Threatened To Shoot Romantic Rival

Another Brewing ‘Love Island’ Controversy: TiTi Allegedly Threatened To Shoot Romantic Rival

TMZ is reporting that another woman obtained a restraining order against “Titi” whose legal name is Tierra Davis, back in 2018. The allegations are that Titi threatened to assault and even shoot this woman over an ex-boyfriend. While court records show the restraining order was granted, it was later dismissed. The question becomes, now that Titi is playing a significant role in the show, how does Love Island handle this latest controversy?

00:00:02
Speaker 1: And the folks. It is Tuesday, June thirtieth, and are you kidding me? Are we really about to go through this again? Is Love Island going to have to kick off another islander? And with that, welcome to this episode of Amy and TJ. I guess I should start with this. Nobody said the N word, woo, it's just, you know.

00:00:24
Speaker 2: A threat of violence.

00:00:25
Speaker 1: Other than that, Okay, is this real? We need to start with where we're getting this reporting, Robes.

00:00:29
Speaker 3: I think that's really an important part of this because this is just starting to break right now. But TMZ is reporting that they have seen they have obtained a twoy eighteen restraining order against TT.

00:00:46
Speaker 2: That's how we know her. But her name is Tierra Davis.

00:00:48
Speaker 3: Of course, she is the Casa Amoor bombshell that Casey brought back with him and is.

00:00:55
Speaker 1: Now playing quite prominently and importantly Robes in the storyline. She's in the middle of everything.

00:01:01
Speaker 2: She certainly is.

00:01:01
Speaker 3: And when she came back to the villa with well, I should say, arm in arm with Casey, she came in ready to fight, ready to defend her man.

00:01:11
Speaker 2: And so now when.

00:01:13
Speaker 3: We're hearing some of these reports, we're like, hmm, maybe I see where some of that passion is coming from.

00:01:18
Speaker 1: And I know we look for years. They are an entertainment website that breaks news. This is an entertainment website Robes that is now gained footing as a legit news source because they have over time. I can't remember what story it was, but it was one they got wrong and they followed up and said, we got this one wrong. But that doesn't happen that often. So when you hear something from TMZ Robes, it does carry legitimate weight. This isn't just some throwaway story. So Robes when they say they got their hands on it and they say this is real generally speaking, according to their track record, we should be listening to them.

00:01:54
Speaker 3: Yes, Harvey Levin has been very transparent when they have gotten it wrong, but more often than not, they get it right. And so this report says that Tiara Tierra excuse.

00:02:05
Speaker 2: Me, was seventeen.

00:02:07
Speaker 3: I believe that's how old she would have been at the time of this restraining order. And it alleges that Titi threatened to assault and even to shoot another girl all over a man, an ex boyfriend. And the thing is, if there's any truth.

00:02:26
Speaker 2: To that, why in God's name.

00:02:28
Speaker 3: Would you want to someone who has shown that type of behavior, no matter how young she was at the time, no matter how many years ago, to have that person then be on a dating show where it's all about stealing each other's man.

00:02:43
Speaker 1: You can't do this, right if this is true, Layton, Well, you.

00:02:46
Speaker 2: Couldn't risk.

00:02:49
Speaker 3: Of her emotional reaction to something if she's already shown that she's willing to threaten violence to another or towards another woman over a man.

00:03:01
Speaker 2: That is such a part of the.

00:03:03
Speaker 3: Dynamic in the villa, and you're they are pitting women against one another and men against one another competing for a love interest. So that seems like a powder keg of a situation to have someone walk into with that kind of alleged history.

00:03:17
Speaker 1: I guess then robes what you're saying absolutely one hundred percent the other part of it. If none of this is true, the optics demand they still pull her from the show like this could be nothing. It could have been wrong, it could have been untrue, it could have been vindictive by somebody, and none of this ever actually helps. But I'm saying, even if all of this is false, if truly a restraining order was filed against her ropes just the optics of it. You have to remove Titi from the island. You have to just under the appearance of you including somebody in a show who has threatened violence against a potential romantic rival. She's got to go, bro, how do what else can they do? This is I'm saying optics right, And look.

00:04:07
Speaker 2: Here's the deal to what you're saying.

00:04:09
Speaker 3: If producers had known about this, had found this ahead of time when they were doing their vetting, they never.

00:04:17
Speaker 2: Would have included her in the cast. We know that is absolutely true.

00:04:22
Speaker 3: But it's so interesting, babe. As you were saying this, you know what I immediately thought of Taylor Frankie Paul. Yeah, And that wasn't just a threat of violence. That wasn't just someone saying there was a threat. We actually have video of there being actual physical violence. And there is word that ABC is going to put the Bachelor or the Bachelorette season up with her on it shortly because there has been no further legal action. So I don't know what the threshold is when it comes to these times shows. And yes, very different networks, very different type of programming, but how comfortable do they feel having someone with this type of alleged history in the middle of a intense relationship show where you do have tempers flaring and feelings hurt and jealousy erupting. It could be something we're from a liability standpoint.

00:05:29
Speaker 2: They just can't risk the potential.

00:05:32
Speaker 1: See, I'm not even thinking about her as a threat to the others in the villa. I don't even see it like that right now. I see it, as you say, they never would have let her in. This is an optic situation. You cannot no matter how safe she could have converted her life, she could be who knows and never had. And also, this could not be true. Somebody just filed this and maybe she didn't really threat it. Okay, fine and dandy, So I am not. I'm seeing it as a as a producer, I guess, and being on the show robes for promoting and pushing a show in which you're trying to get people to hook up and have and find love. You cannot get America behind someone who is black and got braids and who's been talked about as potentially violent. She don't look like Frankie Taylor Paul. She does not. She is now and again Robes, I this stuff comes out. We could talk about the restraining order why it might have been missed here in a second, but Robes, the optics for the Love Island folks will not allow you to go Yep, we stand by putting somebody in this environment who is in her past been accused of threatening violence to the point that someone went to authorities and got a restraining order. You can't have You cannot optics, babe, You just cannot do it. How are you going to stand by the.

00:06:57
Speaker 3: Yeah, I hear what you're saying, And especially given how oh TT came into the villa and started going at it with Trinity, go at it with Anaya and was not backing down. And now if you go back and hear what this other woman claims she threatened to shoot her over a guy, that is terrible given what we've already seen from TT.

00:07:20
Speaker 2: Now she seems to have turned over a new leaf.

00:07:23
Speaker 3: She does seem to be a different version of what we saw when she walked into the villa a couple nights ago, but we don't know which version she is, and we don't know what really happened five years ago, six years ago.

00:07:35
Speaker 1: I would say she's all of those versions. She's all of them. She's complex like the rest of them. And I don't hold whatever happened in her pastro I'm just able to see and how she came in and came in hot. Yeah, every woman who's been hot in the villa? How many times they clapping? And now I ain't talking to you, bitch. All this type of stuff we hear it. But the girl, this one, all of a sudden, now we labeled her as something else because of what we're hearing in the past. TT came in hot, And I just I don't contextualize in any way her behavior in the villa in any different way now that I see that she allegedly has a restraining order. Okay, but ropes, they're going to need I need them to stand by her, right if you're going to tell me, we can you possibly say, you know what? She was a teenager at the time. She explained that situation to us, and we are comfortable with it. And people make changes and people make mistakes, and we are putting her out here, and let would they dare say that about a black woman and stand by her? Would they dare? Well?

00:08:42
Speaker 3: I guess I would also ask couldn't that same logic be applied to any of these other folks who got kicked out, who claim that's not who I am anymore. I don't use the N word anymore. That used to be who I was. It's not who I.

00:08:55
Speaker 1: Am now, one hundred and fifty percent. But they set a precedent exactly, they set a president.

00:09:00
Speaker 2: Kick those folks off.

00:09:01
Speaker 1: Can't have it.

00:09:02
Speaker 2: Doesn't matter how many years ago it was.

00:09:04
Speaker 1: Can't do it. The girl was a lot.

00:09:05
Speaker 3: I were fifteen years old when she sang along to that song and sang the N word. She's twenty one now, but five years ago doesn't matter.

00:09:14
Speaker 1: It's so in from their space worldes I understand, and I'm okay with Nope, the background in the history, this is there. We don't want this to be a part of the show. That's a legitimate argument. I got no.

00:09:28
Speaker 3: I cannot believe there is another over here again controversy about another contestant possibly displaying really bad decisions.

00:09:39
Speaker 2: A few years ago.

00:09:40
Speaker 1: The seventeen folks, I think the one that accused was sixteen.

00:09:44
Speaker 3: I think yeah, it was like sixteen, seventy, seventeen, eighteen, something like that. But here's the deal, so from what TMZ has gathered, that order, that restraining order was granted against t T, but it was later dismissed. It was like October to December basically of two eighteen. That was what we're talking about, or the timeframe we're talking about. So perhaps because it was later dismissed, it wasn't searchable or it wasn't found by producers because clearly at this point, and I can't imagine what the vetting is going to be like for the next few seasons because they have obviously let a lot of things slip through the cracks. And I'm actually just shocked because when you have contestants so young, it's hard to imagine. There are so many videos and I guess in the age of everyone going online from the moment they're thirteen years old, there's just so much history, so much evidence potentially or videos or problems that people are documenting that you can't ignore.

00:10:41
Speaker 1: Well, this is you say that I didn't think about this is this would be the first one that does not have video evidence attached to it. Right, you say this about young people? How can you be twenty one and have a history.

00:10:55
Speaker 2: That will get you five skeletons in your closet. How do you have skeletons when you're in your early twelve.

00:11:00
Speaker 1: One of the girls right, she was on podcasts. Another in all these Twitter and social media folks are coming back to bite them in the butt at a time where this should be a wonderful opportunity for them, and instead wrote it costs them who knows what, reputation, family, friends, jobs, That's it. That's tough. But Titi came in. She came in, like we said rose at Casa Amore. What was our impression of her? Focused?

00:11:28
Speaker 2: I should say focused.

00:11:30
Speaker 3: She wanted Casey from the get go. She came in with a mission. She seemed purposeful, but she seemed playful and sweet. She had she had sas to her. She had attitude. You could tell she and Casey are cut from the same cloth. They came from the same part of the world.

00:11:46
Speaker 2: So there was just this, There was this.

00:11:49
Speaker 3: But I didn't feel like she was aggressive or in some way just angry or mean or somewhere you'd be like, oh that girl watch I didn't feel that way.

00:12:01
Speaker 1: No, we actually remember, we actually thought she had a good moment where she got annoyed or jealous that Casey wanted to sleep in the bed.

00:12:08
Speaker 2: With another girl.

00:12:09
Speaker 1: And then she came back apologized, yes, for her own behavior. She said, look, I was a little upset. You do what you want. I say, Wow, okay, we got one. She's a good one.

00:12:18
Speaker 3: Maybe she's learned from her mistakes. She's twenty five now, she was seventeen at the time. That's a big eight those eight years are That's a big, big difference between who you are at seventeen and who you are at twenty five.

00:12:31
Speaker 1: And she lists herself as a nanny, a model, and dancer. I've never seen that combo necessarily before. But hey, the girl she's working and doing a thing. She has several credits listed in the music videos. Oh really was a dancer.

00:12:44
Speaker 2: I didn't know that that was the new triple threat. Nanny, model, dancer.

00:12:48
Speaker 1: That means she can take care of kids, she's hot, and she can move.

00:12:51
Speaker 2: Yep, I mean that sounds like wife material.

00:12:54
Speaker 1: That's why she's on the show. But for how much longer? Do you remember? At the beginning she said she's a dancer. I can't remember if she was. I can't remember all the dances, but I said, these these are some professionals.

00:13:04
Speaker 3: Oh yes, when they came in to introduce themselves to the guys, and without their names or any sort of verbal exchange, they.

00:13:11
Speaker 2: Just expressed themselves sexually but artistically.

00:13:17
Speaker 3: But yes, you said, wow, she's got too many skills to have this be the first time she's done that.

00:13:21
Speaker 1: It was several of them. They were clearly killed. There were some rehearsal involved in that over years. But after that, Robes, I did think she was fairly matched well with Casey.

00:13:33
Speaker 2: I do. I still think she's fairly matched well with Casey.

00:13:36
Speaker 1: But then she comes in and yes, it was bizarre.

00:13:39
Speaker 2: It was.

00:13:40
Speaker 1: It was a terrible way to meet the other girls. When she comes back with Casey, they're all upset. He's trying to speak, and she speaks up and starts defending him and telling them the pipe down I'm from Inglewood. Like it all came out and that's fine. She had a bad moment. But then, Robes, was it last night. It was the redemptive show for her. She talked with some of the other girls and everything seemed to calm down.

00:14:02
Speaker 3: Everybody seems I was actually so pleasantly surprised that they all put down their armor put down their weapons and actually said, you know what, this isn't about you, This is about the guy. So they were able to actually kind of go into or lean into sisterhood and say, Casey is the problem, not you.

00:14:22
Speaker 1: What is the problem with the vetting? Stay here, we'll explain why this keeps happening and things keep getting missed. All right, folks, we continue on this episode of Amy and DJ. Yes, do we have another islander potentially on the chopping block talking about t T Tierra Davis. She's in there hooked up coupled up with case right now. But TMZ reporting they have gotten a hand on a restraining order that was issued against her when she was seventeen ish back in twenty eighteen, in which someone alleged that she threatened her with assault. Ropes, we talked about Kaiser. Alana Kaiser was the most recent just got kicked off this year. People were wondering, why in the hell how do they miss this and keep missing it? That was a very good explanation. In ropes, it's almost impossible for producers to catch some stuff, including what happened with a.

00:15:19
Speaker 3: Lanna Yes, because she put this up again she was fifteen, so that was six years ago, and it was on Snapchat, and so someone had to have recorded the snapchat or you know, and saved it, but it wasn't necessarily still up.

00:15:33
Speaker 2: Snapchat is personal. It disappears.

00:15:36
Speaker 3: So yes, someone had been holding on to this video and then decided to publish it once they saw she was a contestant. It didn't seem as though there was any way for producers to have known that video existed, to have known that she would have at one point posted this because Snapchat disappears. That's one of the I guess draws to that particular form of social media is that it's not supposed to last forever. But as parents have always worn their kids, people take screenshots, people record from their phone, and that's exactly what it looked like. We were seeing a recording of the original post, so producers would not have had access to that.

00:16:14
Speaker 1: So rooms you into this situation where this is a huge hit show. Everybody talks about it. So when there's a new announcement of a new cast member, a new bombshell, somebody looks up and go, oh, I know her, and then they start going through their phones and then they get excited to do what post something and take them down, and I go, I know, is it the right thing? Should we have known about this from Milana? I don't know, Robes. Is there another woman on the show, not black, who's used the N word and rapping the song before?

00:16:48
Speaker 3: Maybe, but we don't have video evidence of its the thing somebody.

00:16:51
Speaker 1: It's going to happen and this will continue to happen. And the reason now, Robes, that makes sense, but the restraining order rose, I'd be honest with you, I didn't fully comprehend this, but restraining orders often issued in civil.

00:17:04
Speaker 2: Court, civil not criminal.

00:17:07
Speaker 1: There's no criminal record, No criminal background check is going to show this unless the restraining order of protection is attached to an ongoing criminal case. This was not well. This seems like this could have been another situation where it was impossible. There's no way unless she told them that, they would have known.

00:17:27
Speaker 3: No, And I just think that's where we are. They're doing the best they can, but people, especially now look and we don't even know. I mean, it seems as though there really was obviously a court order that TMZ says they saw that they've posted screenshots of They're all over online. But I do think it's one of those moments where anyone can accuse anyone of something, and that needs to be taken into consideration because we don't know if this was revenge, you know, from align someone a love adversary to try and bring them down. We don't know, And so I actually would give space for the producers and even for Titi to be able to explain, Hey, wait a.

00:18:12
Speaker 2: Minute, that never happened.

00:18:14
Speaker 3: She just said it happened to get me in trouble, to punish me for something. So look, I think any one of us knows, especially when now these young folks are being catapulted into the spotlight. If anyone has a grievance with you, if anyone doesn't like you, there are so many avenues for people to come after you and to ruin your reputation, sometimes with credibility and sometimes without.

00:18:36
Speaker 1: And wrote to think this, whatever was going on between these two young ladies all those years ago, what is she sitting back and doing now laughing because she probably bothered her that Tit has become.

00:18:47
Speaker 2: A star a hundred percent, And.

00:18:51
Speaker 1: Did she even remember this? Did she leak something that.

00:18:54
Speaker 2: She who knows we have to consider all of that, don't know?

00:18:57
Speaker 1: Well, but you made a point that I didn't fully can This is one whereasa he said, she said, whose word do you take in something like that? And do you have to err on the side of extreme caution when you're talking about violence, Babe?

00:19:12
Speaker 2: I think you do.

00:19:13
Speaker 3: But I do think she deserves an opportunity to at least explain maybe her side of things because there is no video evidence. Look, if there was a video showing her saying I'm going to shoot you up, it's we're done.

00:19:27
Speaker 2: There's no question.

00:19:29
Speaker 3: There isn't a video, there isn't a smoking gun, So it's a she said.

00:19:34
Speaker 2: She said. Now because a judge issued the order, does.

00:19:37
Speaker 3: That rise to the level or is that also just a judge making a safe bet that it's better to have the restraining order put in place than not if anything were to happen. So I'm not sure what the threshold is for a judge to issue one. How much proof he had to see or she had to see to issue the order, I'm not clear on that.

00:19:57
Speaker 1: I'm smiling because of that line you said there was video, all bets are off and it'd be different. And all I see is a stool hurling across a living room and hitting a kid exactly, Frankie Taylor p.

00:20:08
Speaker 3: Even in some cases it might just delay things, not actually end things.

00:20:13
Speaker 1: What a season this has been for Love Island. Tonight is what movie night? I'm exhausted. What I just just can just do a spin off and just have Bryce and Trinity do their own thing Love Island, Bryce and Trinity. I would watch that show every night.

00:20:28
Speaker 2: I would watch Married Island, I would follow I.

00:20:31
Speaker 1: Would do that. Sorry, folks, As always, we appreciate you spending a little time with us on dj on behalf of my dear Amy Robot. We'll talk to you also
