A lot of people have followed this story, Robes, and this is the first time, Robes we heard his name and we saw his face, her sixteen year old step brother that is accused, Robes of heinous stuff.

Look, it was shocking to even hear that this eighteen year old cheerleader wanted to go to the University of Georgia, had all of these dreams. This cute girl was asphyxiated and early on, I think pretty quickly we heard, you know, rumblings that perhaps her stepbrother was a potential suspect, but then to hear that she was raped and asphyxiated, and then yes, it was confirmed that her stepbrother was the main suspect. To have him now arrested and charged as an adult, because as you pointed out, this is such a heinous crime. And to see his face, blonde hair, sixteen year old kid named Timothy Hudson and a kid. I say a kid because he looks like a kid. And yet because he looks like a kid, it's that much, I don't know, scarier, creepier, just to know what he's accused of.

Speaker 1: A reminder of the case, A lot of people remember they were on a cruise. Anna Kaefner was with her her dad or stepmom, her step siblings, and her siblings along with the grandparents. Her body was found over the seventh of last year. Her body was found under a bed, blankets covering her and also covering her life vests. It was clear that someone was trying to cover up her body. Now robes that is how the story came out initially, and obviously there's mystery in what happened, and clear right this is clear this was not some accident. Someone took effort to hide her body so Robes, Yes, you throw in the pictures throwing where she's from, and yes, a lot of headlines had actually cheerleader in the Yes. So this there was a lot of attention and intrigue in this mystery. And then Robes comes the headlines about who she was rooming with, who she was bunking with, who had access to her, who had I guess who had opportunity if you will, Robes, And it wasn't that. It was authorities that let us know it was a custody issue having nothing to do with Anna Keepner. Essentially that we got the first indication Robes that yeah, they're looking at the stepbrother.

That part of the beauty of this new blended family was that all the kids just got along so well. So that was what was so shocking when we were told that according to this now custody hearing, so the stepbrother, Timothy Hudson, is the son of the step mother, so Anna Keepner's biological father and her stepmother.

That's the first correct word we had heard of any of this, and things that kept pretty quiet. So we moved forward, We go forward, and in fact, he ends up, yes, he ends up getting arrested but Robes, he was treated early on as a minor. Grand jury comes back charges him as an adult. So this brings us all now to today, Robes and all of this we're talking about since November, and whatever we have said or thought or heard about this step brother, he has been known as just that, the step brother. I believe at one point, Robes his initials were being used.

When you murder is tough and awful and horrific, and the final most awful evil act you can commit. And I look at him and I think, my god, how is a monster behind that childlike face? That like sixteen year old he actually looks like he's fourteen that you know, boys are a little bit later to bloom. I think, and I think you just think about how someone that young is capable of something that evil, because maybe you could even explain, I don't know rough housing they went wrong, but to know that there was a violent sexual act beforehand, that is a game changer.

Yeah, I really hope this was an accident. Yeah, and he panicked right that. We really really hoped. Robes, when this stuff started coming out, your hearts sinks. It just does to as what they described, and some new details have been coming out, and we got some new details even today with some of these court filings. So Robes, we understand again her body was found on November seventh, where they say now they have documented, they have the evidence that proved the video that she went into that room at seven thirty eight the night before and she never came out.

Can you imagine that younger brother coming in not knowing that his stepsister was raped, asphyxiated and hidden under beneath her bed, and he goes in and sleeps in that room.

But for now, Timothy Hudson is free, left without handcuffs, left without shackles, and freely walked out of that courtroom with his family with just a GPS monitor. But to learn because the prosecutor brought this up that he is going back with a family that has two young children in the home.

Are they going to throw him in prison? Are they going to give him bail or require him to pay it? And Robes, I'm not sure what to say about it, to think about it, and I don't understand the judicial system fully and all the things this judge has to factor in. But someone is accused of rape and murder of his step sibling who is also a teenager, and you're allowing him to go into a home where there are other miners.

And that was question today about whether or not him walking into that courtroom, if he was going to be able to walk out, because there was question now that he is being charged, so at least the grand jury viewing him as an adult. Are they going to throw him in prison? Are they going to give him bail or require him to pay it? And Robes, I'm not sure what to say about it, to think about it, and I don't understand the judicial system fully and all the things this judge has to factor in. But someone is accused of rape and murder of his step sibling who is also a teenager, and you're allowing him to go into a home where there are other miners.

Speaker 2: The prosecutor noted that, Babe, the prosecutor said this, this is exactly what the prosecutor told the judge just today and said, yes, Timothy Hudson is living in a house with two kids, and the prosecutor she asked the judge what the judge needed to decide whether or not Timothy Hudson was still a danger, and she asked a second dead body. She did not mince words, but it did not move the judge.

Committed the crime while perpetrating quote aggravated sexual assault. We're saying that he killed somebody while also doing this other awful thing. Robes they describe. It makes it all the more vile. And now to think that he is living with family with minors, with these unbelievable accusations hanging over his head, I can only think his aunt and uncle, for whatever reason that we can't possibly know at this point, believe that he isn't a threat.
