Better than the daily
Love Martinez’s voice and her interview style. Also, I find the topics more relevant and the production style is sophisticated without being over the top.

Excellent Features
The longer features such as the January 6th episode or the Afghanistan pull-out episode are extremely well done. Day to day it’s a fine, we’ll produced show.
It might be just me, but people on the show often sound ‘wet’, like they are phlegmy. It’s unsettling.

What really happened as the US left Afghanistan
This was one of the best episodes of what is a high quality podcast. Thank you for sharing the stories of those who were there during the horrific evacuation of Afghanistan. After spending seven months of my life in Afghanistan serving with my nation’s DoD, this report took me back, and the author of the report had such a nuanced view of the highs and lows, the good and bad of the Coalition’s time there, that I really identified with. Thank you for this story - one that could easily have not come to light.

Martine Buckles Down
Longtime WaPo subscriber, and now listen to Post Reports daily too! Thank you for ditching that awful triangle sound at the start. Martine asks the right questions, but opportunities are missed often. ( e.g., Don’t assume your audience knows what ‘cloture’, ‘reconciliation’, and ‘ Majority Whip’ mean - explain it to novices. )
Finally, like The Daily, Post Reports truly shines when it sticks to one topic/subject and does a deep dive on same.

Stacy Abrams is no Trump
in general, I love Post Reports… but Amy Gardner’s false comparison of Stacy Abrams saying her race against Kemp was “rigged” with Trump’s big lie is mixing apples and oranges. In Kemp’s capacity as Secretary of State of Georgia, he implemented election rules which benefited his candidacy (and that of other Republicans) such as purging the voter rolls and other measures that made it more difficult for African Americans in particular to vote. His efforts were widely and substantively documented. That’s a whole lot different than Trump’s baseless allegations of suitcases full of fraudulent votes, etc etc. This type of false equivalency falls short of the Post’s usual high standards.

Clear and informative
“It started in the fourth grade building” was an incredibly informative episode. Thank you for sharing statistics about gun violence in the US and worldwide, recapping our policy proposals and where they’re blocked, and more. The information was compelling and clear.

Credit sources information
I have been listening to the Washington Post for quite sometimes and I enjoy quality, analysis and guess speakers (expert of matters). I decided to subscribe to the premium reports so I can enjoy quality information before upcoming elections. Trump & misinformation & lies still there so it is important to equip myself with good reliable information. I think WP provides just that.

Concise powerful content
I used to live overseas and this was a great way of catching up on some of the larger topics going on in the US. It also helps share stories in a way that was heartwarming and informative. The entire crew on this podcast helped me go for long walks, decompress after a long day, and feel a little bit closer to the people who are a part of the US.

Misinformation war in Ukraine
Incredibly interesting and informative reporting. I truly love Post Reports. However I struggled to stay focused on this particular story due to the guest reporter’s intense vocal fry. Normally I wouldn’t be this forward but honestly, I almost couldn’t bear it.
