Never Again
The Washington Post apparently believes both Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are equally qualified to be President and thus doesn’t make an endorsement in a critical election. I have listened to my final episode of this program.
Vocal Fry Valley Girl: get out of my ears
Apart from the bothsiderist “analysis” and sanewashing Marianne Levine needs to take voice lessons because she is unlistenable.
I want to like it.
Please tell Marianne LeVine that if she wants to be taken seriously, please stop using her junior high voice. I appreciate the reporting but can’t tolerate the way she speaks.
Annoying voice
Maryann Please stop annoying Vally girl affectation. Unprofessional
Poor simplistic reporting
I just finished listening to an episode on how the Harris and Trump would affect your healthcare. It was written at a level below what fifth graders would be able to understand. The episode rolled the whole topic of abortion into “healthcare” like it was just another aspect of healthcare that people debate about and not a subject that has been politically manipulated for decades. Nothing to see here people move along. The fake Q&A between the host and the reporter is so lacking in insight. Softball questions that shed no light. Unsubscribe!

Disappointing because unbalanced
Ava Wallace presents WNNA players as victims of Caitlin Clark fans. However, Wallace deliberately neglects to mention the flagrant fouling against Clark that in general hasn’t been called (Britney Griner hits Clark in the face, no call; Dijonai Carrington pokes Clark in eye with 2 inch nails). This is what upsets Clark fans and with good reason. Wallace could have at least mentioned it as a controversy. I expect the Post to be balanced. While Wallace delivers her words with presence, she skewed the story. People watch Clark because she is next level good; something the WNBA hasn’t seen before.
Say the word “terrorist” already!
Elahe and Martine seem incapable of telling any story about Israel without simultaneously praising Hamas or Hezbollah, calling them “militant groups”. Hey ladies: the word is TERRORIST. Your blind bias is obvious and disgusting. I canceled my subscription to this podcast and the Post in general after their crystal-clear hatred of all things Israeli and/or Jewish came tumbling out in this last year. Good riddance to bad rubbish.
Democracy dies in darkness, and you guys have turned off the lights…
I find it hilarious that your show buys commercial space on conservative and libertarian podcasts. I used to think the WaPo was respectable and fair, albeit a tad left leaning. I grew up the daughter of a dedicated set of democrats, my dad the president of his local OCAW union. I cannot believe how far your newspaper has fallen into hiding truths, downplaying important stories, and promoting communistic rhetoric. The two stars for this podcast is because I hope at least your print media is more centrist, but based on what I’ve heard so far, I’m not encouraged. Such a shame.
Long decline
I used to be a big Washington Post fan, but good Lord over the last year and a half or so has just been a bunch of hot ideological garbage. A perfect example is today’s episode on Wednesday, September 25 discussing the possible emerging war between Hasbulla and Israel. The conversation starts off with a Washington Post “reporter“ interviewing a lady from Lebanon, the Lebanese lady was asked by the reporter if she was impacted By Israel’s bombs (which is a loaded in itself…), and the reporter was shown the ladies phone who scrolled to her social media accounts showing “people who had died from bombs“. News like this is embarrassing. I’m embarrassed that the Washington Post publishes contents like this. I used to be a big fan, but you have to report the story, not report your heart. this is a horrible example of news coverage and should strictly be labeled as a personal piece. This piece is a microcosm of similar content broadly covering the war between Israel and Hamas. But even outside of this war, the Post has started to model most of the stories in a very opinionated way, just like this. Again, most of the content being provided here are opinion pieces, not news pieces. The Post should really reconsider retiling their podcast.
Episode on FDA Front of packaged food labeling proposal
The show hosts kept referring to Cheerios as some sort of unhealthy food. This is clearly proof that the current labeling isn’t working because if you look at the label for Cheerios you see it is high in fiber, has a decent amount of protein and is low in sugar and fat. What’s not to like about that?
Way too liberal
I was looking for a podcast where I can get my fair and balanced news. This podcast you can tell after a few episodes that is way too left leaning. Good luck in sustaining this mess.
Mostly slop
There are a few good reports but the second they get onto anything political it’s turns into propaganda ProleFeed slop…. The lastest report focusing on Haitians and the rumors of cat eating totally ignores the real issue of what happens when you import 1/3 of a town’s population from a third world failed state over less then a year

Elahe and Martine are great!
I listen to Post Reports almost every morning on my commute (when I'm not listening to my book club book on audible (but I catch up on episodes in between meetings)). Elahe and Martine are such great company on the drive; I appreciate their insightful questions and thoughtful discussion with guests, and I know I can rely on them to keep me up to date on the biggest news of the day. They've upped my water-cooler-chat game immeasurably.
Affirmation
You are a great podcast host!
Very Hit or Miss
I don’t mind the politics. I don’t mind the takes. But lately the topics have been DRY. Drink a cup of coffee at least before you go and spew 1800’s history on an episode of a doomed election in a gerrymandered district. (Speaking of which, ran dry on episode ideas that day?)
Ukraine update
The Ukraine war analysis was rudimentary and lacked certainty on why Ukraine is fighting for their life and their freedoms. It’s as if it’s the first time you read about it. You need to bring on board a more seasoned war commentator explaining why wars become necessary if you have been attacked.
Harris Walz interview pod
Really ? Are you serious ? Spare me your critic on this Inventing cynicism
Sexist & discriminatory against women
I like this podcast for election coverage but please stay out of culture war issues. For instance, the recent episode on trans athletes was ridiculous. Men have 40% larger lung capacity than women. They also have longer limbs and therefore longer strides. All this and more are what make men so much faster at running than women. Hence, why there has always been a gender divide in sports. Now that people are switching genders all the time, it’s obvious that sports should not be separated by gender, but rather by biological sex. Trans men have no chance to win against cis men and cis women have no chance to win against trans women. Biological males are going to destroy females in sports 99% of the time. Allowing trans women to compete in female sports is deeply unfair to cis women and physically endangers their safety. To promote such nonsense is actually sexist and discriminatory against a real marginalized group— women. Do better.
The long aftermath… 8/17/24
Martine, I am a 64 year old, progressive, crazy liberal lol white woman. This episode hit me very hard. I just want to comment - on you. How you hear this story and so many like them, as a young black woman, with such professionalism and grace just astounds me. I am in awe. And as a white woman, I just really need to say I am just so so sorry. My husband and I are devastated and ashamed by what our “ ancestors “ have done. I am just so sorry, and so impressed by you. I hope this isn’t inappropriate. I don’t pretend to understand what you go through. I’m just so horrified. It’s what is in my heart, as I finish listening to this story. You are an amazing young woman.
Propaganda
Not worth the breath used to make this
What happened?
I just listened to the 8/16 episode. Was everyone drunk? I’ll stick to podcasts from The Times from now on. Garbage.
a bit of an echo chamber
i used to listen a lot, but lately i’ve been disappointed. this show wants to be a serious newsy show but struggles dearly for any nuance or balance, particularly when covering culture issues (surprise surprise, they can be touchy!) i’m not sure if this was always the case & i missed it because i tend to agree with their bias, or if it’s become more pronounced? Often the hosts have clearly picked a good side and a bad side to frame the hot-button issue being covered & they tend to REALLY straw man the arguments for the side they apparently feel are the bad guys. (a recent episode on transwomens’ participation in pro/collegiate sport is a case in point) This is fine if you don’t want your priors challenged, but for listeners that genuinely want to learn & engage with the issue it would be helpful to present both sides’ BEST arguments & let us make up our own minds. most issues really are more complex than post reports would have you believe.
